I really wanted to use these sandals this summer. The footbed is great for walking. The straps are too short for my feet. I don't know if someone with skinny feet could use them. My feet are chubby and wide. The only width option was medium. If the straps were longer, I could have kept them.
I will return them, unfortunately.

Felt very stiff like I would get blisters from wearing so I took them back.

The molding fit my feet in all the wrong places. I tried my regular size and it felt so short I thought it was incorrectly sized. Tried another pair in my size, same feel. Tried a size larger- different but still not a good fit. Otherwise, the sandals are nice-looking.

The hump right below the toes hurt the ball of my foot on the left foot, not on the right foot. If LLBEAN would take the hump out of the design they would be great. I wore them 1 day and my foot was sore for 4 days. I love the sandal and wish I could have kept them. Sent them back.

Pretty, but there was a hard sharp seam on each instep strap that made them impossible to wear. Maybe it was just a fluke on the pair I bought, or maybe a design flaw. I returned them.

I had to return these sandals. The top strap material where the stitching is too rough and it wears a hole in the top of your foot when you wear them..

I had this sandal for years and years and they finally wore out. Got the new ones and they were very uncomfortable, too bad as I really liked the older ones. Sent them back

I had owned two pairs of this shoes and they were great. But this time the exact model and same size hurt both of my feet.

These sandals had the potential to be very nice, but had a serious design flaw. The velcro was placed poorly....after adjusting the straps to fit properly, some of the hooks would not connect sufficiently with the loop counterpart of the velco, leaving the strap to stick straight out (and way out). They looked ridiculous. Promptly returned them.

I had to send these back. The straps were scratchy and would have irritated my foot. The foot bed also had tiny points (from the molding process) that stuck up into the bottom of my foot.. The quality was disappointing for an LL Bean product.

The style has changed in a bad way from prior years: shorter footbed, shorter straps, slightly lower placement of the toe strap, less cushion in the sole. Ugh. I loved these and wore out two pairs. This would be the third and I'm returning them. It's so frustrating when a great product is changed and the quality goes out the window.

The shoe was shorter than previous LL Bean size 8 sandals I've purchased. The straps are poor quality and irritating.

Product sole has shrunk in length and widthpoorly conceived and shoddily manufactured. A Size 8M is now designed to fit a size 7 or smaller. In comparing these sandals to my earlier pairs and examining them side by side, it is obvious that these appear to be, if not actually LL Bean counterfeits, made to be cheap imitations of a no longer quality product. After over 20 years of being a loyal customer, I must say goodbye to Boothbay Sandals, unless you can restore the original sandal and the excellent standard I always relied uponI loved you, onceIt may be time to say goodbye.

I had to return these sandals. The strap material is too rough and it wears a hole in the top of your foot when you wear them. Most sandals with those kind of straps use a padding on the back side but LLB does not. This is my second pair and style I have tried and I have had to return both.

I wanted these sandals to work, but I have a high instep and couldn't adjust the top strap to be comfortable.

About 5/6 years ago I bought the leather pair of boothbay sandals which lasted this whole time, so I thought, "Why not get another pair?" Well the new pair came (ordered the same size as before 11) and they are too small (my toes were over the front.) I compared them to my old pair and sure enough they are shorter for the same size...what happened here, L.L. Bean? Very disappointing since it is already difficult enough to find a good pair of shoes in my size, but to order a pair I have had before for it to come and essentially be a 9 or 10 instead of 11 (marked as 11) is frustrating to say the least.

Very poorly made. Totally different fit than the same sandal i bought previous. Straps are too long and heel fit is wide and awful. Like a whole different sandal. So disappointed! These are the sandals i usually wear all summer. They should not be called "Boothbay." Awful. I returned them.

Heel band is poorly designed. Irritating to the where the band rests on heel. Only had them on to try and it was far from comfortable. Very similar design to a Teva brand sandal, but does not meet the standards. Disappointed. They were returned to store.

These sandals were way shorter than the size 11 I normally purchase. About 1 inch shorter. They must have been mislabeled.

Very disappointing. Were mine defective? Sandals were stiff. Two lower straps were much too long. Ankle strap was too short. Outer side mid straps bulged away from foot. My first negative LLBean review; returned.

My first pair of these (purchased on 5/25/20) were comfortable, looked nice, and were easy to get on and off. The pairs I ordered recently (I tried an exchange but it had the same problem), did not conform to my heels because of an insert pad that was not in the earlier version.

I bought these to replace an old pair. The velcro on the old pair is wearing out and doesn't keep the straps secure. The new pair had very little velcro to hold the ankle strap in place unless you have a very thin ankle. I had to return them and hope LLBean will correct this design flaw

In 2014 I had looked at and tried on many different brands and styles sandals in preparation for a trip to Greece. I have sensitive feet and none of them fit well or were comfortable enough. I then ordered my first pair of size 8 medium women's Boothbay Sandals and the moment I put them on, they fit perfectly and were very comfortable....I wore them all the time.
Fast forward to 2020 and I decided to order a new pair because the old pair were a bit ratty and - my only complaint - the inner soles looked grungy in spite of washing them regularly because they were a light cream color.
I ordered a new pair of what I thought were the same sandal in July 2020 and was pleased to see that the innersole was a sensible gray. Unfortunately, after wearing them a few times, I ended up with irritated spots and actually bled from two of them. When I looked to figure out what it was, I saw that there was rough, sharp stitching on the inside of the straps, which I had experienced when trying other brands. When I compared them to my old pair, I could see that the old pair had no stitching on the skin side of the straps to rub against my skin. Apparently the design or pattern was changed or the quality control has slipped - perhaps a different manufacturer? Whatever the case, I'm very disappointed and I returned them. Unfortunately, I had thrown the old ones away, so I'm now back to square one on finding a comfortable walking sandal.
