These are impressively comfortable, with lots of cushioning. I think they would be super comfy for long walks. Unfortunately, the back strap is not adjustable. If you have narrow heels, you probably won't like these. There was at least a quarter inch gap between the strap and my heel, with no way to tighten it up.

Unlike older LLBean sandals, the velcro on the strap closest to the ankle is way too short!

The insole has bumps from little rubber balls that look like they are left over from the making of the rubber insole. It's as if there were no finishing or cleanup of the sandal. It felt like having small sand or pebble bits in my shoe (if it were a regular shoe). The rubber also didn't allow for the heat/sweat of the foot's sole. However, I gave it three stars because the sandal looked and fit nice, and most likely the rubber bits were a defect of that particular lot. Not sure. Others may get the sandal without this problem. I did try getting a different pair, but it had the same issue.

I really wanted to love these sandals. I was reminded of some leather sandals I purchased years ago similar to these. I walked all over France and Italy in them on two separate vacations. Boothbay is not exactly what I was looking for. The main difference is they arent leather. They arent soft under my old feet, plus they are just a bit stiff for a 76 year old for daily treks, which is what I needed. They are great for the younger folks, however. Great price, too for a very well-made sandal.

I was hoping these would fit the same as the ones I've had for years, but they were too short for a size 9 and the heel strap seems to be misplaced so as not to fit right.

Size 10 and my toes are nearly off the front end. Sending them back for a size 11

The shoe fits well. Only negative is the straps aren't long enough, they don't cross over the entire shoe

I like the look of these sandals, however, could not adjust them to make comfortable. Will be returning.

I have worn Boothbay sandals for many years and really like them. I ordered some this fall in size 7, the size I usually wear, and when they came, they were shorter than the ones I have had in the past. It is not by much, but enough so that my toes come too close to the edge of the sole. I sent that pair back and requested another in case the size of that pair was mismarked, but the new pair that came is the same way. I wonder if Beans has started using a different supplier, or if the supplier has changed its manufacturing process and the result is a sandal with a slightly shorter sole. I will probably keep the too small pair, but not order again, or if I do, I will order the next size larger than I have in the past.

I'm an 8.5, and I ordered this sandal in an 8 (too small) and then in a 9 (too large). It's a shame they are not sold in half sizes because the arch support is great, and I also liked the color.

Just the style I wanted, however it did not fit my foot well. I have a high instep and the strap would not reach across my foot - not long enough. Oh well.

These seem like very nice sandals, but they were way too big for me, and I actually did not like them in person, so I will be returning them. Otherwise, the service and ordering process were terrific, as usual!

Very comfortable as long as I wear thick socks, and adjusted to the tightest fit. otherwise they're too loose and too soft, make me feel like walking on sanded beach.. I don't have narrow feet. I wear running shoes most of time in recent years, so much so that my older dressy shoes are too narrow for me. I'm thinking about returning them.

The sandal was clunky and the back strap did not fit appropriately. I returned the item.

I wish there were more straps in the front so it would feel more secure. I have a brown sandal from L.L. Bean that i bought years ago. It has more straps in front and feels secure.

I had an identical pair of these sandals and liked them very much. They fit well and I wore them for years. So when it was time for new ones, I was glad to see these Boothbay sandals were still available. When I received them, they did not fit like the old sandals. Noticeably shorter, and the strap was snug. Very disappointing. I had to return them. I would only recommend the shoes if you could buy them in a store and try them on.

I loved these sandals in the past. However, my latest purchase was a disappointment. I wore them outside for one day and noticed shredding on the sole in the outside heels and front. My previous pair lasted for years. How does this even happen? One day? CS was helpful and said I have a certain timeframe to return them and receive a refund. Keeping that in mind, I am wearing them a bit longer to see how quickly they degrade. It's a shame. The sandals are so comfortable but the soles have been redesigned in a poorer manner.

I'm very disappointed to the "new" look of this Sandal. I have the older style which has a cream colored instep and dark sole. The new revised Edition has the opposite: Dark instep and cream sole. Why would you change it to the new look: ugly! The cream sole will get dirty quickly and the dark insole will get too hot here in the south, especially in the sun. I will try to recondition my previous sandal and continue to wear them. They are my favorite. I also have them in black and brown which I wear in the fall and early spring.

I normally wear a size 7 1/2 and I ordered size 7. The sole is about an inch shorter than a size 7 Teva sandal that I bought it to replace. Half sizes should order UP. Also the heel strap is rough. I should have returned them for exchange but I already threw away the box and paperwork.

Over the past five or six years, I have purchased two pair of the stone color with a dark sole and one pair of black. All fit extremely well and very comfortable. This purchase...I did not care for the light colored sole. In addition, the straps across the width of foot were too short. I was very disappointed with this recent purchase as I love everything about the previous three pairs. Don't know if you're using another manufacturer but hope the color of sole and length of straps are corrected. I would buy several more pairs.

I had high hopes for these sandals after reading the reviews, but alas, they are not comfortable for me. The heel strap was not adjustable--that might have helped. My feet generally hurt me from arthritis, and I just couldn't see going for walks in these sandals. I returned them.

At first the felt great. Walking in them inside on cement floors hurt my feet. The strap on the back of the sandal was too low and made walking difficult. They just aren't for me. They were not comfortable.

I usually wear a size 9 in LL Bean sandals and others. But this was too long. I ordered the size 8 and that was too short. I needed a size 8 1/2 apparently and had to return both pairs. Loved them otherwise. Would be more than happy to buy several pairs for around the house, hiking, and shopping if you could offer half sizes. Great cushioning and support and not too much of a "design" on the top of the foot bed that can irritate sensitive feet. Please make these in half sizes or change your sizing back to what it may have been the last time I ordered LL Bean sandals (they lasted for years so that could have been a while ago).

I wasn't as impressed by the quality as I have been with previous purchases. Color was also a bit different the online photos. Comfort is also an issue as they are heavy and not very cool on the feet.
