I love these sandals .. but I bought them a few years ago and these new ones are a bit shorter! The straps are also longer so they hang off the side a little more

Love the color and the fact the straps are padded. Shaped soles confirm to foot too!

These sandals are good for walking a lot. I have wide feet, but the adjustable straps allow for a good fit. They feel good on my feet.

These sandals are well made and comfortable. As others have mentioned, they could use some improvement in the ankle and heel area.The ankle strap could use more Velcro length and the heel strap is not adjustable.

The quality is still good but feels like there is less cushion on this sandal. This does not please me. My feet hurt more quickly now when standing or walking, This never used to be so.

I bought these shoes as "back up shoes", just in case I couldn't find a more stylish shoe that would be more comfortable. I tested them for comfort while working at home. I taught a 2 hour webinar, and I stand while teaching. When it was over, I noticed that my feet didn't hurt. Frankly, if I hadn't tested them while training, I would've bought a more stylish and more expensive shoe at a different store. I was impressed that my feet felt great after standing in same spot for nearly two hours. Although I didn't trust the other sandals to be as comfortable, I still searched high and low for style. I found nothing! This said, I'm so glad that I didn't ditch these shoes!! I walked about six miles in these on one day about four miles the next day. Not one time did my feet hurt. I love these sandals and would recommend them for people who prioritize comfort over style. I would gladly participate in an LLBean focus group to figure out how they could maintain the comfort, but make them look better.

Two years ago I ordered the tan pair, still wearing them often. I have the black pair I wear less often. Decided to get the navy/white this summer for a change. I need the support the shoe offers as well as the comfort from the velcro straps to adjust as needed. Good shoe....good value.

The sandal is well constructed and well-suited to what I was looking for - something comfortable to walk in and to use with beach and water activities. But the length is marginal. I'm a consistent size 9 but a little more length would be better.

the straps may could be somewhat more comfortable in the feel, felt just slightly scratchy, no big problem however

The sandals look very nice. They are of good quality materials. Nice and cushy under foot. The several straps give good support and adjustability. After I wore them the first time, the back of my right heel was sore. There was no blister or redness, but the heel strap was sort of pressing into a crease in my skin. First I trimmed and re-sewed the soft padding insert to lower it. When that didn't improve the comfort, I compared the height to the heel strap on the left sandal which felt fine on my foot. The right one was higher above the sole. So I sewed a tiny tuck in the strap to lower it. That seems to have fixed the problem. Also the outside of the sole seems to be coated with some sort of thin, textured fabric-like substance that wore through on the first wearing. It's not peeling or anything, just disappearing. I give them four stars because I like them, they look good and feel good, and although I had trouble with the one heel strap, I will assume it was a fluke.

I had trouble with blisters at first, until I got the straps adjusted correctly. They're working well now.

Generally comfortable sandals, although it took quite awhile to break them in (or to break my feet in to the sandals) that left me with open wounds for a week . . . I do wish they had more arch support - I feel like the middle of my foot doesn't even touch the sole of the shoe. As they are breaking in this is improving, as I imagine the sole under the ball of my foot and my heel is compacting. People with lower arches might have no problem. They are not my favorite sandals ever, but I was desperate (old sandals broke just days before a beach vacation) so decided to keep them. They are perhaps a little over engineered - i see no advantage to having 3 straps instead of 2, maybe it's supposed to be more fashionable?

I love the color and style, however the longer I had them on my feet, my feet felt hot. Just not that comfortable since I live in Az where it is really hot

I normally wear a size 9.5 or 10 M , however these size 10 were a whole size smaller. I had a pair of these that I bought about 3 years ago in a brown leather and they fit with room to spare in a 10,. I sent back my current size 10 and asked for an 11 M , they fit well, but not as roomy as he original 10 M pair. They are bouncy and great for walking. I highly recommend them , but if you're normally a size 11 you will find them too short in the length.

I had a compound fracture of my left ankle last year and the heel area on this sandal was too soft. After wearing it for just a short time my ankle really ached. Not enough support. I did love the look of the sandals and wished I could have kept them.

I was looking for a pair of sturdy but comfortable sandals to wear around town, to the swimming pool, etc. These are exactly what I needed. They fit well and provide good support for the feet while walking and riding a bike.

Dear LL Bean: I've been wearing these for years as cushy, stylish and true to size. Trouble is, I seem to be allergic to the (plastic-rubber?) bottoms, my feet soles feel hot and itchy. I'd prefer leather lined please! Bonnie in California

Last summer, I ordered a pair of these sandals to replace the pair I had been wearing for several years. These shoes looked terrific with jeans, shorts, and casual dresses or skirts. They also gave my feet strong support, and the adjustable straps allowed me to fit them comfortably around my bunions. I loved these sandals! When I ordered the new pair, however, I was dismayed to discover that they measured close to 1/2" shorter than my old pair. This made them too short for my feet, and I had to return them. I was very disappointed. I hope that this year's sandals will match the old ones in size.

This is my second pair of these Boothbay sandals. I have had a black pair for several years and they still look great. I have a hard time finding comfortable shoes and sandals, but I love these! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars, is that the color seems to have some variation around the edges of the sandals that doesn't seem normal.

I have a pair of these sandals, and I wanted to replace them this summer. I love the adjustable straps across the whole foot, and the sand color matches both jeans and sundresses well. The sandals have worn well, but they are a few years old and a bit dingy. I ordered an 11, the same size that I have, and was dismayed to discover that the new size 11 is about 1/3" shorter than my old pair. This was just enough to cause my toes to touch the ends of the shoes. They are too short, and I had to return them. I hope this problem is resolved before next summer.

I purchased these sandals to wear with navy outfits this summer. They are very nice looking. I purchased a size 10, which is my regular shoe size. The length is perfect. The right sandal feels slightly better than the left but I'm sure it's just my feet. I look forward to wearing them for many years to come.

These sandals are comfortable for my daily walks in Summer. There was adequate arch support for my feet. The adjustable straps allow for a good fit with or without socks.

I wear a half-size but bought down rather than up. For high arches and very narrow feet, these are perfect: the three straps stay velcroed even in fast walks and offer a good range of sizing (some from other companies don't have sufficient velcro to be made tight enough). The soles are nice and soft-- fine for even cobblestones-- and the heel isn't much higher than the rest of the sole (I can't wear heels). The offwhite color is a little odd but the fit is worth it!

I'm mostly happy with my new sandals. The look is great however, they only come in whole sizes. I wear a 7 1/2 so I had to get an 8. It's a tad big, but I can manage. Please consider making all your shoes/sandals/boots in half sizes. It makes deciding to buy easier and not leaving customers who wear half sizes have to compromise on fit and comfort.

I've owned several pairs of these over the years and I hoped they had redesigned the placement of the velcro on the straps. There isn't enough loop on the tow straps especially the middle one. In the past I sewed on extra loop. Otherwise, when the sandals are on my feet the strap has only about 1/4" of velcro loop and hoop attached. I returned these and bought Teva Terra Fi Lite Sandals which are a good alternative.
