Hours to put together and grandson was so happy. Yet.... The scanner worked fine but NO functional mic! Keypad made NO sounds... the "atm" machine made NO sound. For the price you would think they would make this product more enjoyable and functional.

The labeling of all the parts, hardware and the assembly instruction manual for this item we're phenomenally good. Kudos to whoever edited the manual. The parts were high quality and fit together very well. The absolutely only negative and reason I didn't get five stars was that the credit card scanner mechanism that uses a magnetic wand to wipe clean the signatures does not work very well. I lightly wrote a letter on the screen and after many many many wipes with the clearing wand you could still see part of the letter. I suggested my daughter ask for a replacement part to see if this was defective.

It's been fun watching the big kids "buy" food and items from our son and his excitement to ring them up. It's a super cute toy, only wish the pin pad buttons made a "beep" noise and the worker's speaker button on the register was a functioning microphone. Just think that would be fun. My husband assembled it within an hour. It wasn't difficult, but there were many pieces he mentioned that he was surprised weren't already put together. I'm sure we will love this toy for a long time - thanks Melissa & Doug!

Not too difficult to put together. A couple of inner pages fell out of the instructions and I didn't realize that I went from step 9 straight to 14. Slowed me down by about 20-30 minutes before I figured out what the heck I was doing 'wrong'. The birthday girl loves it so worth the bit of aggravation.

We bought this for our three kids for Christmas. They always come to the store with us and emphatically beep with the scanner at the store for each item we purchase. Needless to say they were very excited when they could beep their own items at home! My daughter accidentally pulled off the pen for the keypad. Since the break they have not wanted to play with the grocery store as much. Is there any way to fix or replace? We would love some input if possible on how to keep Fresh Mart working properly our home! Thank you!

Purchased daughter loves it but scanner barley beeps and Conveyor belt does not move.

Got this for my 3 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. Everything was very easy to assemble and love that there were no annoying stickers to put on!! The only negative I have is that the customer side of the key pad does not make the noise when you push buttons nor when slide/insert card. Other then that this is awesome! Wish we had it when I was growing up!

Loved how easy this was to follow assembly instructions! This is a sturdy well made piece to add to our playroom. However I do not like how the fridge door is plastic. About two weeks of play and the plastic door is already broken at the bottom hinge. I wish this had a wooden door like the kitchen set.

We love Melissa and Doug Products! But I am disappointed that it appears to not have an on/off switch for the scanner and we have went through 2 sets of batteries in 2 days

The children at our preschool love this product! It took a while to build, and I am glad we had two people doing it. It says you just need a screw driver to build it, but we used and electric one and that helped save a lot of time. The store is a little smaller than we expected, but is still fantastic! The "pen" was broken off of the machine in a couple days. I was afraid that would happen, it was attached by a small wire. I would highly recommend this product. One of our teachers saw the quality and how much it is enjoyed and she is buying it for her family for Christmas.

This was a very expensive toy to get all the parts, and like another review I just read, the conveyor wasn't pre-drilled for assembly. It also broke immediately when my son used it. If I hadn't just read to other reviews saying the same thing I might have thought my son was too rough, but I'm more frustrated that I emailed the company on 12/22/18 and received no response. I wanted to order a new belt so I could make it usable again, but they have not answered. I went ahead and emailed again today in case they missed the first one. If not, I'll try to call the toll free number next and he asks me about it every time he goes to play with the store. I still rate it high though because it really is a beautiful set that my son loves playing with and makes him come alive with excitement.

Very nice, just a little small for 5/6 year olds but you can make it work using a chair behind the counter.

My 3 year old grandson loves it! It took a while to assemble, but the instructions and the packaging of the hardware are the best I've seen. The quality of materials is excellent as well. When I had to carry the product I did get some slices in my hand. They weren't very deep, but deep enough to burn when I washed my hands. I suggest wearing gloves if you're going to hold it on the bottom to carry it.

Kids love it. Really cute how you scan the food and are able to insert credit card chip and sign pad. Only thing I think would make it better is all the buttons should make noises.

I would have expected the fridge door to be more sturdy and stronger like the rest of it. The door broke within the first 24 hours of playing with it. I would recommend to a friend but tell them to not attach the door.

I purchased this kitchen before Christmas and put together by myself. Instructions were easy to understand. Finished product was a hit with my kids. However after a week of play, the plastic tab on the bottom of the fridge door broke off. I tried glueing which only worked for two days and it had broken again. Now their "feeezer" section is no more. It's very disappointing considering the price of this item. It should be sturdier. They didn't slam the door open either, they simply opened it, and it snapped off.

My daughter absolutely loves this! However I am very disappointed with costumer service. I am missing a few parts.

Purchase the product back in the fall for my daughter for Christmas. I really liked the product however when we took it out of the box a piece of the wood was broken. My 5 year old still likes to play with it but it affects the conveyor.

My kid loves this. Easy to put together, and pretty well built. Would have given 5 stars except the conveyor stopped spinning after the first time he used it.

the Conveyor belts worked for two days can't seem to crank it anymore. The money draw is very hard to pull in and out. Box was all dented and some of the wood pieces were also still did my best to put it together but not what I expected from Melissa and Doug

We bought this another version of this my child for her birthday, shortly after opening the scanner and register broke. We changed the batteries several times and still doesn't work. I reached out to the company in hopes they will fix this issue! Hoping to hear soon!

I have a daycare and my kids favorite thing to play is store, so I purchased this as their Christmas gift. We have had set up about a month and within first week scanner stopped working. I tried new batteries but still not working. Im disappointed as I paid good money for it and the kids aren't excited to play with it now without the scanner noise. Any ideas how yo fix this? I would love to recommend this but without the scanner working kids just aren't interested.
