I didn't like the elastic support on the sides of the shoe.It made the shoe feel tight.

Less room for toes

I really wanted to love these, as I've had several pairs over the last few years, but these are run narrow. I got cramping in my feet just sitting around the house to see if I could keep them (I cannot). I need a 2E shoe, and New Balance has always come through until now. They clearly don't have people with wide feet testing their shoes.

While I really like Fresh Foam shoes, I ultimately decided this color was not right for me.

I sadly had to return these as they were too narrow for me, even though they were a wide. Everything else was great - very comfy but I need a wider toebox.

I ordered the extra wide version of these shoes, which usually works well for me with New Balance. When I had to turn quickly in these shoes they were putting pressure across the tops of my feet in a diagonal line that hurt even after I took off the shoes. It took me a few wears to figure out where the pain was coming from!

Didn't seem quite as wide as other shoes.

Felt weird in the arch area. I usually use orthotics so I’m used to a lot of arch in a shoe. This just left a weird pressure in the mid foot area. I also found the laces to be a bit difficult to tighten and loosen. Otherwise it’s a nice looking shoe

I bought these only because I couldn't find the old 860v12. Unfortunately, these are snugger than the v12, and less forgiving where I had Taylor's bunion surgery years go. I had to return them.

Do not like the "updated version". The toe bed is narrower and it was definitely 1/2 size too small. I have worn NB 860's for years and have always worn a 9 1/2.

New Balance Fresh Foam X 860v13 in my regular size 9 feel comfortable underfoot, and comfortably hug my feet (which is nice after trying unisex sized shoes formed too big and sloppy). The footbed is not hard and doesn't push my feet in any direction but (but!!) the soles of the shoes are just too big, especially in the back end of the shoes. Maybe this is ideal for runners or workers on their feet all day but I can't get past it. I'm having a terrible time finding low profile shoes in a non-obnoxious colorway that don't look like boats on my feet. Hoping NB brings back Comp 100's style from 2018/2019 suitable for everyday wear.

Size and width were spot on, just too much cushion for running.

I got the previous version of this shoe, the New Balance Fresh Foam X 860v12 because of the large toe box. These New Balance Fresh Foam X 860v13 have a smaller toe box and are slightly shorter. Both are men's size 13D. (Grey v12, Black v13) So I was disappointed.

I ordered the navy color and received a very bright medium blue color in error. The shoes arrived in a plain brown box and must have been mislabeled. I liked the fit and style but not the color I received. These are going back.

The size was fine but the heal was narrow and not enough cushioning. I have a pair of Fresh Foam 840 that are perfect for me. So I think I should stick with that style.

The tongue with the elastic sides make it difficult to slip the foot in. Also Narrow! not really wide.

I agree with others who stated that the color Black with White and Castlerock run very small. I really like how the shoe looks on, and the gray, charcoal, and black coloring. I also like how the shoe hits in just the right part of my ankle, and the arch support to help with pronation. What I don't like is that the black with White and Castlerock color needs at least an 1/8 or 1/4 inch more width in the midsole. I tried the wide size, but it was overly huge. As usual, it appears that only certain colors fit correctly.

The soles burned the bottom of my feel; I had to return them. I bought the navy and white, were I to have kept the model shoe I would have switched the the black and white - they would have looked sharper. The size and width seemed true.

Arch was painful even walking around the house. Length felt short. Shoes were simply uncomfortable.

I could not even get my foot in this shoe. They certainly were NOT true to size. I returned them.

Not suitable for feet with bunions. The first row of laces run across that part of the foot causing tightness and pain on the bunion. I tried to loosen the laces in the area, but it was still too constricted. There was a nice soft give in the sole when walking. If you do not have bunion issues, these would be nice shoes.

Although I ordered extra wide, I could barely get my foot into these. Surprising for NB.
