Have been a big fan of Altras and have previously owned Torin and Lone Peak, but the recent models have been incredibly narrow. This shoe is narrow through the body and toe box. Toes feel squished.

I love Altra shoes, but I recently bought these and they fell apart within a month. The fabric ripped and the grips are falling off. I bought these directly from the company and felt my voice needed heard. Such a shame For reference, I'm a nurse with a desk job and they had little exposure to rough terrain before falling apart. My Provision 7's are holding up nicely!

First off, Altra has saved my feet! I love the fit and comfort of the shoes that I've purchased, BUT I've had issues with the quality of the material on each of them - both the Torin 6 and Olympus 5. This is my third pair of Torin 6 and having the same issue: material on the inner part of the shoe is shearing and the tread on the bottom is coming off (unglued?). And I must add that this pair has never been worn outdoors. I've only worn them to workout in my home. Very disappointing since: 1)Altra shoes are truly the only shoe I've that does not hurt my feet and 2)their high price tag. When I returned the last pair to the running store, they also reported this has been an issue with many of their customers.

I will start off by saying that I did love this product. Best shoe I have ever bought and my 1st experience with Altra. But it did start to tear at the balls of my feet and the tread did start to come off after 6 months of everyday use. So I am disappointed in this product. I will say, I don't keep my shoes clean and I don't tread lightly being careful not to let anything touch them, but I also don't throw them in a volcano and expect them to survive. (Pictures are after 11 months)

I contacted customer service after a month of wearing these shoes as work. I noticed I kept tripping on something and when I looked at the soles there were flaps that were separated from the sole. I sent pictures via email and provided the requested documentation. It was a dead end. No replacement offered even though they were guaranteed for a year. I'm disappointed in this pair of Altra and nervous to buy another pair.

I love the wide toe box and the zero drop. I wear these shoes inside only when training clients. The soles of the shoes are peeling off, they are cheaply made. My husband has the same issue with his.

I walked everyday in these shoes and the heel wore out in a month. After writing a previous review, Altra contacted me and offered a code for a free new pair of my choice. I'd say i'm impressed with the customer service.

I have only had these shoes for about a month, and the inside material of the right shoe has broken down and has a whole in the fabric. The bare spot rubs on my heal and I cannot wear them. Very disappointed.

I love my Lone Peaks. I was looking for a comparable running shoe & purchased the Torin 6 with high hopes. The sole was showing heavy wear after only a few uses (20mi) & the mesh also wore a hole.

Very comfortable; but after just a few months of walking, there are holes in the fabric of the toe and tears where the shoe and sole meet. Very comfortable shoe but falling apart after 3 months.

I bought these shoes at the end of October 2022, but didn't start wearing them until April of this year. I noticed today that the material is separating near the sole on the inside of each shoe.(20June2023) I do like the shoe, but obviously not made to last or poor quality control.

Have run about 70 miles in the shoes and they are already breaking. The backs have given me blisters and come apart. The sides are ripping, not well made.

I have been running in Altras for many, many years. I've been running in Torins for at least four years. This version is my least favorite. The tongue in the 5 was too long and the edge rubbed my leg raw. That problem is much better in the 6, but now there is some sort of fabric stitched inside the interior of the upper. Everytime I put them on, that fabric folds onto itself and creates a very uncomfortable chafe point along the outside edge of both feet. It is maddening. I've tried taping it down but the tape comes off constantly. It takes me 10 minutes of fooling with it everytime I put them on to get it even bearable. I hope the next version of Torin fixes this, as they have been a favorite of mine until now. I can't recommend this version.

The toe box does not seems as wide as the Torin 5. My outside toes became numb while running in these. I switched to Altra for the toe box and the tendency for my toes to become numb if scrunched together.

This is my 4th pair of Altras and I'm so disappointed in these. Within 3 months if just gym use, minimal outdoor, they are tearing and the bottom is peeling. I have only had them for 6 months and they look awful!

This is my replacement pair of Torin 6s after the first pair's upper ripped less than 100 miles in. Same thing again. Very disappointed in its longevity.

I have worn Altra shoes for years and loved them. However, the redesigned back of the shoe has injured my Achilles due to rubbing. The heel comes up too high and rubs. I won't buy again if not changes.

I love Altra shoes.Or maybe I should say that I love the Altra shoes of the past that I am still wearing: Escalante 1.5, Torin 4, Provision 5. The heel and tongue of this Torin 6 was very uncomfortable on my feet, and even though the wide toe box and cushioning were awesome, and it was a great deal on special sale, I had to return them.

I love how these shoes fit, but the quality is abysmal. The tread started separating from the shoe within a couple months. The same thing happened to my husband's shoes, in exactly the same place. The fabric where the upper connects to the sole has sort of cracked along the sides of the toe box as well. I have not abused these shoes in any way- I just walk in them. I've had other brands lose cushion, but otherwise stay intact for years. These are ready for the dumpster in less than 5 months. So disappointing.

The tongue cut into my ankles and the padding on the inside of the heel rubbed against my ankle causing irritation and pain with every step. I'm so sad! If these issues were fixed, would be perfect!

I absolutely loved my Torin 4.5s. Just recently purchased the Torin 6 and it pales in comparison...the tongue, as other users have said, is horrible - uncomfortable, digs into skin, and slides down into shoe easily. Also I really don't like how they widened the sole so much (there is bulkier material around the outside of the sole that makes the base of the shoe feel very clunky compared to the 4.5). Wish I could take the 6s back for refund but of course I wore them outside to try them out so can't get my money back. Trying to wear them for lower intensity activities to at least get some use out of them, but even for that they just are not comfortable. Really hoping Altra fixes these issues with the next version...for now I am stuck, don't know what shoe to try (what shoe will measure up to the Torin 4.5).

I have been wearing Torin 5 for the last two years and have been very happy, outside of needing to size up because of the tongue rubbing - but that's another issue. Was so excited to try the next version, Torin 6. Wore them for the first time on a 10 mile run, and they gave me a blister at the end of my big toe. In the Torin 5 the toe box extends over the bottom of the shoe, and this one tapers and has waaaaaay less room. So disappointed to find this out the hard way and bummed that I wasted $150+.

I should have listened to all the other reviews. The tongue slips down towards the toes. I have to stop often during my runs to pull the tongue up and retighten the laces. I bought better laces but that doesn't help the tongue from slipping down
