I've always worn the Speedcross 3 cs in a women's size 8 ( I normally wear a shoe size of women's 7) but for the Speedcross 6, the 8 was huge so I actually fit true to size a 7 ( women's) I like the Speedcross 6 - it's lightweight but I find the toe fits wider and doesn't feel as smooth when walking - kind of has a clown shoe feel to the toe bed- - sorry hard to explain - I love the colors but I definitely feel like quality of how the shoe is now made has gone down since the older 3's . The 3's lasted a long time and went through mud, water, washing and still looked and felt new and were extremely durable - this newer shoe doesn't have that kind of feel to it - even a Speedcross 3 I bought this year ( a newer made one) had a defect straight out of the box - shows me quality control is not like it used to be back in 2013 when I originally got the 3 - those shoes are still going strong

I just ordered my third pair of Speedcross trail runners. This pair fits much larger than my other two. They are much wider and the fit is very different. Unfortunately, they have to be returned. Very disappointing that there is no consistency in sizing.

This rendition of the speedcross is wider and less supportive than the speedcross 5. I have a worn out pair of the 5 and when I put on the new 6, it felt even more worn out and loose than the old ones. It's do challenging to find a good fit an so difficult when companies change them so frequently.

I have loved the Speedcross since 4th rendition. I was absolutely in love with the fit of the 5s. In the past, I have been able to take them straight from box, to running a trail half in them. I recently purchased the 6th rendition, as my older pairs were wearing out. Upon trying them on, I immediately felt a difference. Less cushion and my heel was shifting more; feels as though the heel cup has been adjusted in this never version. I appreciate that they might fit others better, but if you found the earlier versions good/you have a narrow heel, buyer beware!! Pretty bummed cause I think I'll have to find another shoe that fits better than the OG Speedcrosses.

I wanted to love the new version of the speed crosses, but they made them too wide and changed the fabric to be less structured. My foot slips around too much, can't run mountains with that type of movement in my shoe. Tried a half size down but were still too wide.

I absolutely love the fit of these shoes. I bought three pairs of the regular width Gortex Speedcross 6 this year and then saw they had a wide version (not gortex). I can say that the tread on these shoes only lasted 5 uses before completely wearing out. The Gortex version of these shoes seem to be more durable by far as they still have their tread and have gotten a lot more wear. Solomon needs to make a Speedcross 6 Gortex in wide for women like they do for the men. I don't understand why they don't have it available now. Please also stop making our shoes baby blue, light purple and pink. I, like many other women, love wearing black, red, and navy colours that seem to mostly be available only for men (with exception of black). I train for ultra running in the mountains.

I'm a longtime Speedcross fan, they have been "my shoe" for years now and I go through 2-3 pair a year (they are not very durable, but worth it for the grip). The Speedcross 5 were my favourite! However, the 6's have a completely different and way less comfortable fit. The heel doesn't lock as well and the tongue digs into the top of my foot, incredibly uncomfortable. It seems they reduced the depth of the upper which causes the pinching at the tongue and heel not being as well supported. I have talked to others who have the exact same complaints. Salomon, bring back the fit of the legendary 5's!

I have been a big fan of the Speedcross 5 so I thought I would be for the Speedcross 6 too. Afraid not. The fit is completely different. I loved the look, feel and support the 5. Could put them on brand new and go for a hike. I used them for hiking and also as my every day sneakers. I lived in them! The 6 is too wide with too much "fabric" on top that all scrunches up. Not the same fit or support. Also the color options are way less appealing to me. I had to return them. Not sure what I will use instead. Please bring back the 5!

I bought these a month ago for a trail running and hiking trip. I was not impressed with the materials and how they held up on the trails. These shoes are not water resistant at all and my feet got soaked on a day that it rained and the shoes took a pretty long time to dry out. The outer lining started to pull away from the shoes after a few wears. I have had 3 pairs of Salomon trail running shoes before and loved them all which is why I was so disappointed about these. Sad to say I can't recommend.

The sizing is large , the fit is different from my other 5 pairs of speedcross shoes. I hope to find a replacement. It's the only workout shoe brand that i buy.

I have been wearing this shoe for more than 15 years, through many minor changes to the design. The latest version, #6, is a big miss for me. The upper fabric is now stiff & less breathable. The tongue of the shoe is bulky & too long, which creates weird seems & pressure points on the top of the foot. I miss the older versions & now need to find a new favorite shoe.

I've been wearing the Speedcross for years. I have narrow feet and have always loved the fit. The Speedcross 6 runs much wider than the previous versions, I'm very disappointed! No matter how tight I cinch the laces, the toe box is too wide & my foot slides. Hope the next version will be a return to the old fit.

I was so happy to see Speedcross Womens wide in a color other than navy blue (not a popular color in the Rockies). The Speedcross used to be the best trail shoe out there, but it's continuing its decline from version 3. As usual, after only 3 months of wear, the treads are worn down to nothing in certain areas making the shoe no longer stable. The upper material is very thin so that it wrinkles when I snug the shoe up. Worse though is that I used to be able to wear my Speedcross in the winter but these are much to cold due to the thin upper. Support is minimal. I'm so sorry I have to find another brand that's more stable and rugged for actual trail running.

Initially bought these for softball as an alternative to cleats and they far exceeded my expectations. They are so comfortable, grippy on grass and the infield and light. Also use them for running and hiking also, they're fantastic.

I've been using Salomon Speedcross since its 2nd version - more than a decade. We are on the 6th now. What a downgrade on Salomon's part! Not just in the shoe fabric. The fit is HORRIBLE; wide, wide, wide! Too wide! The 6th edition, supposedly made for normal feet, is way too wide - my feet float in these shoes uncomfortably, which is a dangerous fit for running. I tightened the laces to adjust the fit - the fabric crinkles on top of the shoe (see pic), I get blisters. I compared these with Speedcross 3, which I still have. Speedcross 3 fit so well. Speedcross 6 - wide, not suitable for normal feet. What a terrible downgrade on Salomon's part. I used to love these shoes. (It makes me wonder how wide are their wide shoes nowadays). I went through many of these Speedcross shoes (easily 4 pairs/year) - it didn't bother me they wore off fast; I care about my feet (proper fit and comfort). After using Salomon's Speedcross for more than a decade now, I started checking other brands/makers - these are no longer for my feet. Too wide.

I have loved the speed cross series trail running shoe over the years. I purchase 1-2 pairs each year. Unfortunately, this year's version is drastically different. It is way way less padded and has a wider toe box. The lacing system and the generous padding made this an extremely comfortable shoe but no more. I have returned it and am now ordering up as many 5 versions as I can to last me a few more years. WHY CHANGE THE PADDING SO DRAMATICALLY? I hope you consider going back to the high quality version.

Very disappointed! I have speedcross 3 and love them. Size 8.5. After having two kids my foot size increased by 1/2 size. I got a speedcross 5 size 9 and love them! I immediately ordered another pair same size and they were huge. I returned them. Recently I decided to try again. I got speedcross 6 size 8.5 and 9. Size 8.5 are too narrow and 9 are too long. Solution should be 8.5 wide. However, I got 8.5 wide and they are huge! They fit like the big 9s or a 9.5. I removed the tags when I got them as why shouldn't they fit?! But they don't. I haven't worn them and can't wear them. Would love to be able to return them and maybe try 8 wide? I just don't get it.
