Really comfortable and grip super. very light and comfortable. Perfect, but lacing is an issue - why is it so complicated ? Comes loose at times and it shouldn't. Annoying to have to stop periodically.

I run/hike the volcanic ridges of Oahu,Hi which is to say that each outing my terrain contains razor sharp rock, slick volcanic pumice and mud with a frictional coefficient equivalent to ice. I am on my 3rd pair of Speed Cross 6 shoes. I do about 12 miles a week with 6k vertical. The shoes last me about 16 weeks. Approximately 200 miles with 100k vertical on extremely rugged terrain. I consider these shoes as vital equipment and don't mind spending .75$/mile. They cushion and support on the hard loose terrain, throw mud like a 2 stage snow machine and grip like a Boa Constrictor on the volcanic pumice. I have caveman feet and thus order the wide width which a merino wool sock.

Love these shoes. A pair that I have had (Speedcross 5) become too worn out to wear after 5-6 years.

The Shoe fits great and looks great. My reason for a Three star rating is for the lack of Breathability. An absolute nightmare. I wore these twice for about 8 hours at a time just walking around and standing at work and my feet started sweating almost immediately. Id like Salomon to make the Same Silhouette and Sole Tech but use breathable mesh. Simply put if you live in a hot climate these arent the shoe for you

I have had the shoes for a couple of months now. I can not tell any difference between the 5&6 other than some grapics. Performance wise they are identical & that is not a bad thing, love both get the one that you find with the best price no worries unless you like cool graphics then get the 6 cheers. If I had to complain about something in would be the tread. the tread wears out long before the shoe is done. cheers

ive been using this shoe as a training shoe for the last year. its has held up great. the front chevrons are getting worn but i do a lot of steep trail running. My only complaint is that this shoe is bad at draining water. I ran a spartan race with these and because of the top of the shoe being one piece the water would not drain. I had to stop and push the water out of my shoes. I ended up cutting slits in the top of the shoe so the water would drain out of them. I wish you all still made the super cross shoes. those have by far been the best and still going strong through 4 years of Spartan races.

Comfortable, good fit. Sole is very soft and provides great traction. Unfortunately soft rubber also wears out very quickly, so traction disappears.

I had my first ran on these shoes. It was great to beginning of the ran, and there was a big BUT Let me start by saying that these shoes are comfortable and the end sole are grippy, and thats about what I like about these shoes. When I got to the gravel part of the trail, I can feel the gravel on my mid foot. Although I managed to get to the top of the trail, on the way down when I felt the discomfort To some up I went home with the Blister on the bottom of my right foot, I guess they call it The Ball of the Foot The discomfort happened in about 3 miles before end of my ran, so pretty much Im running through the pain

I have been a Solomon customer and advocate for years. NOT ANYMORE. When I received these shoes they were damaged. I contacted Solomon and I was told this is "manufacturing issue" and offered 10% of my purchase or 20% off my next purchase. I was also told "this is a very rare occasion". This is unacceptable for a new product and terrible customer service. After many phone calls and emails I finally received a return label for the damaged shoes and was offered 20% off my next order. The issue could have been solved with one call or email. If this was a very rare occasion I would hate to see how a regular customer was treated that had an issuewith a product. Solomon needs to work on the quality control and manufacturing of the products it produces. These use to be high quality shoes and outdoor gear. NOT ANYMORE

My foot measures 12 1/2 D and everything fits different. I have to buy wide in a lot of footwear. Ordered these in 13 wide and they are perfect for me. Super light and great traction. I wear them casually as well and get compliments on my "nice shoes". Glad I took a chance on fit as this was my first pair of Salomon's but probably not my last. Salomon but not the last.

Loved my SC5, had 2 of them that I wore out. They fit like a glove and were super comfortable over rough terrain. SC6 feels much wider in the forefoot, even with the laces pulled tight.

I always use Salomon trails shoes since 8 years. I bought all version of speed cross And the last one was speed cross 6. After 2 months of running , part of the rubber sole has worn out very fast compare to speed cross 4 that I kept over 1 year. The quality has been changed and is too soft. I am disappointed and I will not buy speed cross any more

Id say the best trail running/ hiking shoe ever. Ive tried other brands but these have always been my go to. The grip and cushioning on rocks a dirt is amazing. I wont be using any other shoes for my hiking ever again.

I can't say enough good about the Solomon SC platform, which I have trusted as my primary shoe for 15 plus years. The speed cross six are not exception to the incremental and thoughtful improvements made with each successive model. Unfortunately for me the price is increased significantly with the popularity of trail running and the Solomon product, but in my opinion there is no need to try another shoe because these are essentially the best that current technology offers. The shoe is well cushioned and protective, yet highly responsive, I run pretty hard and get roughly 300 to 500 mi on the shoe before any breakdown in cushioning. Traction, fit, durability are incredible. There is no comparison between the durability of an SC shoe and a brand like Nike, Asics, Adidas, etc. for a true trail runner. These are a true Neutral shoe, great wear for a softer rubber compound shoe that hooks up in any condition of trail.
