At 65 /250lbs I find most reviews for gear are not valid because they are written by reviewers or shorter and lighter. I would classify myself as a hiker and trail jogger. I wear these shoes around the house, to the store, and on daily 1 to 3 mile trips around the lake in varied terrain and conditions including gravel, dirt trails and mixed. They are very light, very comfortable, great traction, and give a feel for whats under your foot. They dont collect mud or gravel in the soles. And for a big person, the cushioning in the soles hold up, which is not the case with some other shoes that have gaps through the cushioning that compress and wont return to their normal shape after three weeks of use.

i would say these are by far the best trail shoes i have ever used. with that being said they have there place to be used i wouldnt recommend using these on and type of trail thats paved or a hard packed trail no need also be very careful if the trail your on has wood these are very slippery on wet wood. very good for mud and soft dirt hill climbing.

I bought these having had and worn out a pair of Speedcross 4s and Speedcross 5s. Whilst the uppers feel thin, they are quite tough and they have toe protection. The uppers didn't split as they had previously. The main problem for me was that the heel cup padding on both shoes split. This compromised the heel support and caused my Plantar pain to flare up. I'm also not a fan of the speed laces, I always have to replace them mid season and it's a real pain to do. Despite all this I will definitely buy the Speedcross 7s when they come out as long as you keep the drop at 10mm, they are in my experience without parallel grip wise in the winter. Just don't scrimp on materials. I'd rather pay more for a shoe that lasts.

I bought these specifically for a 15K trail run that was very rocky with a lot of elevation. Unfortunately I was unable to break in the shoes, only trying them on the night before the race. No problems whatsoever! They handled terrain without a hiccup! Recommend highly!

Bought these as a Father's Day gift for my husband. My kids wanted to replace his first pair that he had completely worn out. These are super lightweight and very comfortable. He uses them almost every day. Has received compliments on color and style.

When I started trail running Speedcross were my go to then my feet changed (wider) and they were narrow so had to switch. Was a bit apprehensive when I saw the Speedcross wide come out but when I finally bought them I did a 16k WU then ran 80k trail with 3300m gain and no issues - fit well no blisters really good traction especially in mud and wet terrain nothing better for me

I bought these to replace a pair of SPEEDCROSS 5 that I wear when hiking on the desert trails in metro Phoenix, Arizona. The trails have a lot of rock and loose gravel, so the soles eventually wear down after about a year.
I broke this pair in on a recent vacation to Europe, where they because my daily all-purpose shoe. Very comfortable, the body feels lighter than the SPEEDCROSS 5, but the support is similar. Love the yellow color - admittedly, I picked yellow because it was the cheapest, but I've grown to love the fact they they're not bland black/grey.

Love these shoes. Light and comfortable. Bought them mostly to just kick around in. Havent hiked in them yet but they feel great on my feet. The shoelaces are awesome. You never have to tie or adjust them. Reasonable price. Will definitely buy again

I have been a fan of the speed cross since 3. I don't know, there's something off about the toe box with 6. It's kind of bigger than I'm used to. The shoe seems overall wider. When I cinch down the laces, the shoes crease in several places which is not been the case and previous iterations. Still a great shoe and will always be my go-to, but something's not quite right with it for me.

Ive heard about the Speedcross shoes for over a year and finally decided to get a pair. I wish I would have gotten them sooner! When I walk around in them it feels like Im walking on pillows. Extremely comfortable. I did order a pair of the regular width but they were too tight (and I didnt think my feet were wide). The wide are just perfect. Order a pair today. You wont regret it.

Comparing the Speedcross Wide with the regular version I appreciate the extra room for my forefoot. It feels more comfortable but not loose. The quick lace system locks your feet up well enough to keep the heel in place.
Also, the sole has an excellent grip on muddy or loose terrain, even on rocks and roots. It works very well in general except on wet wood boards

I wore these 3 times and the bottoms were falling off of them. Theyre comfortable but not made well. I wouldn't recommend these if you are looking for durable foot wear.

This is my third pair of the Speedcross but the first time I purchased the wide sizing. It makes a difference in the toe box as the regular size has given me blisters on my toes a couple of times but this pair has not after approximately 100 miles of hiking. The upper on these shoes holds up very well, especially in comparison to the Altras and Topos Ive hiked in before. The tread smooths out after 500 miles or so. The speed laces are unbreakable in my experience. Ive owned these shoes in black and in gray. The colors are hohum but the shoes are great. My first two pairs are still used for yard work and casual wear even though the tread is too far gone for hiking.
YMMV,

I really don't understand. The reviews for these are so awesome and I was super excited to get my pair today. Unfortunately the fit was very very awkward.
I wear size 9's no problem and got 9 wides since I read these run a bit narrow. These shoes are quite a bit longer than any of my other size 9 shoes and my toes are pretty far from the tip. I'd try to size down but these shoes are actually incredibly tight all around. I even got 9EE wide! Lastly, the inside edge of the shoe is very hard and comes up high so that it bumps against the inside of my ankle. I'm not a picky shoe person at all, but quite honestly these are probably the least comfortable shoes I've ever had. Shocked no one else seems to have my issues =(

This is my third pair of SpeedCross 6's and I absolutely adore them.
They are fantastic for traveling and have worn this version hiking through Ecuador and Tbilisi to the streets of Berlin, Frankfurt etc.
They're comfortable, lightweight, easily cleanable and just an all-around good looking and wearing shoe.
