Salomon is my very favorite shoe. However, the Cross Hike2 boots do not have an even fit. The right fits good, except a bit wide. (My feet are narrow). The left is just a tad short, and crowds my big toe. I ordered a size 6 which would fit good except for the left. Also, a bit too wide. I've been wearing them regularly, and think they will break in and be comfortable. Right now they are pretty stiff. I have owned 2 other pairs of Salomons. Loved them. The first pair were boots that I wore when I went snowshoeing. Those boots were probably 20 years old, and finally just wore out.

I love the look and feel of these hikers. They are lightweight but seem durable. They do run a bit big, bought the same size as my salomon trail shoes and there is way more room in these. So far they haven't caused any issues though.

Perfect boot for me:) Boot is supportive yet lightweight. I hiked rainy, wet, muddy terrain in September, Zion Utah. Feet stayed nice n dry. Wear heavy or lightweight socks according to weather and feet stay happy. The look and style is spot on as well as the comfort. Ordered feather, gray/olive night. Complaint, my boots arrived stained. I did not pack them on my first hiking trip to Palm Springs because I had intentions to return them. I didnt want to go through the hassle, so I packed them on my next trip to Zion. I had fun dirtying them up real good so now you cant see the stain. Ill be packing theses boots on my next trip, Israel, 2023.

I bought this for my wife and she's pretty happy. It took too long for delivery.

Like: the look, the grip and tread pattern, it is lightweight, the sleek look, has great traction! Love how it's water proof.
Overall, it is a great shoe and the only cons are that the foot bed is not as comfy as the shoe is not as wide as I thought it would be, even though I purchased a wide size.

Comfortable right away, not heavy, excellent traction, very easy to walk in. Still working to master the tightening mechanism. However, the top of the shoe gaps and won't come together, allowing dirt to enter. If it came up a bit higher it would probably be okay.

Excellent on muddy trails without elevation. Throw some elevation with wet rock, shoes hold no traction. Less confidence in latter terrain.

Great looking shoes, comfortsble, and arrived earlier than expected. Have only walked around the house so far. Shoes run a size too big so I had to return and order a small size.

Love my Salomon hikers and decided the high top version would be best after a couple ankle rolls. They are great. I do have pressure points (no blisters) on the ankles but I hope they will give. Did a 10km technical hike with them right out of the box. Hiking will always mean Salomon for me!

Wore these to Iceland during the rainy season (pro tip thats all the time) and they kept me warm and dry and comfy in every kind of condition. Comfortable from day one for walking around the city in rainy weather but also felt great and stable and had good traction on trails. I have slimmer feet and loved the ability to cinch the laces using the all in one drawstring toggle lacing system.

2 weeks plus trekking Mount Everest Base Camp and the three passes with no issues whatsoever, ice, rain, and snow - no problem . Twice my hiking were noticed by the traction and stability. My new favorite hiking shoes. Sorry, I couldnt upload pics.

My feet usually dont hurt easily but these shoes make my feet hurt so much all the time. The shoe lace is also rly awkwardly designed. Similar to snowboarding boots but the string is too long and excessive string has no where to go. Wont buy from this brand again.

I have worn these boots twice. I was SUPER excited to try these as I previously had the Salomon OUTline mid GTX. Although I had both pairs in the same size. I found that the Cross Hike 2 had a more narrow insole and smaller toe box. The boots are also marketed as made for mixed and technical terrain. However, the outsole at the tip of the toe box is already peeling off. Do they still work? Yes, but considering Ive only worn them twiceI dont think theyre durable.

These boots have set a new standard for the type of hiking boots I like. I do a lot of hiking in New mexico, where the terrain is very rocky and shreds the outsole of my boots pretty quickly. I take these boots out hiking once or twice a week. I was able to tests it's limits (twice) on a very challenging and technical hike that is local here, they did not let me down once!! This is a big deal for me because I typically find myself slipping on the scree; however, it maintained traction, I didn't slip on the rocks. And any scrambling or bouldering was achieved without slipping.
I will definitely be buying more of these boots!

These boots fit well and are comfortable! I need to refer back to more info about the quick laces to get a better fit for longer hikes and I think I need to allow for more break-in time. The grip on these is phenomenal!

I dont normally write reviews but I love how the design of these hide the laces because I have tripped on many laces before! The tread is great and Ive enjoyed these for both desert and mountain hiking(:

Ive always been more into boots when hiking, for the ankle support, but they are very heavy.
I like these because they are light like a trail runner but still provide ample ankle support.

These boots have a rugged tread for grip and are really warm without sacrificing weight. I love the feeling of them underfoot. They are pretty roomy so I use thicker socks with them. Ive tested them on snow, ice, and mud. They perform well with all terrain types!

Felt like they ran a little small. I've worn Salomons for years and this was the first time I ran into this issue. Also, the brown looked way better on the computer than in real life.

Not to sure about these? There is zero cushion with the insloe and no arch support. For a wide the toe bed is pretty narrow so my big toes rub on the side. The material is more pliable so on my right foot the material dips in by my arch and rubs it uncontrollably when on. I'm afraid on a long hike it will blister. For the price I thought they would be more comfortable out of the box. The tread seems pretty good for some muddy Hawaii trails. I am going to keep them in hopes they'll break in more and get more comfortable.

I seriously wore these right out of the box and on the trail and they were amazing! I usually never need to break in a pair of Salomons and these were perfect as well. Lots of stretch but great for keeping out the snow and wet terrain which I loved. Loved the ankle support.

I love the design of this hiking shoe! I have the first Cross Hike version and Id say, in comparison, this one is a more narrow and true to size. Some other Salomon shoes run a bit bigger. You will not need any time to break these in, and you can take them on any terrain. Highly recommend!!
