A great combination of a lightweight and flexible shoe with higher ankle support and cushion to make every hike more enjoyable. I do get a bit frustrated that the lacing system essentially loosens after increased use, I can't figure out the best way to maintain appropriate tension. Otherwise a great shoe! Fits true to size.

These boots have set a new standard for the type of hiking boots I like. I do a lot of hiking in New mexico, where the terrain is very rocky and shreds the outsole of my boots pretty quickly. I take these boots out hiking once or twice a week. I was able to tests it's limits (twice) on a very challenging and technical hike that is local here, they did not let me down once!! This is a big deal for me because I typically find myself slipping on the scree; however, it maintained traction, I didn't slip on the rocks. And any scrambling or bouldering was achieved without slipping. I will definitely be buying more of these boots!

I've always been more into boots when hiking, for the ankle support, but they are very heavy. I like these because they are light like a trail runner but still provide ample ankle support.

This boots are very well made and very light but the lacing system lets them down. No matter how you tighten it, all the lace tension settles in the single point (transition from textile lace loops to metal loops) over the ankle. Apart from it being a single pressure point, lace is so fine it really digs in. I found I had to choose between comfort in a loose boot or supported fit with a painfully tight lace at the above point. I feel it could do with added padding there of different lace.

I have worn these boots twice. I was SUPER excited to try these as I previously had the Salomon OUTline mid GTX. Although I had both pairs in the same size. I found that the Cross Hike 2 had a more narrow insole and smaller toe box. The boots are also marketed as made for mixed and technical terrain. However, the outsole at the tip of the toe box is already peeling off. Do they still work? Yes, but considering I've only worn them twiceI don't think they're durable.

I bought this boot specifically for town walking in snowy and icy conditions and I definitely add the right choice. It's lightweight and comfortable and the grips on the bottom make walking safe. Love them!!

I bought this a month ago. I usually wear 8 and the size 8 is perfect size.

I've only worn the boot a couple of times so far, but so far, so good. Very comfortable, good grip, and my feet stayed dry in wet conditions.

My wife loves these shoes. They were tiny bit snug when she first put them on, but they have formed to fit her feet perfectly she wears them all the time.

These are awesome hiking boots. I only buy Solomon for years. These are a great mix of their trail running shoes and their more rugged hiking boot. Great traction, awesome fit, ankle support. Whenever I have a new pair of hiking shoes or boots from Solomon I try them and first time hands down a winner. Thank you Solomon!

It's a very comfortable shoe and looks amazing. I tried it on a difficult hiking having slippery rocks and muddy trails and it did not disappoint me at all. The support around ankle is a must have for hiking! I usually wear 8 from other brands but had to size down to 7.5 for these.

Great all around boot. Comfortable & lightweight. Even the light colour enjoy the mud!

I have only used them once but loved every minute of it. I am new to hiking and bought these based on reviews. I got many compliments on the look. I couldn't be happier with how they felt. I did not break them in before going on a 3 mile hike and had no issues. No weird rubbing or toe issues. I typically wear a size 8, purchased a size 8 and had no sliding but felt like I had room to wear 2 pair of socks if I desired. Super happy and can't wait to wear them again!

Very comfortable, lightweight and good quality. Very pleasing design and sole has great grip. I did return a pair and purchased a half size bigger to give me more toe room and so it wouldn't be as snug with socks on.

I wasn't sure I'd like the color, but it was on sale. It is a great color in person and stays much cleaner than you'd think. Still needs the regular maintenance, but not looking grungy at all after beach, mud, forest floor and grass terrains in rural Oregon. Not to mention how comfortable it is for daily hikes with the pooch and keeps my feet dry and secure. Love this shoe!

Hiked the Grand Canyon for days and my feet were never sore

This shoes are very soft and comfortable. Also lightweight. Overall great shoes and recommend. Just one note is they would be too warm for hot summer.

The sizing is adequate, nice coverture for the ankles. They are warm and waterproof (tested). Ideal for trekkings of 10-25 Km and I would recommend them even for winter.

True to size and a comfortable fit, I've found these sturdy and stylish at the same time. Go well with either thin or thick socks. I have a narrow foot and need a high top and these accommodate that well.

I always pick my Salomon's first because of the quicklace, gets me out of the door quickly. looking forward to using these over the winter, then for next summer's hikes

I love these boots, feels like a runner, light and comfortable. True to size, I would highly recommend these boots for backpacking or day hiking.
