I use these to referee soccer - they're great for all types of grass, turf, and mud and give me excellent stability on any surface. The gore-tex tech is also great and keep my feet dry even in heavy downpour games.
I purchased my first pair of the Speedcross 5's last year and used them for over 200 games without any issues. Due to normal wear and tear I purchased a pair of these 6's this year to replace them. After a few games I started to notice my feet and back getting sore during games, and the insoles started to peel off and curl up around my toes from constant hard stops and quick changes of direction. As a result, I had to buy some aftermarket insoles which have solved both issues and return to the quality I was getting with my 5's.
So all-in-all it's still a good shoe, but I feel like something changed, requiring me to replace the in-soles to continue getting the full quality out of this shoe.

Super sticky tread, nice padding, very light, but at least a 1/2 size smaller than claimed. Ordered a 10.5 and my foot was cramped in the shoe, no extra space like in other shoes, and I wasn't even wearing a thick sock

The problem with these shoes is that they are too narrow in the mid-foot area. I always find D width and size 11.5 comfortable. In this shoe, the length was fine, but the width hurt my feet.

Great shoes until the front of them started peeling away! Haven't even had them for two months yet and they are falling apart

Shoe started ripping at tongue and toe by the end of the first 3 weeks. Also wearing them on the street as it became my number one shoes the soul wore out within a month and a half so you cannot wear these shoes on concrete if you expect them to last at all. I would give the shoe a five if it wasn't for the thin material used around the toe and tongue that caused it to rip and the fact that the soul of the shoe wears out so fast.

This pair of shoes puts side pressure on my toes. I'm going to see if it will get better after I wear them for a while. I also don't like the ghost writing on the shoes. I wear these as part of a uniform a need black shoes.

Returned these due to the rubber cap over the toes being too stiff and it pressing down on toes. I am also disappointed in quality. I absolutely love my Speedcross 5 GTX; however, I feel like quality both in materials and workmanship has diminished.

I expected these to fit like my previous Salomon trail running shoes. Instead there was not enough height in the toe box. Returned.

I like to hike on the ascent and trailrun on the descent, and these are perfect for that. I wish they were waterproof all around (the sides have little triangles of cloth that let water in) but the fit, feel, grip and all is just perfect. Will buy again and again.

I'm deeply disappointed with Salomon's warranty policy, especially considering this is my second pair of Salomon shoes with some issues. While the issue is different this time, the overall quality concern remains significant. Salomon's refusal to extend the warranty from the original purchase date is frustrating and indicative of a lack of commitment to product durability. As a loyal customer, I expect better support and accountability. This experience has significantly impacted my trust in the brand's quality standards.

Purchased to use in wet Fall weather. They have performed as desired. My feet are now dry and warm. So I can keep going longer without the discomfort, concern and distraction of cold wet feet.

I originally had the XA PRO 3D, which wore out too quickly, in terms of the Gore Tex water proofing & sole rubber). Salomon agreed to replace (which is great customer service) and I purchased the SPEEDCROSS 5 GORE-TEX (predecessor model to the new Spreedcross 6 Gore-Tex).
Unfortunately this shoes has also worn out now after 1yr & 4months. I don't do a lot of running, I have separate summer running shoes, and I also don't scrap my feet along the ground when I walk. Therefore I am surprised they have worn out so quickly.
They are light, and fit well, but I can't afford to replace shoes so often.

I've bought this shoe for several iterations and just can't support going for the new model. Every year we're promised great upgrades vs previous models, and while there is some noticeable differences (like tread life span), there is still a very short lifespan on these shoes. After tread wears down, you are likely to have foot/arch issues. The price point is simply too high to keep buying every 200-300 miles.

I bought a pair of these and can tell you that "standard" fit is misleading. I'd say "slim" is more accurate. I am returning them since I can tell these would be too uncomfortable to even consider using.

I love these shoes and I have them in 3 different colors. They are all marked size 11...but each size fits differently. One is perfect, one is a little big and one is too small? I would say the sizing is inconsistent.

First wear was a 5k jog, no issues, a little rigid but the fit was good. 2nd wear was a short 22 mile hike in the White Mountains, wet trails, super easy hike. By the end of the hike, the insoles were completely destroyed and wadded up, definitely can't use them again. And my big toes were a little sore. Flash forward a week, both big toes are dark black and swollen, toenails falling off. I would post pictures but no one wants to see that on a shoe review. I've never ever had issues with runners toe and now I have a severe case. I do not recommend these shoes at all unless you want to ruin your training season and be confined to a chair and crocs.
