Strange footbed - not at all regular merral foot bed

I purchased these boots with the purpose of having an easy to slip on boot at the door. They were not easy to slip on. They are narrow and not at all what I had hoped for. They were returned.

Wow. Wish I had read the reviews. I needed a pair of flexible snow shoes for walking in the city. The soles are good, but what happened Merrell? It seems like your designers have forgotten that women need shoes that are actually functional. Like I said, I needed shoes, so I won't be returning them. I am going to alter them so that they usable and meet my needs. I'll post my hack when I succeed. But again, seriously... It should at least say "unadjustable" somewhere in the ad. I used to trust your products. No longer.

I bought a pair of these boots three weeks ago and I loved the fit but they cannot be tightened by the lace or cord because of a factory defect. The cord will not slip through the loop that tightened it, Either it has been sewn or glued shut. I ordered a second pair when those were returned. Same thing! I looked at the reviews and all the four and five reviews received the boot as it should be. The ones and twos had the same problem I had. Today I received and sent the second pair back. I don't think I will ever buy another pair of Merrill shoes or boots on line. I used to really like this brand. But there seems to be no quality control any more.

These are not comfortable. Also are really wide on the ankle so it's not flattering. I expected them to be better so I am disappointed.

I ordered these boots not long ago. The adjustable elastic they have is all stitched down so you cannot tighten these boots over your foot. After deciding to send them back realized I couldn't as I didn't have the plastic they came wrapped in so I am stuck with this useless pair of boots. Not impressed at all. They are warm but if you can't tighten them around your foot it's not a comfortable boot

These looked super cute in the photos and i saw some bad reviews and decided to see for myself. They fit fine, and im in between 8.5/9 (i got the 9)... but as other reviews said, the cording does NOT connect. Like at all. Each section of the shoe is separate pieces of cording. Its the weirdest system ive ever seen lol the only way to tighten them is the back heal (which is NOT connected to the rest of the shoe as it appears) so that leaves the top of the shoe baggy and loose and awkward, they looked like moon shoes haha. Super disappointed they were comfortable though!

The sole was not as comfortable and supportive as expected. You also can't actually tighten the lacing as it's sewn onto the fabric. I returned mine.

The fit of these boots is totally loose. The only way to tighten the boot on your foot is a clasp around the ankle in the back. It appears the lace "should" tighten the boot on your foot but it is sewed down so it can't be tighten. Your foot moves all over because it's so loose. I did the on line chat to ask if there was an error in the sewing on my boot and they confirmed this was how it was intended and offered zero solutions.

I loved these boots so much, the sneaker like feel and ease to put them on but they are terribly made. You can't tie them! The bungeeis sewn in place. You get the impression you can adjust them to the right tightness for your foot and then you're left terribly disappointed when they almost fit. Hopefully Merrell creates an updated version and takes customer feedback. We love the shoe but make the bungees work!

I have 10 pairs of Merrells, different styles and I love them all, this booties are beautiful and almost perfect, but if the bungees don't work, it's impossible to adjust the shoe to your ankle, I don't see the point! This makes the shoe super uncomfortable, warm though, but uncomfortable :( I'll buy more bungees and try to adjust them because they are warm and I like the colors

Returned because the insole was incredibly uncomfortable.

The bungee cord is sewn in on both sides at the ankles, so forefoot tension is non-adjustable. I had to return these boots as I was not able to adjust the fit to be tighter.
