Love the looks of this shoe and it is very comfortable but unfortunately it is very very hard to get on. I returned them because of it.

Only thing I did not like was you cannot tighten the laces in front. It only pull right along the back of the shoe

The color is not as pictured. They appear to be a shade of white - they are more a taupe. There's also a finger print on the top of the shoe. I think they're going back. Just FYI - I usually wear a 7.5 Wide, purchased a 8 and they fit fine. Never wore then out so don't know how warm or comfortable they are

They're very nice, but I did end up returning them ultimately. Like some other reviews have mentioned, they would have been a much better fit if the elastic cords could tighten. Its like they're sewn into places that they should be able to slide through the loops.. if that makes sense.

I like the shoe for warmth and comfort. It is hard to put them on. A shoe horn helps. They are comfortable but I'm unable to tighten them around the middle of the shoe for support. To me they aren't a shoe for support in snowy weather; otherwise they are OK.

I am in agreement with others about adjusting the laces for a tighter fit. I wore them for snowmobiling and they kept my feet warm. It was comfortable, light weight. But you do need to tell consumers that they are NOT adjustable laces.

Nice to slip on, but not waterproof. The first time I wore these boots I tromped through some snow to test them out, and my feet got wet. Disappointing considering I bought these as winter boots that could handle wet conditions.

I was looking for a good shoe for wet and snowy in town travel. Easy entry and removal is key. The lacing is sewn down. Only a bit at the collar can be released and it is insufficient. Thin, slick socks are needed to wrestle into these. They slip on the heel as the bungee cannot provide tension. It is like this design was never tested before release to production. Disappointing at any price.

The loop at the ankle does not pull all the way through, so I can't tighten the shoes. No really happy with that as they slip up and down.

Comfortable, nice looking, and easy to slip on (my main reason for purchase). But the fact that the cord over the bridge of the foot is stitch-secured in four places to prevent adjustment is a deal killer for me. Merrell is one of my favorites and I've had dozens of pairs of their slip on clogs, flip flops, hiking boots/shoes, and other winter boots over the years. These boots, however, are a functional fail and I'm returning them. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering them instead of blindly trusting a favorite brand.

Very comfortable but the strings broke after 3 days

I love the style, but unfortunately, they are not as comfortable as most of my other Merrels. One boot digs into the side of my foot.

I like this boot, however it was too loose and you cannot tighten them not sure of the idea for that is. I ended up cutting the laces in the front out and getting some 36 inch laces and laced them up normally and then leaving the back lace to tighten that, now I am happy with them and they don't feel like they're going to fall off. Lesson learned.

I am not sure what the deal is but this boot scrapes the back of my heel. I got blisters on my right foot! So I am hoping with different socks will make a difference.

These shoes live up the Merrell name. Durable materials. Easy to slip on/off. Waterproof & Warm. My rating comes from their treads. The very first snowfall I wore them and I was slipping and sliding all over the place, so 1 star was deducted from that. I took away another star as their overall style wasn't what I was hoping for. They had a sort of, puffy moon boot appearance? And I wasn't hoping for something that bulky. Maybe that's where their waterproof/thermal level comes from, but it just wasn't the shoe for me.

Super warm, look really good, extememly comfortable and light also are true to size. I loved them up until one of the straps broke while tightening them and it looked like it was nothing more than glue holding it together. For the price the straps should be a little more sturdy.

Exactly what I was looking for - a lightweight, warm boot that feels like a running shoe - used for every day activities, walks and in and out of the car. However, only 3 stars for the fact that, bizarrely, Merrell choose to stitch down the bungee laces in many spots, so that the laces are for show only and cannot be tightened (except for a small area behind the ankle). My foot is wide-ish so I have no issues with them being loose across the front of my foot, but I would like to tighten the laces across the top and sides of my ankle, and I cannot. Very poor design decision for otherwise such a great boot. Still deciding if I will keep or return.

Why can't you use the laces? They don't tighten. On the forefoot only across the back. such a strange design? Was this a manufacturing error?

The style of this boot is great, I absolutely love them, however they're useless if I can't adjust the laces. There are two spots where the laces are attached to the boot, making it impossible to tighten them.

Super comfortable and snow resistant. Also - has a unique ability to slide on ice or snow. Every step has to be measured, questioned and prayed upon because there is zero traction on ice or snow. When you put your foot out of the car onto the ground, you never know if you will make it out, if you climb stairs with any ice - you could die. These shoes comfortably ruined 11 days in a country of snow and ice. They look good but are worthless except in rain. I can't express how scary it was trying to pull luggage, cross busy intersections or gauge where you might fall. Called the customer care line and was given instructions for returning defective shoes. As a decades lover of Merrell and a closet full of everything made from Merrell, this was the worst experience I have had in my winter travels.

Bungees are only adjustable on the back. It's not possible to get the shoe as tight as I need it. Still a quality product, but that was a huge oversight.

These were so cute and comfy, so I hated to return them. Bad design! If you're offering a shoe lace-less option, you should at least allow for adjustments and tightening over the in-step and ankle front.

They are cute and comfy but you cannot tighten the laces across the front of the shoe which I feel is a major failing. You can tighten the heel bungee lace, but all of the laces across the front of the shoe are sewn down and are basically just for looks. So it really is more of a slipper than a hiking shoe as advertised. I'm going to keep them for trips to the store and stuff like that. but won't be able to use them as I had intended to.

I bought these a couple months ago because they were available in wide width. Didn't take teen out until yesterday with the snow. Very disappointing and dangerousyou can't tighten the lacesI'm going to walk out of them! What were they thinking with this design?

Despite reading reviews of issues with this style, I decided to take my chances and see if this shoe worked for me. I love the style but the design flaw of the laces being sewn down renders this shoe useless. What's the point of laces if you can't adjust them? Secondly, these are VERY narrow. It's really too bad because they're a nice style, great fabric and I love that they're lined. You really do have to have super narrow feet for these to work for you. Not sure why Merrell is making their shoes so much more narrow these days. It would be great if they offered wide (which would really just be regular by their standard) on all styles. Super bummed that I had to return these.
