Got this shoe to go hiking down to Phantom Ranch in the grand canyon next year. I have 3 other pairs of Hoka's and I love them! Mach 5 for standing up at work all day. And the Speedgoat 5 GTX for hiking. They feel great and I love that they are GTX (water proof). There is nothing better than happy feet when hiking. Happy trails. I do normally wear my true size but did go up a half size to accommodate thicker socks and they fit perfect.

Love Hoka Speedgoats. They are comfortable, supportive, look great and have amazing traction on a multitude of surfaces. They look less boxy then some of the other Hoka styles which I really like. I love the Hoka Speedgoats so much that I got a second pair in s different color.

I walk at least 2-4 mi. Every day with my dogs.The shoes are so comfortable!!! I went for my final post op app with my orthopedic/podiatrist yesterday and he was admiring my shoes.He picked them up to get the information off the shoe and asked if I got them locally or one line.He said he would be getting a pair!!

I wear the shoes for walking on trails and on sidewalks.

These are super comfy, sturdy, durable, water resistant and the sole is perfect for hiking our wet clay hiking trails. I just hose off the bottom and wipe the side sole and I'm good to go! Great relief for plantar fasciitis pain.

Use them mainly for trail walking!! Didn't really want all black, but they're ok!!

I have purchased this sneaker before and I do like it, but it does not seem as well made as the first time I purchased. I like it much more than the Speedgoat 6 which I returned.

The shoe toe box is alittle narrow. Wish it was shaped like the Gaviotta. Very comfortable, good heal cushion. How about making a Gaviota 5 GTX? I use them to walk my dog a few miles everyday. The length is true to size. I need the waterproofing!

I work in a warehouse 10hr shift the first day I wore my Hokas Speedgoat the comfort I experienced was good around the 8th hr I did feel some pain but overall a good shoe. Waiting for the Speedgoar 6 GTX. Bought the wide width.

I have returned them because they feel uncomfortable for the anterior part of my feet.

I've tried my new Speedgoat 5 GTX shoes on two hikes, and they seem to work as good as my previous pair. I ordered online from HOKA since the color selection is better than in retail stores. The shoe tongue is a little smaller, but the shoe still seems to work well. The shoe is still light-weight. I crossed several streams, and the Gortex kept my feet warm and dry. Overall, a great shoe.

I have bone spurs on one foot. Some days im walking 12-15 miles for my job. Usually my foot is killing me and will be swollen by the end of the day. I dont know what they do differently in shoe making but im walking almost pain free wearing these shoes. I walked about 13 miles and my foot was just slightly painful but no swelling. Its amazing!! Truly amazing. They are quite slippery though. On wet surfaces i have to be very careful. Walking on dirt is fine but pavement, tile cement - im walking cautiously. I bought these for my work but because of slipping i cant wear these while working. I usually am carrying a load and its a hazard. Unfortunately.

Last season's GTX Speedgoat worked great, even with my custom soles, but these are super low so when I add a little extra height my heel doesn't sit right in them.

These are better than other shoes I've had. My only complaint is the toe area is a little tight and by the end of the day my pinky toes are sore. They have excellent traction.

I would love to see the GTX offered in a wide. I need a wide toe bix and the women's wide fits very well but there is GTX version. Moving into the men's doesn't work quite as well as then the shoe is too big in the heel. The overall options for,wide shoes in GTX are much more limited.

I bought two different kinds would have given this a five but had to return them to buy a second pair of the ones that fit me better.

Great stable sole and upper, waterproof in the wettest conditions, comfy lacing system and tongue. Just a bit low in the heel but not a deal breaker.
