The shoes look fantastic. My 13 year old Grandson tried them on. He really likes them. Says they feel good on his feet.

My wife continued to rave about the Mafate Speed line, so I decided to give them a try. They seemed a bit big at first, but after a few trail runs, they feel perfect on my feet. Just did 11 miles in them this morning. The traction and comfort are both incredible. I love Hoka's quirky color schemes, which other companies are too scared to try. The laces are even amazing, allowing such a perfectly snug fit.

Great fit, lightweight, and outstanding traction. Has been outstanding on snow covered roads and trails thus far.

I got these shoes leading up to my spartan beast. I have logged in over 40+ miles on hard trail and they are amazing. Comfort, fantastic grip and the best trail shoe I have ever purchased. I hope Hoka continues to keep this shoe alive as I think it is perfect. Lots of half marathons in these and feet never hurt. Keep it up Hoka!

Perfect! Used these to hike the EBC trek and with no poles. The trek is rocky, steep in many sections, full of "stairs" or steps built into the rocky terrain. As you get higher, plenty of loose rock. Best part is the Mafate Speed 4 were the perfect companion.

It's my first pair of Hoka shoes and I'm very impressed. I would recommend them to anyone. I love all of the colors and styles of shoes Hoka offers.

I like Hoka for everyday wear. Walking, Hiking and any other activity. Unlike one pair of shoes that went to Apple Valley CA, I do not live there but a pair of my shoes I paid for were delivered to that place.

These are probably the most comfortable shoes I own. I am actually going to be ordering another pair. I hope my next pair of hokas are just as good or better than the first.

I've been a big fan of the speedgoat 3-5 but the Mafate 4 has a little more support and is not as squishy when you step on an uneven surface. They fit my feet perfectly. I highly recommend trying them.

I stopped buying the Hoka trail shoes because they were too heavy. I just bought the regular road shoes for years. Then I found these and they are light and yet stable enough. I love them for the trails.

For someone who suffers from plantar fasciitis the both pair of Hoka that I bought have turned my everyday pain into something non existent. The recovery and comfort is second to none.

This is my go to shoe for CrossFit. Great for rope climbing, lifting and good support for running.

I have had struggles finding a suitable shoe for long mountain/trail (Colorado) runs (4hrs+). The shoes I've tried for this application that haven't worked for a variety of reasons include: Saucony Xodus Ultra 1 and 2, Hoka Speedgoat 5, Merrell Agility Peak 5, and Topo Athletic Ultraventure 2. I have put about 60 miles on these Mafate 4s on and off trail in the mountains, and they are proving to be superb. The fit and lockdown is miles above the SG5, in my experience. Upper seemed to drain water effectively. The midsole is comfortable and a near perfect balance of cushion and response. I just did a 30mi segment of the Hardrock course in the San Juan mountains, rugged and rocky, and my feet were comfortable throughout a long and tough day on trail. The outsole is the best I've ever used- the Vibram Lite Base as well as the lug design create a very secure traction, felt solid on wet rocks (Saucony's great fail-point). I woudn't say these are a lightweight shoe, yet they felt nimble enough in technical terrain and did not feel cumbersome. If Hoka would lose the debris funnel--the heel swallow tail--which does necessitate the use of a gaiter in many outings, they would really have a dream trail shoe

Great shoe. Upper is superb, great fit. Midsole is responsive and cushy. Love the padded tongue. Great traction. Reminds me of the Evo Speedgoat and the 2 and 3 versions of the Speedgoat.

I have never ran in a more comfortable shoe absolutely perfect They run the way they look super cool shoes

I have had these Mafate Speed 4's for about a year and a half and absolutely love them. They work well on pavement, trails, snow and ice. The grip of these shoes is amazing.

10/10 super grippy and comfortable
