The shoes are well built but we're tough on my feet. Felt like the middle some was hard and caused pain on the bottom of my feet. The cushion is not as someone as the speedgoats.

I realize the people working for Hoka have totally different taste than myself but please provide just 1 neutral color like the Speedgoat 5's & Challenger 7's do. I've order 2 of the colors trying to get myself to say who cares, they feel great & I'm going to race in them, only to say nope, no way I'm wearing these. Just 1 normal color please.

In terms of performance and midsole, these shoes have been fantastic. However, within the first two weeks of wearing my first pair, one of the eyelets broke and ripped out of the shoe. I thought it was a one-off issue, and I returned the shoe and bought a new one. Sure enough, two weeks later the exact same thing happened. My friend happened to order the same shoe, color, and size, and we noticed his eyelets had way more overlay fabric preventing a tear. I just ordered a new pair for the third time, and the eyelet fabric is thin once again and will likely break soon. If you are unlucky like me, you will continue to receive the defective model. Hoping Hoka will address this, I'm getting tired of driving to the post office to return a shoe that is otherwise great. For such an expensive shoe, I expect it to last at least 30 days before having a major breakdown.

Heavy shoe with no ground feel. Better on the downhills than the uphills, but not worth the overall running performance compromise. It's not soft enough or snappy enough for me to keep in my shoe quiver.

After 3 pairs of Speed Goats, I decided to try something new. I received a pair of these as a gift for my birthday after being forced to not buy them for myselfthis becomes relevant later. After 2 months, pieces of the outsole began to peel away and detach. The same week the Hoka logo also began to peel away. I reached out to Hoka and it was immediately apparent than unless I asked the person who gifted me the shoes for their receipt, there was nothing that could be done. Of course I'm not going to do that so I was just SOL. I never fully removed the pieces of outsole that started to detach and instead just let them wear off. I was content with the situation until today when the entire bottom outsole started to peel away from the shoe after only 4 1/2 months. I use these shoes to play disc golf, so the outsoles wear out much faster than normal trail running and I expect to get about 10-12 months of usage before there is no longer any grip, but I've never had an outsole detach from the shoe while using them. I'd recommend sticking with Speed Goats for anyone on the fence.

Received these shoes as a gift a year ago and came back to purchase another pair, only to find out this model had been discontinued. I love the ability to wear these shoes for long periods of time without making my feet sore. I was looking and the materials and effects the shoes have, no other shoe compares in material or style. Very disappointed in the color selections, especially the lack of red. I want to continue supporting Hoka, however, you are making it very hard to support.

I will never again buy a pair of Hokas. The eyelet broke on this shoe while I was running in it, with far fewer than 200 miles on the shoe. I sent it in for a warranty claim and they refused the warranty claim, claiming that the issue was "wear and tear." I have never, in all my years of running, had an eyelet break on me. I will never buy another pair of Hokas, and I encourage anyone reading this review to think twice before buying.

It appears that these are pre-owned sneakers, one of the left shoe eyelets is broken. What a waste of time, It is not unreasonable to expect good quality control when you pay $196

Not putting any serious mileage yet (less than 3 months), still had a damaged sole. Really disappointed with these shoes.

I ordered these shoes with very high hopes, having had probably 14-16 pairs of Hoka's over the past 3 or so years. I have had the Bondi and the Speed Goats and some other variation of their trail shoes. They have all been very good. This was the only pair that was problematic, which is a shame because they looked cool. I put them on and did 3.6 miles. I knew pretty soon that something was wrong so I cut the hike short. Buy the time I got back home, I had one hellish blister on the back of my left foot-ankle. It has still not fully healed, but it is getting better. Again, this is the only Hoka's that have caused me any trouble. Need to figure out how they can be returned---they were only worn once.

I have been VERY happy with HOKA's (I counted and I have had over 20 pairs) I do triathlon, it is a sickness! I got a new pair of shoes from Hokal, which was sent expedited. I received them right before a trip to Oregon. On the first wear, the eye hole tore through when I was lacing them up. I compared it to my speed goats and see it is VERY close to the edge. However, it seems strange that these holes are so close, and I have never had an issue, so I have never had to return them. Ironically, this Oregon trip was an anniversary trip I bought my wife the women's version; she loves them with no issues. The holes are way further away from the edge. However, working with customer support has been a joke. The automated return process did not even ask specifically what was wrong with the item. I got back today to initiate the return. The system was down, so I had to use the chat feature. Haven seemed to not even care. I had to re-enter my information, and the messed-up shoe had to be replaced in a timely manner. To get a replacement in a timely manner, I had to buy another pair out of pocket. Then, I had to wait for them to receive the messed-up pair for a refund. I really expected for the company that has such amazing shoes to have amazing customer support.

I purchased these back in October 2024 and got a handful of runs in before one of the eyelets broke. I was instructed to return them under warranty for evaluation. They were marked as received in March 2025. My warranty was denied and the rationale was that they were past the year long warranty date. So I wasted money on these shoes and money to ship them back. They're general good while they last, but Hoka's motto should be "good luck."

The shoe fits amazingly but the lace holes break within 2 months. I bought my first pair in December and by February, they were already broken with minimal wear. They graciously sent me a new pair and again, two months later, the holes break. very disappointing.

This show did not fit at all. Felt tight and narrow although it was sized the same as previous models purchased. Materials felt stiff an cheap. Kinda disappointed

My last pair was the 3 they were great but the 4 is not because they made the toe box smaller and for me that makes it to small for trail running will have to check out other options like brooks trail shoes
