I was excited to try these out and have been relatively disappointed. First, the shoe is much blockier than the images show, and the shoe didn't feel nimble for trail running. But the worst part is that the heel does not dial in on the foot as expected, and I experienced lots of slipping on the back arch throughout the trail. Wouldn't recommend this shoe unfortunately.

As someone who has worked 30+ years on my feet, I have gone through every possible option. My search is over. Based on comfort, and wearability 10+,A+. Never have I come home from work and left my shoes On! Safe, durable, easy to clean, and dare I say stylish. Started off with one pair, now I'm up to 4

I wear my shoes at work and I'm an ER nurse working 48-60 hours a week.

I purchased the low and mid GTX speedgoat 5 because I thought it would have the exact same fit as the regular non-GTX low Speedgoat 5. It does not fit the same. I had to return them because they were uncomfortable - the insole felt like it was slightly higher along the outer edge of my foot than the regular speedgoats and just put pressure on my foot where I did not want any pressure. I experienced this fit difference in both the low and mid gtx versions as compared to the non-gtx low version. Another difference I noticed in the low GTX version is that the edge of the shoe that surrounds the ankle is lower than the non-GTX version and I felt like my foot was coming out of the shoe. I love the regular non-GTX speedgoat 5 shoes - they are super comfortable - but these GTX versions are not for me. I'm curious if other people will notice the difference in fit.

I normally wear Mizuno's for the extra width and good arch support. I found the Hoka's to be very similar. I was impressed how quickly they were to break in. The whole look and feel of this style is amazing. Definitely recommend. Will buy again.

Beautiful sneakers but it's a bit narrow for my insoles.

The look, the feel, it's whatever you want these to be. Very comfortable to wear all day and never worry about an orthotic..

They fit great, offer nice cushioning, and so far are waterproof. Exactly the trifecta of goodness I was seeking.

In the process of returning my shoes. The right foot was hurting my foot. Hopefully I'll get a new one. Have the Black one and it's awesome. Love it!

By far, this shoes is more comfy and better for long walks and hike

The SPEEDGOAT 5 GTX was on sale and loved the RED color, so I purchased them. I'm not a trail runner or hiker per say, but will be traveling to Europe next year and will be using them in Greece and Italy to aide in walking on the challenging surfaces.

I have been suffering for the past year and a half with plantar fasciitis. Everything I have tried never worked. I finally purchased these shoes!!! What a relief!!! I just told my wife the other day that it is amazing how I can walk again and not cringe in pain with every step. I honestly don't think I will ever wear another brand of shoe. These are amazing and I highly recommend them for anyone especially people with plantar fasciitis

The upper molded well to my foot and clings well. No shifting! The heel seems to have extra bounce. The sole lugs crinkle on pavement and I expect to wear them down too quickly. A very good shoe with excellent rebound!

Great light hiking shoes, nice fit right out of the box.

These shoes are very comfortable right out of the box, but I've still taken it easy getting adjusted to them since they're might first pair of Hokas. They have excellent cushioning and a broad base, so they're very stable for hiking. I like them enough that I ordered a second pair.

My wife insisted on me trying just one pair of Hokas, now this is all I will wear. This pair I bought mainly for the wet, muddy months, but they are also great summer hikers. The sizing is so consistent, that I don't have to worry about if my new shoes will fit. I know they are expensive, but my feet are worth it!

We walk early in the mornings in dew soaked grass. The water proofing does keep my feet dry. And the shoes are quite comfortable!
