I THOUGHT I got Bondi's before - I walked around saying 'I'm walking on Hoka clouds!' that was two years ago. the heel broke in one shoe so I got new ones and got these. I just use them for walking and for that - they have support but I feel like Im walking on wooden planks. Also, note to anyone in NYC: these shoes are DANGEROUS on subway platforms when the stuff is out to melt ice. Unless you want your sneakers to feel like skates. I'm disappointed.

The shoes look lovely but I'm sorely disappointed because they are not any wider than the Stinson. I ordered a D width so they should've been wide enough for me, but are not. I emailed Hoka about it 10 days ago on January 20 and they still have not responded. They also charged me eight dollars for shipping which I would not have been charged had I ordered elsewhere. I'll be happy to change this review when they correct the issue.

Tried on my friend's earlier Bondi style and loved it. Because my feet are wider than hers I ordered a larger size and in Wide. The toe box was very tight, not wide at all. Those of us who need a wider toe box need it actually wider....not 1/4 inch but significantly wider. I returned them although I like the style.

I bought the the Hoka Bondi 8 size 9 and the toe box was too narrow so I exchanged it for the wider 9D. I wore the shoes at work and they were good for the first 5 hours, but after the bottom of my foot right behind the toes became very painful. I had to take the shoes off and they've left my foot very soar and red. Even the wide size is still quite narrow.

This is my Third pair of Bondi 8. I expected this pair to feel the same as the previous pairs. Unfortunately this pair did NOT meet my expectation. The toe bed was noticeably tighter and the arch support was uncomfortable. The arch support dug into my arch leaving indentations....more so on my left foot vs right, but, both arches were red w indentations when shoes were removed. This did not happen w previous Bondi 8 purchases. I thought maybe it was a problem or defect with the pair I received until I saw a similar review. I Scratched the idea of ordering another Bondi 8 to see if it is an issue with the pair I received. Ordered a different model. I'm not ready to give up on HOKA just yet.

I thought it would be fine until I spent a day wearing them. Too short, I ordered 8 1/2 these say size 8. Since I wore them one day I do not think they can be returned. Not very happy with purchase on Zappo.

I have been a HOKA customer for a few years now. I bought the Arahi 5 and liked them so much I bought a second pair, no issues. In December 2023 I bought the Arahi 6 and they have been giving me blisters on the inside edge of my heel, started with the right and now happening on right and left foot. Decided in January to try the Bondi 8. Just tried them out and same exact thing, blisters in the same exact spots!!! So I google searched it-others saying they are having same issues, some getting blisters on the heal, others on the arch of their foot. I read a post on Reddit that pretty much summed up the problem, the insole/inserts. They are rougher around the edges than the previous model and have different number code imprints on the side-hmm are they different? Different material maybe?
I am so mad. I called customer service to see if I could get different insoles sent to me but that's not an option. I guess I could go out and buy/try to find new insoles but I shouldn't have to after spending nearly $300 on sneakers. It's a real bummer because I really liked my first pair and highly recommend them.

Not happy with the fit and look. The toe box sole looked like there should have been a horse shoe under it. The heel was a bit tight. Ended up returning them.. sorry.

Please consider to offer women shoes similar to some of the men in an extra wide size. Your marketing would improve and provide greater customer satisfaction. Thanks

For the woman with extra wide feet, Hoka doesn't make shoes in this size. Thus they are uncomfortable. So for women in this category, one needs to order a man's shoe.

I have owned 2 Bondi 6 pairs, and 2 Bondi 7 pairs. I am currently wearing my last Bondi 7 and a Gaviota 5, alternating, for work. Bondi have been my favorites, great cushioning, excellent to be on my feet all day on 12 hour shifts. I was very excited about the Bondi 8's, but unfortunately, they are going back. They feel true to size, toe box is great (I wear wide), but the "walking on a cloud" feeling of the previous Bondis is gone. Feels flat on the front of the toe. The look is also bulkier, the sole sticks out on both sides of the foot: that will be OK, however, if the shoe had the cushion the previous versions had. I also own 2 pairs of Clifton 8s that I absolutely love for everyday, not at work, walking. I hope I can find another style for work.

You have narrowed the toe box width from my previous 4 pairs so I had to order a wide.
You secured the tongue which does not enable me to loosen the laces over my high instep.
Extremely disappointed.
I commented already ion my 7w Bondi and again the secure tongue is an issue!!

For reference, I am a 44 year old woman. I had heard wonderful things about the comfort of these shoes so I finally purchased a pair a month ago. Maybe I bought the wrong ones or something because they are the least comfortable of any shoes I've ever owned. I thought maybe they just needed to be broken in, but they are not tight and I've worn them more than a handful of times now. They make my feet hurt every time. I even tried adding a liner to them and it barely helped. I previously wore sketchers and compared to these they are far superior in the comfort category. Unfortunately, I'm regretting my purchase.

This is the third pair, previous two were awesome. One minor design flaw - a very small notch in both shoes that has a missing fabric near the top right (for left shoe) and top left (for the right shoe) causes me some pain on that bony structure. It goes away after removing the shoe, but I am not happy with this design change.

Got these Bondi 8 on sale. They fit tighter than Clifton and top of heal ( back of shoe) is less robust. I had to return them for fit. Made the mistake of exchange! Should have returned and purchased a new pair. Cuz 10 days after return was given to carrier it has not been received by Hoka! Then another 7-10 days. Should have stayed with Clifton.

I bought this shoe to work as I'm either standing or walking for more than 8hrs a day. I have wide feet and was excited about the reviews, so I purchased a 7.5 wide. For my surprise, it is tighter than my Ascis 7.5 wide that cost less than half of the price I payed for the Hoka. The high arch support makes it pretty uncomfortable for me. It is still usable and cute, but for the price, I expected more.

The Hoka Bondi 7 lasted so much longer in their materials. I am still wearing 2 older 7's for walking in the rainy weather and keeping the new shoes only for work. I've racked hundreds of comfy miles on them and they did not wear down in the tongue and ankle areas as the Bondi 8's have. Currently my 7 month old (only for work of 32 hrs a week) already have the foam showing on the top of the tongue and portion surrounding the ankle area. This is way to soon for the price being paid. I know companies like to change styles, but i cannot afford to pay the Hoka price for quick wearing areas as mentioned above. it makes the shoe look tacky with the need to feel like you have to buy another. The workmanship of the bondi 7 was better. Not sure i'll purchase another unless this was an oddity/lemon. I will say the Hoka brand did take away the foot pain I was experiencing prior to trying this brand. for that I am thankful

I liked the heel cup nice fit and wide toe box but the arch wa way off for me, it was actually uncomfortable and felt like my feet were both rubbing raw against the inside arch. I have Clifton 9 wide and they don't have the arch problem, would like a tighter heel on the Clifton which was the reason for trying the Bondi 8. I had to return due to the arch.

I bought this product based on all the positive reviews I've heard and read on social media, but unfortunately, it hasn't been one of my best purchases. I mostly work standing, and this shoe doesn't provide the necessary support in the heel. By the end of the day, I end up with pain.

This is my 4th pair of the Bondi line and they feel different and uncomfortable. Maybe they have to be broken in but I have never experienced this with my previous purchases. I don't feel the cushion that I enjoy in Hokas. My feet actually hurt a little.

This is my 2nd pair of HOKAs. I purchased because I loved the first pair.
The Bondi is different. Same size but seem to be somewhat narrow.
Particularly, when laced the tongue in not centered but rather leaning in.
It may have something to do with the fact that the tongue is stitched on the inner side, but is not stitched on the outside of the sneaker.

I have terrible heel and hip pain. I own the Machs, and they have great squishy cushion. The Bondi 8 are hard as a rock. Unfortunately they will sit in the closet till I figure out what to do with them.
I still love the brand!

I know many people love this shoe (I purchased it based on a TON of recommendations) but it just didn't work for me. I ran 20 minutes and started to feel blisters form on the soles of my feet and it was dreadful. I think this shoe might be designed for specific foot shapes, but certainly not mine. I wish I did like them - they're quite beautiful. I had to return them.

The lavender in the picture is vibrant but the color of the sneaker is pale and not appealing to me so I will be returning them.
