The style and the exterior look were huge but it was a very tight fitting even with the wide size. It didn’t make a whole lot of sense. I have hoka Clifton 9 and it fit much better and lighter and looks slimer.

I've had these sneakers almost a year now and completely wore the soles out. There's pieces falling off the sole now. For the price they need to put a better sole on these. But I loved the comfort.

A few years ago I was introduced to Hoka sneakers and fell madly in love with them. I stand on my feet all day for work, and the previous model of the Bondi 7's that I have worn have been fantastic. I wanted a new brighter color for a change so I ordered my first pair of the Bondi 8's. While the shoe seems as comfortable as all my others in the previous model (I haven't really had a chance to wear them all day yet to know for sure) there are a few cosmetic issues that I absolutely hate about them.
I get my shoes in wide so that I can fit my arch support inserts in them comfortably. I also always purchase them half a size larger so that I have plenty of toe room. That preference comes from years of wearing Birkenstocks and letting my feet spread out more. The fit seems the same from that aspect.
For some reason on this new model they flared out the rubber bottoms in the front so that they look like clown shoes. The wide fit in the shoe itself is exactly the same just for some reason they wanted to change the streamlined look of the previous model and widen the appearance of the rubber underneath the cloth. I really wish they gave you an option of including pictures with the review so I could put my 7's beside my new 8's and you could see what I'm talking about, it's extremely obvious when they're side-by-side.
They also shortened the length of the shoelaces by several inches. I lace mine all the way back to the last hole and there's barely enough left over to tie it tight when I put it on. It's not like the shoelaces come in colors that make it easily available to match in a longer length if I wanted to replace them. Maybe Hoka offers that option and I should look into it. I shouldn't have to spend more money for shoelaces that fit though.
Because of these two cosmetic issues I'm not sure I would buy another pair of the Bondi 8. I'll wait until the next version comes out, hoping that they'll go back to the more streamlined style and shoelace length of the 7's.

Used for walking. Nice and bouncy on heels. Wish there was options for high arches though. Maybe next iteration...

Have the Bondi 8 in the airy blue/sunlit ocean and love them. Ordered the black/white version but you can't see the white on sole around toe box when looking from the top of foot. The black on the top part of the sole appears to extend the black mesh toe box thus making a huge round looking toe box. Looks like my feet should be in the circus! Please add some white or silver next to the black mesh toe box to make a distinct separation. Am returning these because they make my feet look goofy!!

I do not like the newer style of Bondi. The older ones were not so wide in the sole and seemed to be sturdier made. New ones are clownish looking and not as sturdy. They are the most cushioned shoes I have tried. Still very comfortable but less sturdy and not as attractive

I've had my Bondi 8 for one month now, wearing nearly every day. I'm very disappointed with how they compare to my previous Bondi 7. I've had three pair of Bondi 7, which I loved. They were the perfect shoe. The new Bondi 8 is much stiffer and not as cushioned. It also began rubbing the inside of my right foot and I had to stop wearing them. I will not buy another pair of Bondi.

I was disappointed in these shoes. I love the color but they were not immediately comfortable. Most of the reviews said they had a lot of cushion and comfortable. They feel tight in the toe box and don't have much cushion in the arches. I will keep them but won't buy more.

I absolutely love these shoes. I purchase several pairs a year... and I always have to settle on the colors because I need wide. I know so many people who also buy this shoe in wide and who also say the very same thing. Does the company think people who wear wide shoes only want basic and/or ugly colors? Does the company think people who wear wide shoes don't spend their money on shoes like this? The company obviously has a design and mold for this shoe in wide, and the materials to make colors like this, so why not make a batch in wide? Or let people order until you have enough orders and then make the batch? Teachers wear them, people in the medical field wear them, and everyone I've met who wears wide says the same thing: why can't we buy the same pretty colors in wide?? This shoe gets a 5 star from me except for the fact that I cannot buy them in the colors that I want....

I have 2 Hoka Bondi new. I've notice the foot bed after 3 days molds to your feet and I feel like the bed on both sides comes up & the center of the bed gives in. Hoka, did you folks decide to change the footbed or any part of the bottom half of the Bondi? I feel a difference and I am not happy about the change.

Quality of shoe is great! I order the wide pair because of my bunions. What i didn't know, was that the shoe itself and not where my feet go would be the widened part.too late to return and my feet need more room.

Nice cushioned shoe but since ankle surgery the top sits too high on ankle. Too bad

This is my 6th pair of Hokas. They have been great up until this last pair. The plush sole does not have as much bounce to it as my previous pairs. Still better than most brands, just kind of disappointed. Seems like the quality is declining.

This is my 8th or 9th pair of Hokas and most of those pairs have been Bondis. I have a wide foot and suffer from plantar fasciitis and a Morton's Neuroma. Hokas are one of about 3 shoes I can wear. I bought a pair of wide Bondi 8s in the same size I've always been, and this pair irritates my Morton's Neuroma and are therefore unwearable. I have Bondi 8s in another color that don't have this issue.
I'm not a fan of the style of the Bondi 8s, they don't look as good in my opinion as the Bondi 7 or Bondi 6 and seem to have less cushioning. And the color selection of the wide widths aren't as good as the ones that aren't wide.
Very sad to have to return - but wondering why this pair fits differently than all the other wide Bondi size 7s I've purchased in the past. Extremely disappointed.

These are my first pair & I am loving them! I work long shifts on my feet and my leg & back do not give me any issues. My only complaint would be that I have worn the shoes now 5 times and around my 3rd shift of wearing these the right sole has started to squeak when I walk..

I hummed and hawed over this purchase for awhile. I work on my feet nearly all day and needed something that would support me. I researched and asked around for opinions and this was the most recommended. I finally bit the bullet and bought these. I was disappointed. They feel small even though I bought my regular and wide size. They dug into the sides of my feet and my toes felt cramped. I thought maybe a bit of breaking in will do but it didn't help much. My feet also still feel tired and I needed extra cushion for my heels. I bought a foot insert and I'm hoping that will help. As expensive and recommend these were I was expecting a lot more. I don't know if I'll give these another try after these go.

I have tried to find a "Hook" to love. Alas they all look like boats on my feet and the minimal comfort isn't worth it. Going back again.

I had purchased a black pair of HOKA's in Roseville MN store and also wanted this blue pair of shoes but none of the local MN stores carried the blue color. Thus I ordered them on line. Please know while I love the Hoka shoe, the 9.5 in blue did not fit the same. They were smaller. I ordered another blue thinking maybe it was a fluke in manufacturing but I needed to return both of the 9.5s. I even paid for expedited shipping. I did return to another Hoka store in St Louis Park, MN and learned that often when HOKA comes out with a new color that the sizes are not consistent. This is a manufacturing issue that needs your attention. I ended up buying now not only the black in 9.5 but your newest color that is a lighter blue in a 10.

I went in store and tried on this shoe, which felt great other than the length - I wear an 8 but there was only a 7.5 in stock - a bit short. So I ordered an 8, and they considerably bigger than the 7.5! I've worn them in the gym and indoor track (I'm a PE teacher) a couple of times and though I love the comfort, the extra room feels a bit clumsy. Granted, I do have narrow feet. I haven't looked into a return since I've worn them, but I might have gone back to the 7.5 and sacrificed a little toe bump.

I am currently in the process of returning the Bondi 8's. They relieved my shin and knee pain and helped my heel pain but they rubbed the insides of my feet to where they were very red and beginning to form blisters. I am hoping to find a pair of Hoka's that fit perfect. I wished these had worked out but I have hope a different Hoka style will work for my wide flat feet. Hoping to try some on in store and find my Hoka style
