I got these to do my daily running/jogging and because I've always wanted Hokas, so it's my first time owning a pair. But I feel they aren't what I expected them to be. They feel stiff every time I've tried doing my runs in them, not sure if they have to be broke in? But that's my experience with them. Comparing them to Asics Gel Nimbus 25, I'd say the gel nimbus' are much more plush. If you're a person that likes more firm shoes I'd say these would be for you but if you like plush shoes like me, these are not it. Although I will say, they're great for daily wear/walking around in.

I have been wearing Hokas for years. Within the past three years, I feel the quality has diminished. Specifically, the metal insert in the heel begins to wear through and cause blisters and pain within six months of wear. For the cost of these shoes, it is very disappointing.

I'm trying to get use to them. I've had a couple of blisters, and pain under one foot pad, after about 3 miles. I think it will work itself out< I hope

Okay, usually I am a size 8 in hokas and 9 in normal shoes, I ordered this in a 8.5 and had to return for a 9 which still feels tight so I might have to go up to a 9.5. The plus side is returns are easy. They're very very plush and comfortable, but even the wides have no room in the toes. I'm not even wide footed, I just like my toes to have room and this pressed super tightly against them while being loose in the sides of the foot. The tongue being sewn to the side also really sucks. I don't think I'll be buying hokas anymore but I'll still use this pair

The shoes are wonderful. I have tendinitis and arthritis and these feel very very comfortable. However, my first pair ran a bit short, and I wanted to exchange them for half size larger. It took over three weeks for Hoka to receive the return pair. Apparently they got lost somewhere in there. Return shipping. I finally, FINALLY got my exchanged shoes, and they sent the wrong color!! Not happy! The exchanged would've taken forever, so I returned those pair and bought a new pair and finally got my correct pair of shoes PLEASE, Hoka, do a better job with your exchanges!

I have several foot and toenail problems that have to be addressed when buying shoes. The Bondi 7 was perfect! Sadly it has been discontinued. I decided to try the Bondi 8 but they are too tight over my big toes which would not be solved with a wide width shoe. The 7 had more room above the toe area. I was really disappointed because I really like the color and looks of the 8.

Ordered a size 11, that part worked until a few days ago. My feet started feeling this tight rub in the front..so I guess my feet are WIDE? Taking a break from wearing the shoes for a while and will try a WIDE size when I have the money to afford another pair. Until then I'm rocking the New Balance FOAM.
I'd also recommend:

These shoes were recommended by my ankle orthopedic doctor. My feet ache after wearing them for only a couple hours. I have tried them twice now. I don't want to give up as you have such a high rating, but truly struggling. Any suggestions? I have had several ankle surgeries so it could just be me.

I have had Hoka Bondi before and they were comfortable. However, this was a different number Bondi. I tried them on, walked around my living room then returned them to the box and returned the box to Hoka. I felt like I was going to trip wearing them. They were very clunky. Probably just my feet.

I had the Bondi 7 and found it "life changing" , so I felt confident when I made this purchase. Initial the sneaker felt comfortable but over a few hours the big toe of both feet were aching. I was very disappointed. Since I had worn the sneakers for a few hours, they were not eligible for returns

Love Bondi but I ordered black/black. I thought I was imagining things. Bottom is black but shoe is navy blue!

Everyone I know raves about these shoes. I did not find them comfortable. I used them for very short runs and walks of less than 6 miles a day and they weren't comfortable or supportive. The heel and toes cushioning is good, but the overall comfort wasn't there. They rubbed against the side of my foot. I think these shoes might be great for people who stand a lot or do lots of walking in short bursts during the day. They aren't for exercising though. I do love the exchange policy, I exchanged these for a pair of Graviota and maybe those will be better.

i love the look of the bondi 8 but the color is so ugly i won't even lie, i was looking for a basic white shoe for running and in store i picked out the white ones i wanted from the bondi 8 collection but i got them cheaper online in the exact same color and let me just say this shoe is definitely not white and appears to be an ugly light blue which results in my actual white socks looking yellow and dirty. do not get white if your looking for a white running shoe!

The Bondi 8 fits tighter in the toe box than my Bondi 6. The foot base is wider and wonder if the whole inside of the shoe was compromised to fit over the base. I have been wearing the Bondi style for over ten years and have never been disappointed.

The Bondi has narrowed. Also it feels as though the cushion that was on the last pair I bought has deflated. The tongue has been sewn to the sole for some reason. But only 1 side, which looks weird when my foot puffs out and swells. The sewn tongue is a big let down. The narrow design is a big let down. The shrunken cushion is a let down. I don't understand the complete change to the design when Hoka has so many other shoes.

For some reason the shoes have noticeably different colors on the sides due to a poor paint job. The side of one shoe is the pink like on the picture, and the other is purple and fading lol. I would also say these run very narrow - I have pretty narrow to normal feet and feel like I'll have to break these in a bit cause the sides are tight.

I probably just purchased the wrong item for my particular foot. I recommend going to a brick and mortar that sells these and have them fit you with a specific style. I purchased the Bondi s and they tilt my foot outward and they rub the sides of my foot to the point of creating calluses. I threw the box away after I had worn the for a casual 1 mile walk without incident but after a fast paced e mile walk I started feeling the problemso unable to return. They are cushy tho so probably great for shopping or standing in lines. This is my 3rd pair of Hoka's and Im just not as impressed with them as everyone elseI will likely stick to Asics and Sketcher's in the future.

There is a problem with the instep which causes pain after wearing even a short time. The shoe looks really wide, and was too wide for me, but I didn't see a narrow option. Also the toe part got dirty when I drove my car and I am wondering how to clean it. Can they go into the washer?

Really wanted the bondi 8s to be actually white. They're a light shade of blue. Even the laces are light blue

This is my first pair of Hoka's. They are my running and walking shoe. I do like them but there is are couple of things I don't like. I think the fabric at the toe area is too loose. Also, I run indoor on a treadmill and outdoors 4 days a week long distance and when I wear these they hurt the outer side of my feet beneath the pinky toes. Now my ankles and achilles are hurting which never did before when I wear my Nike running shoes. I had high hopes for them but, I don't think I'll purchase them again. I got these for my birthday March 4th and been using since.

These shoes fit well and were quite comfy. That said, the soles were So. Massive. Just so, so big looking. I have worn Hokas for years so I'm used to the chunky sole look, but these shoes were just so much wider, like pie plates. Add to that the light aqua / lavender color that was one of only two options in a wide in my size had me looking a bit like my niece when she was 5. I thought it would be fun, but ... together with the Clydesdale foot look, was just a no.
