Toebox felt narrow and I'm not sure if it would stretch out. Also, I have the Bondi 7, and the Bondi 8 in comparison looks almost freakishly large. The sole is enormous!

Not at all as cushioned and billowybas my first pair of Bondis. So disappointed! Was looking forward to that walking on pillows feel.

Everyone loves Hoka's- they just do not work for my feet! I need good arch support and stability.

I loved all the Bondi models except this one. My orthodic didn't fit well, and the shoes look like I have club feet. Bring back to Bondi 7 !!!!!!

I love Hoka. I've had Bondi 8s for years, and never had issues. I have plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, and a tailors bunion on my left foot, and I'm a Nurse, so I'm on my feet for what literally feels like all day. I buy Hoka b/c they are roomy in the toe and have great support. BUT this time, my Bondi 8s (wide) are already wearing down on the outside, causing my stride to be off, chafing, and pain all the way to my knees. I've had them less than a month. I'll likely send them back, but they are the third style I've tried in the last two months and it just feels like Hoka has changed. The insoles at the heels are almost rock hard, and they feel tighter in the middle of the shoe. After even just 2 hours on my feet, I have to loosen my shoes and rub my feet - something I've NEVER had to do with Hokas

Got these as a replacement for my worn out Gaviotas. They're advertised as wide, but they're not wide. I put them on and immediately noticed the shoe pinched my toes. Called customer support and they agreed Bondis aren't really wide. Returned them for a new pair of Gaviotas.

This is my second pair of Hokas. Absolutely ADORED my first pair and they lasted me for nearly two years. Provided great support and helped with back pain. I was able to exercise regularly with no issues. When I got this pair, things started to "go" almost immediately. Pads or inserts inside the shoe come out almost every time take my shoes off. Hard to get them back in lined up well and in place. I've had them for only about three months and I already have a small hole in the right upper of the right shoe. As that hole pushes through and gets any bigger I will no longer be able to wear.

I have liked this brand and this was my third pair of Bondi shoes. But this pair didn't feel as wide or as cushioned as the pairs before. Maybe this was a fluke, or maybe the manufacturing has changed. But I had to return these because they were too narrow in the toe box.

I usually LOVE this brand and style and have bought many of them but this pair is just NOT the same. NO CUSHION. Like walking on flatly boards. For the price I have to return and try another brand.

I tested these out at two stores. Then tried other styles of Hoka. The design of these shoes includes a stiff seam inside the shoe on the inside of the arch which I found VERY uncomfortable. Scratchy. Could tell it would rub my foot raw in no time. Other shoes have a softer seam in the same place. I could not buy these shoes, which were otherwise comfy.

I felt that the shoe was too cumbersome. The overall feel was just "too much shoe."I also didn't feel that stability as in other shoes.

I like Bondi. I like that it comes in a wide width, but I have a high instep, and the half-gusseted tongue on Bondi 8 slides to the side where it is attached to the inside of the shoe, making the tongue sit off-center over my instep. It's not comfortable. Has anyone tried cutting free the gusseted side of tongue? What were your results?

from the side profile i was hoping this shoe would offer more cushioning in the ball of the foot . the sports stores around me do not carry my size in hoka and its been difficult being able to try on to see what works best for me im a 7 1/2 wide but have to go to an 8 w to be safe would only recommend if the person can try on in person to find the size and style that works

I use them for everyday walking. The Left one feels good but the right irritates the outside of my little toe,so after about an hour I have to take them off.

These were super comfortable when I put them on (and remained so), but the front is too wide (the sole extending way beyond the shoe); and I was tripping over my own feet. They look cool but stumbling isn't cool at my age. Had to return them. Bummed.

I'm still trying these out. The left foot seems to rub on the top of the shoe and today I had trouble with my arch in the left shoe. right foot seems to be a little short thinking about returning them.

I really wanted to like this one because it fit race reviews online but it felt weird and rubbed uncomfortably against the sides of my feet - not comfortable at all.

For years have used another brand that I really like but, when faced with buying a new pair, my doctor recommended I try Hokas. I am a person who has averaged over 10,000 steps per day for the past several years. I do suffer with piriformis syndrome and my doctor stated that Hokas helped both her and her mother with this issue. I have been using the Bondi 8's for the past few weeks and, in this time, have not noticed any significant changes. They seem to be a little less cushy than I had hoped and I definitely don't care for how wide the base is making my feet look like tugboat! I will continue using and love the colors but jury is still out on whether I will buy another pair.
