after one day of wear around the house and gym (no running) the tongue of each shoe migrates to the inner side of each. The tongue is attached to the inner side of each shoe's upper. It isn't attached to the outer side of each shoe's upper. This causes the tongue to migrate towards the instep even with minimal wear. The result, visually displeasing, It looks silly, it looks cheaply made. I would expect more. I tried to exchange for another pair to see if this issue was isolated, but oddly, my hugely popular size (12EE) sold out the day i noticed the issue. Been waiting a month for restocking. I guess i just have to wear these tired dogs and let their tongues hang where they do..

The review here is simple - the Bondi 8 is someone's idea of changing something for the sake of change itself. This shoe is NOT an upgrade at ALL. The Bondi 7 is simply the BEST shoe Hoka has ever made. The Bondi 8 is not only too narrow in the middle (change from the 7), but for some reason the sewed half of the tongue to the shoe and not the other - hmmm... This shoe is also an unbalanced feeling while in them, just standing. The last reason why the 8 is a bad iteration of the Bondi line is that it is so different that it is NOT fair to discontinue a great shoe and replace it with this. People who own companies and come up with their "ideas", should not make the public suffer, just because they are too arrogant or in love with their own ideas. It is a basic fact, if something sells well - there is a reason for it. I own 7 pairs of Bondi 7s and returned my only Bondi 8 pair, because it is simply the wrong shoe.

I have run on Bondis for years now. Bondi 8 is broken. Having foot pain, tingling, and numbness. The redesign is not a success. The single sided strap connecting the tongue to the shoe causes blistering and tons of pressure on the arches. I am going to be trying to find a Bondi 7 still available, but I will likely have to move to a different shoe brand.

I work retail so I'm walking on cement for 8 hours a day. The Bondi 7 was amazing right out of the box! Felt like I was walking on clouds. They only lasted 6 months but in that time I put approximately 600 miles on them so I decided to replace them with Bondi 8's. Horrible. Felt like I was walking on a semi cushioned 2x4. I used them for about 20 days to see if they would break in to that cloud goodness I experienced with the 7's. They never did so having been disappointed with the purchase, I returned them. You had perfection in the 7's and destroyed it with the 8's. I cannot find 7's that fit my feet so I'm probably going to have to buy inferior New Balance. Yuck! I'm really disappointed Hoka.

I purchased largely to support poor ankles with low cartilage. They were OK, but not as comfortable or supportive as a competing brand, so i returned them.

For the price of these Hoka's I expected a more comfortable shoe. After all the hype at every local shoe store for this brand, I decided to try them and ended up returning them very quickly. Both me and my boyfriend tried them and were not impressed. I have orthopedic inserts and they do not fit in Hoka's. My heels kept coming up too far when walking and the support didn't feel right. The bottom of shoes are so curved it makes you feel like your rocking when you walk, like your balance is off. I definitely don't recommend them to flat footed people or with wide feet.

I've been buying the Bondi 7 for a few years and was very happy with it. This model has been discontinued. I bought and tried the Bondi 8 and, unfortunately, it has been redesigned and doesn't fit. You've made it wider at the front but narrower in the middle. I have a high arch and the extra wide fit me well. The Bondi 8 in the same size/width no long fits. I'm very disappointed.

I have been proudly wearing and advocating for Hoka since my introduction to the Men's Bondi 6. However, the Bondi 8 is a total setback. The Bondi 8 is NOT plush, the shoe feels heavy when running, and the rocker insole is nonexistent. The Bondi 8 is a total let down from the previous models. The only aspect that I like about this particular model is the extended heel cushion. As you know, the Hoka brand has questionable durability issues. I'm for change and product improvement, but this was a bridge to far. Please listen to the customers and go back to the drawing board. I know Hoka can do it because the Bondi 6 and 7 were excellent models. I have to report that I had to switch to New Balance and Brooks this time around.

Last 2 times I have purchased Biondi 8s I have been disappointed. Toe box is narrower and I do not have wide feet. Unfortunately, just not that comfortable as my first few pairs. :-(

This is my 6th or 7th pair of these and my last. Hoka quality has become garbage. Each pair gets worse as far as quality. This pair the left foot opening is shifted to put heel on inside of heel area. The tongue has an elastic strap only on the arch side, so it gets pulled to the inside! No way to see that happening my gosh! Hoka is no longer a usable brand, very sad they used to be great!

I wore them for one run and I have a blister in the middle of my sole, in the arch area. I've been buying running shoes for 25+ years and have never had this happen.

These shoes seem to be well made. I purchased them online after many recommendations. The original fit was very small and tight toe to heel as well as side to side. Excellent customer service in exchanging them. A size larger was sent. Size fits better, however the arch support isn't right for me. I soils have gone to a brick and mortar to be fitted properly. I am unhappy with the purchase, although I made the mistakes. I will try another style in the future. I am hopeful.

The store salesman recommended that I order the size online directly from you. The store does not carry this size. It seemed fine, but after teaching with these the shoes on for a week, I realized that the fit is unbearable.

It's a good looking shoe, but it's too narrow after I wore it a few times. I went out of town for a couple of weeks and left them behind and went past the time I could send them back. They are too narrow for my foot and I'm not able to wear them and enjoy them. I feel I wasted my money.

I received this shoe for Christmas; after I tried them on, I found the tongue to be sewn in grossly crooked to one side. I have worn Hoka's for several years now and the Bondi 8 series is a major disappointment where quality control is concerned.

Please - I've been wearing and loving Hokas for a long time, but over the past two years, I have tried many styles that come with a far too-narrow toe box or a sloppy heal platform - not to mention the awful colors that someone at Hoka thinks are cool! Save Hoka! Get back to designing a great shoe!
