These were great in the beginning: plush yet resilient. However, after 4 months of running 10-15 miles per week, they have lost so much of their bounce. The residual feel of these shoes is squishy and sluggish, with minimal spring on toe-off. I realize that 4 months is considered a long time for running shoes, but I had gotten much longer out of my former Hokas, the Clifton 6. On the good side, these are very balanced for an ultra-cushioned shoe; perhaps too balanced as the wear on the out-soles is entirely on the lateral (outer) edges. These shoes don't seem to encourage any pronation, whereas my Clifton's soles wore evenly. Maybe it's the Bondi's wide base, but whatever the reason the wear and feel of these shoes in mid to late life is a good enough reason for me not to buy them again nor recommend them, unless you want a plush shoe for walking or for light recovery runs in your rotation.

I like the styling of the Bondi 8 a bit more than the previous iteration, but they are no longer wide. Bought 4E X-tra wide, but the way the shoe tapers sharply behind the big toe makes them quite tight. Bummed out.

Felt great to walk around in. Unfortunately it seems a bit narrow and the top of my foot felt "hot" when in them just sitting. Swapping them out for a larger size.

My GF bought me these for running as a birthday gift, they feel comfortable!, great for walking and everyday use. Not so much for running. I took these for runs and I've noticed that they feeling heavy! And not as light as you would think! I'm still using them to train since they are heavy! But, I wouldn't recommend them for Race Days! Wish they had some lighter shoes with some support.

I really wanted to like the shoe, but the tongue of the shoe which seemed plenty padded hurts the tendon in my foot/ankle after a couple miles. I played around with different lacing, but it didn't help for me. I would still recommend the shoe to others, assuming it fit them better. It was also a tad narrow for an extra wide shoe. I bought the 4E. Thank you Hoka for letting me return for a refund.

I bought these hoping for a great experience based on reviews. I recently had knee surgery and was looking forward to these. They are certainly soft and well-fitting however they seem to push my foot up and out which makes fir a painful experience after long walks. I may try a different pair in the future but not sure I'll do these again.

This is my second pair, exact same shoe and size just a different color. They are so much tighter in the toe box than the first pair. Considering sending back :(

I really love my past Bondi that I have purchased. I work on concrete floors and do about 35000 steps a day, so comfort and durability is a must. The bondi 8 have changed and not for the better. I normally wear a woman's 10 wide. I tried them on at a local store and found that the toe box is a little more narrow, the drop seems to be in a weird spot and the foot bed was also more narrow. So Itried on the men's at the store. They did fit better. They only had black at the store, so I ordered them online. I'm thinking I tried on a bondi 7 at the store because the ones I got online the tongue is more attached, which gives less ability to move it and make it fit just right. Also the foot bed itself even though it's the same size as the black is narrowed more. I love my Hoka bondi and it's all I've wore since the 6 came out. No other shoe has fit so well and felt so comfortable. Why did you take a great shoe and break it?

The Bondi 8 is about 3/8" wider across the ball of the foot on extra wide size which probably makes for more stability but I had to retrain my muscle memory to move my foot further left as many times I was pushing brake and accelerator in my truck at same time - dangerous. The materials for the sole do not hold up as well on the eight as they did on the 7 and to keep clean requires bristle brush on sides of the shoe, not just a wet cloth. I prefer the horizontal rear loop on the 7 rather than the vertical loop on the 8. Comfort is good and helps a lot since I have arthritis in both feet. Disappointed that extra wide only offers three colors but I guess demand for extra wide is not great.

The left shoe just doesn't fit right. Feels too tight. And wore them already so can't return them. Very disappointed. One shoe fits good the other not so much.

This was my second pair of hokas. First time trying the bondi 8. Went with the extra side instead jus the wide. I wear a size 11.5 but because I went with an extra extra wide shoe, my shoe ended up being about a half size bigger that a regular or wide size 11.5. But i still tried to work with them n give them a chance for about 15 or 20 days. And since HOKA is such a great company you're allowed to try their shoes for 30days and return them if needed. So I'm currently in the process of returning the shoes and replaced them with another pair but I chose wide instead of extra wide.
