I bought these shoes for arch support, and they are great in that respect. They seem like they are made of material that will not last more than a few months of wearing, but that remains to be seen. My issues are that they are pretty ugly all things considered, and even with extra wide, they are narrow and pretty uncomfortable.

Created irritation where 5th metatarsal meets cuboid bone likely because sneaker trim extends above the insert in shoe.

After several runs, the uppers have stretched enough that they are now too wide, and my foot is slipping causing blisters. I do have a wide foot, and really feel this is a problem with how they are constructed and not improper sizing.

Wanted to love the shoe. Wore it enough that it gave me calluses and caused foot pain. Despite the wear and tear, wonderful Zappos allowed me to return a shoe that I could not tolerate. Tried on a friend's shoe, different style of Hoka, and it was great. This shoe is well made and well-padded - I just need to find a better fit. I will be purchasing it from Zappos, whatever it is!

For some reason the construction of the arch support in one of the shoes pressed painfully on the arch of my foot. Could not figure out why or whether it was a problem with this particular shoe, with the model or with my foot but I have never had that problem with any Hoka shoe before. Going to go back to the Clifton, which has been fine in the past.

Left show was perfect fit. Inner sole on right side of right shoe has very uncomfortable protrusion.

The Bondi 8 is a Love/Hate relationship. There have been times when I could have walked in them for hours, but most of the time they feel too skwishy. Whenever I notice someone else wearing the same style I ask how they like them. The immediate answer is always positive, but then as we talk what one man described says it for me too: they are clumsy. Yes ... the sole is designed in such a way you could trip over your own feet! Nope ... not for me

The color online is not true to what the shoe actually looks like, it is much lighter and therefore didn't meet my needs

The shoe was too tight. I wear 9.5 but maybe should have gotten a 10. However, there is something strange in the arch. I felt like I was being poked in the arch by fabric. Could be the tongue being tied to the sides or something like that?

I really want to love Hoka products but they just don’t meet my needs. I ordinarily were a 9.5 and, at times, a 9.5 Wide. Sadly, Hoka’s wide sizes are just not very wide. But, the thing that keeps me from wearing them is tightness in the midfoot area. I’d like something that puts less pressure on the midfoot.

This had good cushion under the heel only. But it had 2 major problems: (1) not enough arch support, almost none (2) not enough footbed cushioning under foot: feels too solid to walk on. I have to return these as unwearable (and definitely not worth their price tag).

I order the Topo Phantom 3 and the Hoka Bondi 8 compared the two. The wide toe box of the Topo is wonderful for my foot. The Hoka was comfortable but Topo was better.

I've been wearing Hoka Bondis since Bondi 4s were available in large part because I have bad knees and the extra cushioning is nice. The Bondi 8s are substantially narrower than previous versions; I wear a normal width in every other shoe I own (including previous Bondis) but for the 8s, I needed to exchange for a Wide versions. The Bondi 8s are still fairly comfortable, but they feel noticeably firmer and less 'cushy'. The build quality had also gone down in this and previous versions. My Bondi 4s were make with reinforcement where the thin fabric of the uppers is mated to the sole material. Recent versions have omitted that reinforcement, and as a result, the upper fabric tears along the line where it meets the sole in the instep area. The toe box also no longer has reinforcement where my big toe rubs, so more recent Bondis develop holes there. For shoes at this price point, this decline in quality is discouraging. I wish the current owners of the Hoka brand would focus more on quality construction than on bringing dozens of jazzy colors. I'll definitely be looking into other brands that have the Bondi features but with better construction and materials.
