Didn't realize I was ordering men's shoes on my initial order of these shoes. So customer service suggested trying a smaller men's size , but unfortunately they are still too big.

I own 3 pair of hoka's and these don't rank up no where close to my other two pair the bindi 7 are my favorite go to shoe if it's walking 5 miles or running the plush is way better then the Anacapa Breeze wish I could exchange for something more comfortable

I walked the Camino Frances and wore out a pair of the Anacapa Breeze 4 days prior to reaching Santiago de Compostela. It was disappointing to have the lining, insole and outsole completely destroyed in less than 500 miles. In my opinion a hiking shoe should be able to last 500+ miles. After this experience and having previously worn multiple models of Hoka's, I will not purchase another pair of any Hoka models, because they wear out too quickly.

Not comfortable at all ! I have 3 pairs of Hokas . These you can feel the lumpy bottom grip through the bottom of the shoe when standing . I am going to exchange for another pair.

For some reason these just don't fit like the other models, the Clifton.. the speedgoat, even the Kaha... I wear the same size in all these shoes but I am between sizes in the Anacapa low. Dissapointed. Cool looking shoe otherwise.

I've been wearing Hoka's for a couple of years now to address foot pain and wanted to try their trail version. Unfortunately, these are not as comfortable as Cliftons and to me, have a design flaw. Specially, in the toe box, there is fabric that is wrapped in some areas with support outside. (You can see this in the pictures.) This made allows the foot to rub against this band and was always noticeable, even when I wore thicker socks. Finally, and this might just be the nature of the show, the heal area was too stiff and after a few hours of walking, my foot started to hurt. So, this pair has been returned and I'll keep looking for a trail shoe.

As an avid hiker, I have purchased multiple pairs of Speedgoats both regular and mid-goretex for the trail. I bought a pair of the Anacapa Breeze as everyday summer shoes, dog-walking, etc. I was very disappointed with the fit. I find that the banding that gives the shoe form is restrictive and provides unnecessary pressure points on the side of my feet which becomes uncomfortable after short periods of wearing. Will stick to the Speedgoats going forward. The shoe is made well and has Hoka durability, nfotunately it just does not fit the same as their other shoes fit me.

The shoes are perfectly comfortable and feel great walking in them. In terms of comfort and support I have no complaints. I am just disappointed in the quality. I have owned them for less than 6 months and have had to glue the tread back on in multiple places. For what they cost I expected a better build quality.

I was totally dissapointed with this pair of Hoka's. I heard great things about the comfort of Hoka's but these had no cushioning at all. Felt like walking on a board. The styling was great however great bluish grey w/ orange accents and I wanted to like them but in the end the stiffness of the shoe meant I needed to return them.

The footbed is not flat and the insoles are not dense enough to smooth out the imperfections making it feel like there is a ridge under the ball of the foot and that there is pressure on the outside of my foot. So I'm feeling pressure points under my feet on every step. It I swap the insoles with my Arahi's then the pressure points go away. I also found myself catching the additional cushion, that extension off the back of of the shoe, on rocks and steps; almost causing me to fall down a flight on stairs. I will say the upper appears like it will hold up much better than the new Anacapa 2 which basically came apart inside after one walk. And the toebox is narrow but has good height if you have a big toenail that angles up. Overall, both pairs of my Anacapas have been a fail. And since Hoka can't offer the nicer road shoe insoles I'm not keeping them. Hoka suggested I buy a pair of 3rd insoles for my already $155-180 shoes, no thanks! This wouldn't would just be a gamble.

I'm a professional who works outdoors. I originally purchased this shoe to wear on my "easy" field days when my biggest worry is being on my feet for long periods. I was looking for something breathable, supportive, comfortable, and with good traction. These seemed to check all the boxes. I've been trying to like them for 8 months now. They felt decent out of the box, but as soon as I hit the trail I found them to be mushy, unstable, and lacking in support. It became quickly became apparent they wouldn't be my trail shoes. I'll admit though, the aesthetic is good so I keep trying to find ways to wear them. I've tried swapping in a few different insoles, but to no avail. Even wearing casually around town, my feet feel fatigued from the moment I put them on. Somehow every mile feels like 3. At least I'm getting a workout. I recommend skipping these.

Switched to Hoka for running and walking shoes several years ago and absolutely love them; won't wear anything else! Wanted a Hoka shoe for hiking and am extremelky disappointed in both, the fit and comfort; it is completely different than the Challenger and the Clifton.

My spouse has a pair of these so I thought I'd try them. I was disappointed . I wear HOKA Bondis and Stinsons in size 13. The Anacapa 13s felt like 13.5 to 14 size. As soon as I put them on I realized that I would wear thru the top of the toe in a very short time. I also kept tripping on the extended heels. I returned the shoes.

Overall I like the shoe but unfortunately while hiking I ended up with a cut on bot feet. Where the tounge of the shoe hits my feet it causes it to rub very hard and scrape my toe.

They are too narrow and hurt the sides of my feet, even thought I was measured for a good fit. They run narrower than a normal D width.

Over the last several months I have bought three pairs of the BONDI 8'S. My feet are narrow and I need to tighten the shoestrings in the wide toe box in order to make them fit. The Anacapa Breeze Low shoestring holes are such that I cannot tighten the tow box. I have to return them. Customer service is great about handling returns and refunds!I I wish that HOKA would make the Bondi 8's in a little DARKER TAN like the Anacapa Breeze Low.

After several attempts to buy these shoes and after speaking with customer service person about a flaw in their purchasing system, I gave up and ordered shoes from a competitor which have worked out great.

I've been wearing Hoka's for a couple of years now since I had a heel injury, and they've been great. I wanted something with a more aggressive tread for a trip in a couple of months. Unfortunately, the Vibram sole on these was so much more firm than the regular Hoka sole that it hurt my feet to wear for more than 10 minutes. I tried various insoles, but nothing worked. I ended up having to go to a shoe store on vacation and get a different pair (still Hokas) and donated these Anacapas to a men's shelter. Expensive mistake, will only go to shoe stores in the future and not order online.
