Pocket size is ideal. Drawstring feels cheap. Drawstring is too thin.

Previous version were thicker material and held up better. These are thinner, almost see-thru. Not high quality at all.

If the t shirts were made this heavy, I'd love them. Good shorts for around the house.

I live in Hawaii. I can't actually give a fair review because I've been waiting almost a month and still don't them the shorts. Ridiculous. I know that things can be a bit delayed shipping to Hawaii, but I have never seen anything this bad. Definitely would not have ordered them if I had known.

I like them for the price, but they dont handle the wear and tear of my athletics. I like the durability of the premium short better for my Ultimate frisbee.

Shorts are longer than they used to be and I don't like them quite as good wish you'd start making them about 2 inches shorter again.

Shorts are way too big for a size L. I'm a 34 waist. Shorts are way too long and the material is heavier than shorts I purchased in the past. I would prefer cotton shorts without pockets.

These are very basic but functional. Somewhat cheap but what do you expect for the price. They hold up fairly well for light casual wear. They run large. Size large fits me at 6', 235 lbs. The inseam is about 2 inches below my knee so I have the tailor shorten them 2 inches.

I bought these to lounge around the house. While they are VERY soft and well made, they are way too long and I will be returning them.

All items were big in size then expected. Recommended ro order 1 size smaller.

I was disappointed with the shorts' appearance...was expecting to have the Russell logo printed on the bottom right as ALL of your ads depict, but that wasn't the case. I've even ordered additional pairs from other on-line retailers, with the same results, expecting the shorts would appear as advertised. VERY DISAPPOINTED...!!!

Apparently oxford is gray, so gray is not 100% cotton; it's mostly polyester. Also, I'm 5'11" and a large comes below the knee. Finally, package came with no return instructions.

Exactly the fabric(s) I was looking for, although I couldn't understand why the Oxford color was one fabric mix and Navy was something completely different. If there was any minus, it was the wimpy elastic waistband. I ordered Large for my two pairs, which according to the Russell size chart should cover 36" to 38". Don't like, when jogging, that I have to hold onto the drawstring to keep my shorts up.

Purchased these shorts in XL for my husband; shorts to replace their ancient, tattered predecessors. These have more polyester in the blend than the old ones, but overall quality is fine. However the XL was too big (old shorts also XL and still fit), but L would be too small. Tightening enough with drawstring leaves an uncomfortable wad against the stomach. Will be returning the new shorts and seeking replacements elsewhere, probably not till spring.

I give it a 3 stars cause shorts have changed. No longer all cotton, now also has polyester. Called customer service about it and she was very nice. Emailed me a return label a few days ago and already got my refund. She will have it updated on the website about the material content. I also was missing a pair of shorts too.

A little bit thinner material than purchases from past years.

Bought these because they are listed as 100% Cotton. They are a 50/50 Cotton poly blend. They're fine. I've kept them. But be aware that this listing is inaccurate.

Quality is good not great but fair for the price. Shipping was terribly slow. over two weeks to get my order. It would be nice to have known when I ordered how long it would take

Got these shorts to wear around the house. I probably wouldn't wear it to the gym, it doesn't seem breathable. Best way to put it is they're like thin sweatpants. The pockets aren't very deep either.

My husband & I have worn these cotton shorts for years they are great, comfortable & work great to work in the yard for working in the yard & running to the store. The fabric was thinner than in the past a big disappointment. But still will purchase them. Please bring the other fabric back. Jerry & Susan

The order that arrived; I found them to be larger than the size on the label, I have to say I am not pleased. They are also much thinner in material then my past orders.

Loop drawstring is a very poor design. Impossible to tie it tight enough to avoid loosing your shorts while active.

Shorts ended below my knees and waste was high (crotch to waste) so the legs could not be hemmed. This baggy below the knee shorts may be the style these days but definitely not to my liking.

I tried them on, they were too large. I will be returning them.

Size was WAY TOO BIG compared to Russell gym shorts I was replacing. Searching other brands now.
