I have a wide forefoot, narrow heel/ankle and low volume foot. I got these in hopes they would be more weather proof than my Altra Lone Peak All-Weather mids (which are not weatherproof at all)- and they are! These keep my feet so warm and dry. They look beautiful and have nice cushioning so I was so hopeful. I wore them for about 3 weeks, trying to get over the parts that don't work for me. The main problem is the seam between the cushions around the ankle- it is fine on my right foot but gives me a blister on the left so i have been bandaging my heel for weeks. I had to size up from 8.5 to 9 to get enough room in the forefoot but still my big toe rubs on something that I can't identify (the shoe is for sure long enough so it must be on the side/top of the boot in the toe area.

I love my Topo sneakers, but the hiking boots were stiff and hard in the ankle area. Too uncomfortable to keep.

For my foot there is too much material around the ankle. So in order to get a tight fit to support my ankle the fabric got bunched up and bruised both of my Achilles Tendons. Otherwise I liked the boot but they are sorta ugly. Friends call them "My Clown Boots".

My toes hit the top of boot. Heel too loose and foot doesnt feel secure. Can't tighten laces because of lock. Ankles hurt after a long walk or hike because the boots are rather stiff. Even got leg cramps. Disappointed. My second pair of Topos didn't turn out as comfortable as expected.

I have this style in the olive and it fits great. But I just bought the gray and there's a defect in the construction. The waterproof lining in the upper just over the toes was not sewn in flat; there's a big ripple/wrinkle that pushes down on the top of your toes. It's big enough to be visible as a bulge on the outside when they're on my feet. It's uncomfortable and annoying. Not acceptable in high-end shoes. I would assume that all the gray ones have this defect because it's present in both shoes, while the lining in my olive ones is perfectly flat and smooth. Returning. Too bad, because the gray is a nice color.

I usually love my topos, they are comfortable and fit very well, but I didn't get a chance to wear these until this spring (bought last year) and within 2 weeks of using them the fabric split at the toe box where the shoe flexes as you walk - on both boots in the same place.

I had the green and blue pair..I was eager to get them as I have other Topos for hiking (low cut, summer shoes and I love them, but I was too disappointed in these..toes butt up to end of shoes, and mostly the stiff collar rubbed my ankles and was very uncomfortable on a simple level one mile walk in the neighborhood. a larger size may have helped with the toes problem, but not ankle. I had high hopes for these, as other Top[os were great! But sadly come Monday I will have to initiate a return.

I use these boots for day hikes and shorter walks alongside Topo Ultraventure trail running trainers and other brand trail running trainers. I found the Topo Trail Venture 2 WP very comfortable straight out the box, the wide toe box is great and perfect for my feet, the lug pattern and grip is good and the Vibram sole is durable. However I found the waterproofing poor, even just walking through wet grass my feet would get wet (I ended up wearing waterproof socks if it was raining or the route would be wet). I found the level of waterproofing was much less than previous (different brand) hiking boots. The durability of the upper fabric is also poor, after under 300 miles both boots have split in the same place (where the 2 fabrics meet). For the price I would expect to get more miles out of these boots as I regularly get more miles out of trail trainers (both Topo and other brands).

Tight and uncomfortable. Speed laces are extremely difficult when double lacing. It's very painful to lace the shoes with arthritic hands.

I love all the Topo shoes I own and finally decided to try their hiking shoes for Black Friday. Unfortunately, they run a half size too small and despite being comfortable as a 9.5 in all my other Topo shoes, my toes completely butt up against the front of the shoe when purchasing the same size. Disappointing...

I bought this style because they were waterproof. I generally get the ultraventures for backpacking, but the location I was going was wetter than my normal locations. But they were not waterproof on the 4 days that I needed them to be, with or without rain pants, sometimes just walking through wet grass, etc. My socks were so wet they wrung out.

I bought these to go on a walking holiday in ireland. I needed something waterproof. They are super comfortable but sadly they are NOT waterproof. I complained, topo sent me a new pair for free, which was great, but even the new pair leaked horribly. I was wearing gaiters and waterproof pants so the water did not come from above. My toes were so wet I could wring about a half cup of water out of my socks after an hour in a downpour. Very disappointing.

I bought W-Trailventure 2 WP in Ocean/Blue, 5 stars for the shoe in Ocean/Blue, love them!
Then decided to buy also in the sale color (Ice/Coral). I saw that Ice/Coral was FINAL SALE but thought it was low risk as I had just purchased the same shoe in another color. However, the Ice/Coral does not fit the same as Ocean/Blue, it pinches at the top of the toe box where I have a small bunion. Tough Lesson Learned.

Just received these but I have to return them. The color options are just horrendous. I thought I could deal with the dark teal and green pair but as soon as I opened the box I started the return. I've heard great things about them so if the look doesn't bother you then great. Unfortunately, I am just a fan of neutrals especially when it comes to my outdoor gear and these are definitely not that.

Like many shoes advertised for wider feet, they are wide in the toe box but not the mid foot.

The shoe doesn't feel supportive on down hill hikes. I also keep getting tiny stones in the shoe. The shape is unique and I was hoping I would get used to it but the more I have worn the more I realize this shoe does nor work for me.

You need to make these in wide for women. They have everything going for them. Very disappointed. You are losing a large chunk of your market.

Your foot sits on top of this shoe so it moves forward. Yes I bought the correct size. Thumbs width space . If you're doing serious hiking with the downhills losing over 2000 think twice. These are very cushy best to use on a very rocky trail with minimal altitude gain. I was talked into these as my old targhee keens were out of date and I needed new technology and a lighter shoe. Well I'm going back to those as they have a cradle effect where your feet don't move forward. Oh and no help on exchange from the company so be aware. Only if you bought them from their website. I bought and was fitted in a small outdoor store.

I hike extensively and was looking for a boot with more toe room. Love how comfortable these are but was very disappointed that they are not waterproof as advertised in the description. I was only in wet grass, not even a creek crossing, and my toes got wet. Anyone that hikes in mountain regions or inclement weather knows that wet feet is a no go when you are out for hours.

I mainly use these shoes for winter hiking. I love the wide toe box and did not experience any blisters or pain during the break in period. However, after less than 100 miles the fabric on the toe split! Given the price of these shoes I expected them to last longer. Topo refused to compensate me because they are outside the 1 year warranty! Very disappointed!

I'm a longtime Topos wearer and I happily swear by their road and trail shoes. This boot has the usual great foot fit, but the lacing is slippery, and it's impossible to get and keep the correct snugness. The collart dug into the side of my leg and left a bruise after about a mile of easy downhill trail hiking. Returning this boot regretfully, sticking with the shoes. .

I bought Topo's Trailventure boots because I've been having foot issues. I'm an experienced hiker. Don't buy these boots if you will be hiking on rocky damp trails. These boots were constantly slipping out from under me. I fell once and had to be extremely careful the rest of the hike. My fellow hikers were alarmed at how my boots kept sliding and slipping where their boots were fine. Dangerous boots for serious hikers!!!

Had to give away to someone with small feet because the bunged up tongue material hit my foot in all the wrong places

These are very comfortable because of the wide toe box, and soft sole. No problems with fit. We're waterproof. Four stars for that. One star because the sole is separating on both boots each side!! I bought during the summer, and starting wearing in September. Noticed today the sole separation. Doesn't look like they were glued at all. The bottom was bonded to the top by the black sole at the edge. I paid a lot money for these to have this happen in four months. Beware.

I was looking forward to these WP boots for hiking this winter. I have a number of TOPO shoes and love them. I was so disappointed with these boots. WAY TOO SMALL. Ordered a half-size up from my regular size and could barely get my foot in the boot without a struggle, and my toes were crammed into the front. Not sure why so small when others have said fit is true to size. Not sure going up a 1/2 or full size would be enough. Very very disappointed. Loved the purple color but returned shoes.
