These shoes were comfortable right out of the box, no break in period needed. They have excellent grip for rocky or slippery surfaces. Good for all trails for the average hiker.

I was replacing an old pair of waterproof hiking shoes and chose these ones based mostly on the color. I just love them. And they really are waterproof. I hiked through a slot canyon with water and my feet were dry the whole 8 miles. Love these and the color.

I gave these 5 stars all around because I like them a lot. BUT in the many pairs of North Face shoes and boots I've owned over the years, this is the first time they've run small. I've ALWAYS worn 8.5 in North Face but am returning these for a size 9. The right shoe was definitely tighter than the left, which I've also never experienced with TNF, but both were too snug. I have bunions, high arches, and narrow heels. The design seems to work with my bunions. I do have to add half arch inserts as usual, but my heels don't slip and they are still comfortable. Hoping I don't get heel slippage with a larger size, but I'm going to try because they seems like great light hikers. I do worry though that the toe bumper appliques may start to peel because my bunions push that area out a bit and the bend hits there too. I guess we'll see...

This is my second pair of shoes from Northface. These hiking shoes have a great grip when we go down a slippery slope, definitely water proof and with great cushioning. Its not made wide so you have to maybe get a bigger sizing. Its a great pair for moderate hiking.

Love these for hiking or wearing around a city. Just left Venice Italy and regretted not having them with me. I need their waterproof protection and sturdy support/protection on the wet cobblestones. Were ideal when hiked in Yosemite or on trails closer to home. I wear them a lot, especially in the winter when i wear them instead of sneakers. These shoes are comfortable right out of the box! Wore my first pair out so had to buy new ones. I hope they never stop making these shoes!!

I purchased the VECTIV FUTURELIGHT shoes to help me accomplish my goal to hike the TMB trail this summer. I have been training in them for four months now and they are wonderful!! They are lightweight but sturdy and super comfortable on all types of terrain. I have no doubt that they will become a constant on all of my future hikes. A bonus is that they are cute too!

Week after I purchased these shoes I did a 3 day 60 mile trek and they held up!
Apart from a couple expected blisters because they were only a week old (fault on my part) I had no other discomfort.
The fit was perfect and the extra cushion on the bottom along with the curve, gave a feeling of being propelled forward as I walked. 10/10 recommend

This is my second pair. I feel stable walking on slippery rocks; they grip well. Shoes are comfortable. The only downside of their "grippiness" is that the tread wears more quickly than I thought it would.

I love these shoes. Unlike many of your customers, I am "of an age" and find them perfect for my needs. They are very lightweight which means many hours of comfort. They support my foot perfectly so no worries about stumbling. And the weatherproofing combined with breathability keep my feet warm, dry and not sweaty. They are perfect for travel. I may not be scaling mountains with these, but I feel like I can.
