The sleeves are sooooo looong. The material and workmanship is great, but the sleeves hang off my arms. Petite fit in future would be a great idea.

I think that this is a beautiful sweater and I do wear it. It is a tad large, but that gives room to wear a long sleeved T-shirt or turtleneck underneath. And you will need it because this is the roughest, heaviest yarn I have even seen. The sweater is very heavy - as in weight; like it is heavy to just pick up! The yarn feels like it is made from some kind of twine or cord. Very, very rough to touch and absolutely no elastic stretch to it. It does stretch out but doesn't go back in place. I got it in a really pretty marled teal and I wear a teal long sleeve under it. That makes a really pretty combination. Weirdly, the neck is kind of wide - not so wide that my bra shows, but too wide to look right in a heavy winter sweater (who wants to show half of your shoulders when it is cold enough to wear this heavy of a sweater). But all that said, I still wear it and it looks pretty with leggings - just way too rough and heavy yarn was used.

Ran large as I saw in many reviews but at 5'3" it was almost down to my knees. I didn't notice the zippers on the bottom in the photos and didn't read about them, but in such a beautiful classic sweater I thought they were quite strange, even if it wasn't huge on me I would have returned it due to the zippers. Quality knit, thick and gorgeous. I could totally see it on someone 5'8" who reads all the reviews and orders down a size.

Wanted to love this sweater since I saw it, ordered an XS which I was worried would be too small-it wasn't, it was huge! and incredibly thick+heavy. So I exchanged for a XXS. Fit better but the very thick knit+weight of yarn itself made me easily look 25lbs heavier. Have a tiny bump at the belly? Instantly 7mos pregnant. Too bad as the color is gorgeous and in theory (and on models) it looked great.

Too big need to return

Was excited to get this sweater in Mountain Red on a Daily Markdown for half price! It's a lovely color, very substantial cotton, and a nice tunic length to cover my bottom. However, the fit wasn't for me. The neckline (I knew it was a boat neck) looked really odd on a fisherman sweater, was somewhat large through the shoulders and bust (and I'm a 36DD), and then tapered to a more snug fit in the hips. Sadly, back it went.

I bought this sweater in the red; I LOVED the color. After reading the comments, I ordered a Small; it was tight for its length and looked pretty bad on me. So I returned it and ordered the Medium. The Medium fit okay but the arms were quite tight and I knew I could never layer it. Plus it felt stiff, heavy and uncomfortable and, once again, looked pretty bad. Okay, it wasn't the sweater for me! I returned it.

The sweater has some weight to it. Wish it was a bit lightweight. The sleeves were way long.

I wanted to like this sweater. It is very heavy yet somehow you can see through it with a white bra or tee shirt. The biggest problem I had with it was the neck opening. It is not proportioned properly and much too large. If you want a big heavy sweater, which I did, then you would want the neck opening to be smaller to keep your neck warm. Maybe you need a larger chest for this to work. I loved the look of the tunic length, but overall it just did not look right on me.

I've worn it a couple times now. It looks great. It's incredibly heavy. It's okay once it's on. The collar is like a boat neck so it's hard to find what to wear underneath. I probably should have sent it back

The sweater is beautiful. I love how it covers my rear end. It's warm and made from fine ingredients. Here are its two problems: Even though I am meticulous about washing instructions, it comes out ridiculously stiff. I find that pretty uncomfortable. Secondly, it's a very heavy sweater. I get tired just putting it on. I should have returned it, but I missed the time period for returns.

I found this sweater heavy but looks nice so I ordered it. Unfortunately, there's a hole right in the center of the chest which looks like a loose thread so I have to send it back:(

I originally bought this same sweater in the tri-colored version. Loved it so much wanted another. The fit is great - I bought to wear with leggings, may get smaller size if wanted to go with jeans. My issue is that the images on the site makes the sweater look more off-white - like a true fisherman knit sweater. But the sweater is more of a light brown/tan. I even called Customer Service and asked the rep what color she thought the sweater is based on the photo. She agreed it is off-white/cream colored. NOT. I kept the sweater but now am still on the hunt for the color I want.

I really wanted to love this sweater. I wanted something warm to wear over my leggings. First this sweater weighs a lot!! It's a good workout just walking around in it. I didn't know it had zippers on the side which are ok but not necessary. It looks cute on but it isn't really very warm. Despite all this I did keep it and do wear it. I would just caution to size down and prepare for one beefy sweater

Each season I nab a sale color and ultimately return. I love the heavy knit and color selections, but sizing is really odd. I'm a slender build and medium fit like an XXL. Small was better, but still very big all around and came above my navel with my arms extended upward. Xsmall seemed to be the best fit but took the sweater up a bit higher than tunic length. Even at the sale price of closer to $50 I sent it back because I know I just wouldn't be reaching for it. Extra gusset under the arm might be helpful in design.

Beautiful sweater, great color, but HUGE.

This sweater fit me in the shoulders and hips, but the waist was very blousy and shapeless. It doesn't taper in at the waist, it is a straight line down. I might have ordered a smaller size except at the sleeves were just barely long enough. I ordered a small, I am 5 foot 7 and 125 pounds and I wear a 36C bra. I will be returning this square shaped, shapeless sweater.

This was a gift, and I purchased a small for her, at her request, but it was too large and baggy and had to be returned.

The neck stretched from shoulder to shoulder. I returned it but would purchase again in a more crewneck style.

This sweater was too long and bulky for me. Perhaps if it came in a petite size it would have fit better. I also felt the material to be very heavy and not a soft cotton.

I think I may have ordered this sweater before and sent it back. It's too long and very heavy. Not comfortable at all. It looks gorgeous in the photo. Just not for me. Returned again.

I love the color (I bought the blue) and I really wanted to love this sweater but it was so big when I put it on it kind of falls off my shoulders so I'm constantly tugging it back up. If it came up a little higher or was a little tighter around the neck it would be perfect.

Received as a Christmas gift. Love the look of the tunic style with side zippers. Fits good in the body but I found the arms to be tight, and I actually have skinny arms. I thought the neckline was a little wide, so I wore a turtleneck under it so I wouldn't be cold.

The length was too long, it went to my knees. If it weren't for that I would have kept it because it is a beautiful color and fabric weave.
