I bought a pair, petite medium, about 5 weeks ago and found them ill-fitting. I am usually a true medium petite with L. L. Bean but wow - not this time. The sleeves were a bit too long, the pants - once washed - too short, the top just looked weird. (Stay with me here!) I returned them, much disappointed. Then I found the same pajamas being sold on eBay for much less and bought them. I decided the top had not been adjusted enough for petites. I took off the bottom button on the pajama top. That then allows easy access to the pockets. It also looks much better on a short person. Then I put a snap up above the top button to close the top at a higher point. The two changes REALLY helped! And easy to do. The pants are very roomy but get very very wrinkled - more than most flannel pj's I have - and that makes them look short - so will hang dry to see if that helps.

Love LLBean's women's pajamas. The fabric feels great and is substantial, and I love the pockets

Guess my preference is for a thicker flannel material.

They are warm but a little scratchy were too long: had to shorten them. I wear a pair every day

The fabric seems to be a bit thin and for the price I expected something that was more substantial.

I generally wear a size 10 and ordered a Med PJ flannel set. The bottoms fit great however the top was too small and a little short. I kept the order and will just wear the top as a coverup that does not need to be buttoned. Will order a Lg if ordered again.

. This pajama set had a very weird fit. I always do really well with a petite medium but not with these. The top was too long and looked silly. I even checked to make sure I had the right size. I didn't particularly love the plaid look either - I looked a little like a bulldozer. Disappointed - and sent them back.

I need to do a second review. About those horrible scratchy tags that irritate even if you cut them off, have you noticed that just about every other company now prints the info on the fabric instead? Looking through the reviews, I noticed Irma from Washington state said the same thing. I also noticed that Skeena Suz from Chicago says the top is smaller than the bottoms. So that confirms my complaint. Your PJ's are expensive but the quality does not match the price.

I loved these pajamas when I first got them. The pants were high waisted, deep pockets, long enough to cover my ankles. The shirt was fine - a bit tight in the shoulder area, but it worked. Well after only a year of wearing them in the colder season, I'm already sewing repairs. The flannel gets thin in spots and tears. Disappointing quality from L.L. Bean, but I'll still keep wearing them.

I'm 5'6" 125 lbs
Bottoms fit great (loose, relaxed)
I could use an extra inch at the shoulder and through the chest - and I don't have a large bust. 32C
I'm keeping them but definitely not 5 star

In my opinion the medium feels like a largewish I would've gotten a tall small. Sleeves are also awfully short to be with a tall pant. If someone has long legs they usually have long arms as well. At least they are soft.

I have the LLBean flannel nightgown as well in the Black Watch plaid and it has held up well over the years. I now have the pajamas in Black Watch. The nightgown is a medium petite and so are the PJ's.
However, the nightgown fits just fine. The PJ bottoms fit fine but the top is a little tight in the bust and a little short in the arms. I do not have an unusually big bust.
It seems the pajama top and bottom are two different sizes. Also those scratchy tags are horrible. If you cut them off you still have an irritating fragment. Print the info on the fabric and forget the tags!

Like the quality of the flannel pajamas but wish there were other color options than all the very masculine plaids - even solid navy would be nice. LL Bean is now making their women's flannel shirts in more feminine colors, and it's so nice to get a quality item that you feel good about wearing. I especially liked the flannel shirt I ordered with the name sienna, a rose color, that sold out right away, and I was unable to order another for a gift.

I have been wearing these for years and always happy. While they are still warm, fit true to size and feel great, my most recent pair sheds terribly--there is dark blue lint everywhere, even after 2 washes. Perhaps LL Bean is using lower quality fabric? Would not expect this from $80 pajamas. Hopefully this clears up after a few more washes but be prepared.

I bought these in the last year. I'm so disappointed that the flannel is pilling. I had a pair that lasted for years of mens and they never pilled. They became softer and softer. Our family has shopped at Beans for generations and I wish you'd stick to your quality.

I ordered my usual size M . Pants fit fine but top was gapping between buttons. I then ordered an L. They were huge on me and top still gapped. Buttons need to be closer together and more of them. Fabric is nice and comfy. But the tags are super scratchy. Love the pockets on the pants.

I ordered a small . I am 5'5" and 110 lbs. The material was thinner than I expected and it was cut very wide. The shoulders and waist fit fine but the arms, body and legs were half again my size. Very baggy.

One leg is a large plaid the other a small plaid. Same for the top, one side is big plaid and the other is small plaid. That is not how the item is shown, so it's pretty odd. Also, I always wear a small in LL bean but I found the top was tight across my chest and shoulders, which is not what you want for sleeping.

I've been eyeing these LL bean pajamas for awhile and after all the raving reviews decided to get a matching set with my husband. Upon arrival they were so soft and actually fit perfectly, very comfortable. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the quality of these flannel pajamas especially coming from LL Bean I was very surprised. After only two days of minimal wear there was a lot of pulling on the upper thigh area between the legs and minor pilling all over. I'm still happy I got them because they are very cute and love matching with my husband, they are cozy to wear around the house but I'm sad that they won't seem to last very long. In my opinion for the quality the price should not be what it is-too expensive.

I am 5 feet 7-1/2 inches tall and weigh 145 lbs. Based on the sizing chart, I ordered the flannel pajamas in a size medium in the tall length. The sleeves and the pants are way too long. I called customer service to ask the inseam length for the regular length. The regular inseam is 30 inches and the tall inseam is 34 inches. I apparently need a 32 inch inseam. Very disappointing! However, the pajamas are well made and the flannel has a nice weight and feel, so I guess I will keep them and have the sleeves and pants shortened. I'm not happy about spending the extra money and am wondering why they don't offer a medium tall length.

I was excited to get my first pair of flannel pjs - however, the quality of the flannel was very poor. I had to wash the pajamas four times to get rid of the excess lint from the fabric.

I liked the material, and it had a good weight to it. The pants were just too big, and the top was too small. I'm not big busted either. For some reason, a lot of companies make women's pajamas like that (pants huge and top small). I hated to send them back, but who wants to spend that much and only be able to comfortable sleep in the pants?

I was disappointed as they were very stiff and uncomfortable when I tried them on. I looked 15 lbs heavier than I am. I also didn't care for the unusual pattern of the plaid being different, not just front from back but also left and right sides. I sent them back immediately.

I would rate these 5 stars if they would stop putting tags all over the place. These are pajamas and no one wants uncomfortable tags everywhere! I had to remove them & they were sewn into the seam, so I had to sew the pants where the tags were removed. Please go tag-less!! They would be perfect without them!
