My husband gave me these pajamas in January 2023, and at first I absolutely loved them. They were incredibly comfortable and cutenice enough for overnight trips with friends and wearing around family. I even recommended them to others.
Unfortunately, after less than three years of regular wear, the fabric thinned dramatically in multiple areas and developed holes. The seat of the pants became so thin that it tore into a large hole, and a similar hole formed on the sleeve below the shoulder.
I brought the pajamas to a local LL Bean store, but I was told that only seam tears are considered when evaluating product quality issues. LL Bean prides itself on durable, long-lasting products, and these pajamas fall far short of the quality I expect from the brand.
Disappointed,

I am a long time dedicated LLBean customer. I was so looking forward to these pajamas. Unfortunately, the top is snug across the bust (Petite Large). The pants are way too long and I will need to have them hemmed. This is a first. The Petite sizes have ALWAYS fit me. Debating whether or not to keep them. The fabric is soft and the pattern is LLBean navy plaid which I love. Unsure what to do since the top is too small and the pants are too long!

I bought the medium long first and they were too long. I exchanged them for the regular medium. Before washing, the sleeves fit perfectly. I washed the set on tap cold and the sleeves shrank by about an inch. I'm 40, 5'7", 150 lbs. Now the sleeves are too short and I can't return them. The pants still fit, though they also shrank. There are also too many itchy tags on this set. I'm disappointed.

These pajamas have been on my wish list for 2 years. The Angus pattern was on sale plus I had a discount code so I decided that now was the time to purchase them. I usually wear an XL in Regular at LL Bean, but I ordered a 1X in Plus because I figured I would appreciate a roomier size for sleeping in. Unfortunately the pants are too long, and the fabric is kind of tight between the shoulder blades. So it isn't a very comfy set of pajamas. It just confuses me, because I have both size XL and 1X in flannel shirts and neither of them are tight like that. Just a bummer. Other than that, the material is good quality. Female, 5'5", 220 pounds, normally sizes XL/1X & 16/18.

Okay, so I am 5'8" tall and about 140 lbs. I tried the small and medium size of these pajamas in both tall and regular. IF I could have had a medium TALL top and small REGULAR bottoms, I would have had the perfect pj combo. Which is why L.L. Bean should really offer these items for purchase separately. The medium bottoms were way too bulky, so the medium set was out. The small top was way too tight across my shoulders, so the small set was out. For the price point, it's just too expensive to settle for something that only fits well on one half. Sigh.

The top was a little small and the bottoms were too big. I ordered a medium. I wear medium blouses but this jammie top was a little tight. The pants were about 3 inches too long so i hemmed them up. Im 5'8" so i ordered a tall but these were way too long. Also the pants were big and loose. I would prefer jammie pants that fit better. I dont feel it was worth the price I paid.

Why LL Bean would you tailor the arms of a pajama top? The armscye is high and tight. If you move to pick up something the top pulls across the back - not what you want for sleeping or lounging. I have thin arms and the sleeves felt restrictive. A word of warning the tall size is definitely long. I have a 34" inseam and these were longer than that by 3-4 inches although I imagine they will shrink. I may try again with a large regular. Fabric is a good weight and nice and soft.

I bought this after my old flannel pj bottoms from LL Bean began to disintegrate from use. The quality of the material has gone down significantly. I'm looking for warm but the material is very lightweight, not what flannel should be and not what it was at LL Bean years ago. I don't think LL Bean has any flannel PJs that are heavier. Also don't like the wide, wide legs and the long, long length of the pants. I'll be returning these.

If you have any kind of bust, these are not the pajamas for you. I only got so far to try on the top, and found the top buttons gapped at the bustline. I can only imagine what would happen if the top somehow ended up in the dryer. Most LL Bean products I have purchased in the past were known to be NOT form fitting. This remains a boxy top cut as large in the waist as the top of the chest. Love the pattern. Sorry did not work as looking for something generous and cozy.

I've had my flannel PJs for perhaps a couple of years, and while very comfortable, they are wearing thin much too quickly. The ends of the sleeves and pant legs are beginning to tatter and shred, and I'll soon have to ditch them for dust rags. I have flannel PJs from other companies that last for several more years than these.

I am generally pleased with these pajamas, but as with many articles of clothing that are separates my top and bottom don't always fit one standard size. So I would very much like to see LL Bean offer these kinds of clothing articles where we can order a different size for the tops and bottoms. Being only 5'2" tall sleeves are almost always too long and to get the bottoms to fit properly I always seem to need to hem the pants even in petite sizes.

First new pair in 4 years. Flannel quality has diminished. I can tell they will not last like the last pair.

I received these pajamas as a Christmas gift this year and loved them until I washed them. I was very careful and washed them in cold water on a gentle cycle and hung to dry. Now the length of the top is shorter and buttons on the chest are snug. Really disappointed.

I bought these pajamas because I had another pair that I picked up at a thrift store for $5.99 and I liked them. So I went to your website to buy a second pair. I don't like the color of the pj's that I bought (they are too dark, navy and purple), but they were the only color available in my size other than a too light pair or a red plaid pair that wasnt availavle for 3 months, and that wasn't guaranteed. After I received them, i really didn't like the color, so I thought I would exchange them for the red plaid ones, but when I went back to your website, they were no longer available. So I was disappointed. The pajamas are warm and comfortable. Yet, they don't make me too hot when I am under the covers in bed. The fit isn't ideal. I wear a 3x. The pajamas could be a little roomier, especially the shirt. The sleeves are so narrow, I have to unbutton the button at the wrist, then roll the sleeves up 3 times to get them above my elbow to wash my hands or wash out my equipment. They should be bigger. It is hard to roll the sleeves up. And I don't have really large arms that I am trying to squeeze into too small pajamas. The price? With shipping, they were about $80 (with a 10% off first order coupon). I had to put together the monetary gifts of 3 people to be able to buy them. Normally, I wouldn't even entertain paying that much for a pair of pajamas, but I had that one pair that I liked, so I wanted another pair so I could alternate between them. In general your prices are outrageous. There are other things I wish I could afford like a flannel shirt, duck boots or maybe a raincoat, but just don't have the money to spend that much on your merchandise. It is good quality merchandise, but just way overpriced. But, I am glad I have these 2 pairs of pajamas, and I am sure they will last a long time.

Super cozy, only complaint is the tags are very itchy and sewn right into the pajamas so impossible to remove. So, I have to wear a shirt underneath, which isn't ideal. Also the inner fabric of the collar pops inside out frequently - I know they are pajamas, but still looks sloppy. Quality and of LL Bean has overall gone down over the years.

I bought a pair, petite medium, about 5 weeks ago and found them ill-fitting. I am usually a true medium petite with L. L. Bean but wow - not this time. The sleeves were a bit too long, the pants - once washed - too short, the top just looked weird. (Stay with me here!) I returned them, much disappointed. Then I found the same pajamas being sold on eBay for much less and bought them. I decided the top had not been adjusted enough for petites. I took off the bottom button on the pajama top. That then allows easy access to the pockets. It also looks much better on a short person. Then I put a snap up above the top button to close the top at a higher point. The two changes REALLY helped! And easy to do. The pants are very roomy but get very very wrinkled - more than most flannel pj's I have - and that makes them look short - so will hang dry to see if that helps.

Love LLBean's women's pajamas. The fabric feels great and is substantial, and I love the pockets

The fabric seems to be a bit thin and for the price I expected something that was more substantial.

I generally wear a size 10 and ordered a Med PJ flannel set. The bottoms fit great however the top was too small and a little short. I kept the order and will just wear the top as a coverup that does not need to be buttoned. Will order a Lg if ordered again.

. This pajama set had a very weird fit. I always do really well with a petite medium but not with these. The top was too long and looked silly. I even checked to make sure I had the right size. I didn't particularly love the plaid look either - I looked a little like a bulldozer. Disappointed - and sent them back.

I need to do a second review. About those horrible scratchy tags that irritate even if you cut them off, have you noticed that just about every other company now prints the info on the fabric instead? Looking through the reviews, I noticed Irma from Washington state said the same thing. I also noticed that Skeena Suz from Chicago says the top is smaller than the bottoms. So that confirms my complaint. Your PJ's are expensive but the quality does not match the price.

I loved these pajamas when I first got them. The pants were high waisted, deep pockets, long enough to cover my ankles. The shirt was fine - a bit tight in the shoulder area, but it worked. Well after only a year of wearing them in the colder season, I'm already sewing repairs. The flannel gets thin in spots and tears. Disappointing quality from L.L. Bean, but I'll still keep wearing them.
