I normally take a small, but these were too large. Going to return and get an xtra small. LL Bean must be changing the manufacturer on their PJs. Lots of problems with fit this year.

I'm a lady living with my hubby and 4 sons. You know the deal, ladies, right?!? I'm always freezing, they're always too hot!! So, these jammies were my perfect Christmas gift!! So soft, cozy, warm yet breathable, comfortable, roomy AND have pockets And both elastic and drawstring waist (nice extra touch). LOVE! Even softer after washing. However, There is a con. Size runs Very large initially, before first time laundering, (considered returning). Washed on warm wash, low dryer setting and Now they've shrunken! Still fit, but disappointed. Still I absolutely love, like wearing a favorite, soft blanket.

The material is nice and well crafted. The green plaid color is very traditional, which I like. I was looking for ultra warm and even though this is warm, I ended up purchasing a Macy's fleece pjs that kept me warmer for a third of the price. So advice is if you are always cold, go for fleece. However these LLBean pjs is very nice. I hope that for the price, they will last for a long time, because after buying these, I did find very similar ones that are also well made. I trust LLBean's quality so I do hope it is worth it long run. I normally wear Small/4 everywhere else, and this size Small fits just right with a little room for comfort. The shoulders and sleeve length doesn't go too long and bother me. So for sleeping and lounging clothes, I like that it runs slightly larger. I am 5'2, so the pants legs do run a bit long. Hemming it is probably necessary if you don't want to trip. The waist fits perfectly. The pants have pockets, which is a great bonus for me! I am happy!

Great pjs for cold weather. One major problemlint balls at least after three washings appears on the floor and the clothing they were washed with.

Bought for my wife and she loves these. Haven't experienced any problems after 2 washings. Pants are slightly baggy with room in the hips that she likes

I LOVE LL Bean products, the fit isn't always available in my size and it is really a shame. This garment was soft and comfy. LOVE the Black Watch plaid... My problem was the fit at the arms. I was able to pull up the pants, but they were tight in the rear and I wouldn't have felt comfortable wearing either the top or bottom. I think that while this was a 3 x - female proportions might not have been an emphasis here. For someone my size, and female...it is more likely for a need of generous material at the bust, the arms, the thighs and derriere . I haven't checked if there are "Big and Tall" items in the mens department for the same item? I'd have to make adjustments to the pant, but at least I would have the size.

I really love these pajamas. My only dissatisfaction is that the flannel is not as thick as the pajamas I purchased 4-5 years ago. I also replaced the cord to tie waist with elastic. Other than the above I absolutely love my LL Bean pajamas and would highly recommend them for their quality and durability.

soft and comfy. ordered the red flannel pj. wanted it monogrammed. site came up with the suggestion of a blue monogram. BAD suggestion - cannot see the blue monogram on the red fabric

Nice but not as heavy or as roomy as I expected an LL Bean product to be. And the buttons on the pjs were so tiny as to actually be difficult to button. Surprised me, as I love LL Bean clothing. These, not as much.

I love the feel of the material these pajamas are made of. Sadly, I returned them because I was swimming in them and I think I was going to be too hot sleeping in them.

These pajamas are very soft and very warm. They are also roomy and non-restricting. For increased comfort I did the following: removed four scratchy labels from the inside the top and four scratchy labels from inside the pants. I added my own extra button and a thread loop closure at the neckline to prevent a cold neck. Missing from the pajamas: an extra button in case an existing button is lost and locker loops on the top and the pants. I recommend that locker loops be added on the outside of the neckline and waistband rather than inside where locker loops can cause skin irritation and uncomfortable lumps. Yes, I would purchase these pajamas again. I wish they were available in feminine prints or solid colors.

I liked everything about the PJ's but the shedding. I've never had flannel that had heavy shedding, I guess this will go away.

I bought these for my mother-in-law, who is cold year-round. She only wears flannel PJs, and they are difficult to find. She also prefers lighter colors, so more choices would have been nice. She was pleased with the fit and quality.

I love the pattern and feel of the material.The sizing could be better. I ordered a large because many reviews mentioned they ran large, but had to exchange for an x-large. The large bottoms fit pretty well but the top was a tinge small across the arms and chest. The x-large top is perfect, but now the pants are bigger than I'd like. It would be ideal to mix and match. At 5'9 the pants could be an inch or so longer, but surprisingly the length of the top is great.

First of all, I am a very short man, and have always had to order women's PJ's for them to fit. They are comfy and cozy.

*sigh* I have a tough time with these pjs. I need a medium regular on the top but a medium petite on the bottom. Problem is, you cannot buy them like that, and the petites are a little too short between the legs anyway. If the cut was less generous on the regular bottoms (less baggy) they'd be perfect. Very comfortable and soft.

Finally a pair of 100% cotton flannel, regular style PJs. Love the plaid. Very fashionable this season (in Europe at least). I like loose fitting jammies so I buy a larger size in pajamas than I do other clothes. It would have been nicer if the flannel was a bit thicker (they do thin out after washing & drying) and a bit less expensive.

I am pleased with these flannel PJs with one exception; they are supposed to be petite, but the inseam is much too long -- a 27" inseam would be much better. I had to pay to have them hemmed by several inches.

These PJs are true to size but do not measure up to the quality of fabric Bean has used in the past. They are very lightweight and shed many tiny balls of lint the first couple of times they are washed. I'm still picking these off other items washed with them so would recommend washing them separately at first.

These pajamas were just what I wanted for winter. The material is soft yet with enough thickness to feel cozy and warm. They are a little boxy but not bad. I love them

These are so soft and cozy - perfect for winters in Montana. They aren't the most flattering, but not exactly why I buy flannel pajamas. My only complaint is they did shrink in the first wash. I'm hoping they won't continue to do so!

I love my new jammies! They're my go-to outfit as soon as I get home from work! They're not quite as thick of flannel as I thought, but that is not a problem, as they are still warm. They wash up nicely too. My only complaint is that a small hole appeared in the leg seam on one side. I decided to just fix it myself instead of sending them back. I also thought the fit was a bit big. I typically am between a small and medium in size and the small is plenty big on me! But I like them baggy as they're meant to be comfy.

These PJs are going to get me through the winter perfectly warm. A few notes on the fit: The bottoms are really roomy, which I needed for my hips/thighs but they are a little long on me (I'm 5'8"). The top is roomy throughout the chest but tight on my hips so I need to have the bottom button unbuttoned.

These are the softest flannel pajamas I have ever purchased and comfortably warm. I purchased the XL and kudos to the manufacturer for not making gorilla length arms just because it's a larger size; the top is perfect. As others have said, the pants are way too big both in width (baggy hips/waist) and in the length (walking on bottoms). I will have to do some alterations - taking in the sides and shortening. These are so comfortable, it's worth the effort. Hope LL Bean can correct the sizing issues. Would also like to see tops and bottoms sold separately....as long as you don't price them out of sight.

Good quality, but this is a lighter flannel than I expected.
