Nightgown was true to size and roomy. But I was a little disappointed in the feel of the fabric. Was expecting a soft cotton but feels a little like a wool blend.

a great flannel night gown, did not shrink after laundry and very soft however the petite had to be hemmed about 3 1/2" in order to wear and not trip over the bottom, otherwise a terrific night gown

it's very nice but drags on the floor for me. if it was shorter I'd keep it. wish they had a petite plus.

My first LLBean nightgown was bought as a gift for me 20+ years ago. After I finally wore through the elbows and a couple of patches, I ordered a new one. Although I love this gown, I miss the original fabric and style. I cut the sleeves off the old one and made it short sleeved and still wear it until it gets too cold for short sleeves. I suspect the newer "model" will last just as long, I just prefer the original fabric and style and wish there was an option to purchase either one.

This nightgown runs very large. I am 5'3" tall but it is at least 6 or 8 inches too long. It also runs very large in the body portion but is wearable. Fortunately, I can sew and was able to shorten it to a suitable length so I didn't return it.

The flannel of this nightgown is exceptionally soft and cozy warm. Love-love; bought a second one. It didn't rate five stars, however, because the two tags at the back neckline are very scratchy. Also, after 3-4 washings (with mostly hang to dry), the fabric is starting to pill a bit. My workaround for the scratchy tags was to put two strips of Nexcare flexible clear tape over them. Surprisingly, the tape is still holding after the washings.

I could do without the bold plaid. I shrank about an inch in length washed in cold water and hung to dry. However, the quality of of the fabric is great, napped on both sides, all cotton, warm and cozy, just what I want on a cold New England winter evening.

This flannel nightgown is warm and fairly comfortable! The flannel material is a good weight, not the "thin" type of flannel at all and the texture is cozy! The length is perfect for me I'm a little over 5 ' tall and I like that it has pockets. My only complaint is that the top part of the sleeves could have been a little larger. If you twist and turn during the night like I do sometimes, the top part of the sleeves starts to get all tight and turns around my arm, so to speak.

Very soft fabric but when you wash them there is alot of lint in the washer and dryer!! Takes several washings to get rid of it.

I love these and enjoy the side pockets for the convenience of having a place for my phone when lounging or getting ready for bed. I bought these in 3 of the colors (red plaid, dress gordon & victoria) and the victoria wasn't as soft as the other 2. I tried using softener in the wash but it just never got as cozy and soft. No doubt a different flannel manufacturer of lower quality. I like my gowns a bit longer and softer and that one didn't cut it. I was VERY disappointed and should have returned it because they are on the high end price wise for a seasonal item.

Although I ordered my usual size of XL, this was way too big in length, arm length, and width, so I returned it and got the next smaller size which fits great and is incredibly soft after the first wash. The material thickness, sewing and overall workmanship is great! I'll probably order a second one. 1 star deducted for sizing mismatch.

Know from years of experience that these gowns vary in their fabric quality based on which color you choose. I got the green and while very soft, made a hot mess in my washer and dryer, and on my sheets. Be sure that you wash it at least once ALONE, if not twice! It's not that nice heavy woven cotton from before. The quality of the cotton has suffered. And the price has gone up. But yay they finally put the pockets I've been requesting for years. Also, there isn't as much fabric in the skirt. ALSO!! Check the size chart! I have a Medium from 10 years ago that still fits, and now I need an XL. (See lint catch from dryer in photo)

I have 4 of these gowns, in various sizes,. Last year I purchases a XL - 1X - 2X , and they all fit. and they were perfect. They are nice and soft. They are warm but I do not perspire in them. However, this year I purchased the 1X and the plaids do not match on the sides and the flannel is a bit scratchy. You would think that for $80 the plaids would match. I am considering sending the last one back because of matching and scratchy flannel. I will wash it to see if that is just a coating on the fabric, but that doesn't correct the horrid sides.

Biggest problem is the extremely scratchy, back of the neck size and product labels. They constantly cut into my neck making this great gown unbearable! I always have to use my seam ripper to remove them which opens the neck seam. Please, LL Bean, find a less annoying location for these labels.

Washed before use with a few other dark items. Red fuzz clumps on everything, and then all-over small rug and floor. In dryer entire screen, thick with red lint and inside of washer and dryer had to be wiped clean. A number of dryer cycles later not as bad. Don't know if there is anything you can do except a caution that this happens. I will keep item--hope it finishes losing lint eventually.

Soft and warm, and very confortable to lounge in! Great for winter in Colorado True to size. (I purchased an XL. Just wish it had the gathered multiple smocking on the front that the other three nightgowns I have bought from you, in years past, all had. Some of the surface fibers on the fabric are shedding a little, but then it hasn't been washed, yet. Would buy it again, and I wouod certainly reccomend it to a friend!

This is nightgown is fine, but not as excellent as the one purchased several years ago. This one has fewer pin tucks. The fabric is thinner. Pockets aren't necessary - that money could be put into additional pin tucks.

In my opinion, the width of the nightgown is on the large side. It's very well made, warm and cozy. I bought it for my 92 yr old mother, and needed to shorten the length to below her knees, so that she wouldn't trip over the length. She loves it.

This item is four stars for me but would likely fewer for others. I love everything about the style: buttons, pleats, pockets are wonderful, no collar works well for me. However, the thick, soft fabric pills and becomes rough immediately. I have other LLBean nightgowns which are years and years old. The fabric on those is still soft and smooth. Please improve your current flannel, LLBean.

I love this gown it's so soft and cozy. It would be a 5 out of 5 if it weren't for the Tags/Labels at the back of your neck. The tags scratching at my neck are totally annoying to point of ripping them out!
