Very comfortable always! It's been a repeatable welcome birthday gift for many of the last 20 years or so, always fun to either give or receive. I believe when we first began to select them, they were produced by another manufacturer with old-fashioned patterns and quality that lasted and lasted, but the recent ones seem to be just as well made, but perhaps more practical and contemporary (though not losing an appreciated earlier look and feel), now including pockets on the ones we've selected, that make them even more desirable.

The best flannel nightgown I've ever owned. Soft, well made, beautiful plaid pattern. Love it.

This is a well built item. The flannel is soft and warm and the sizing generous, yet very comfortable. Love it!

Great nightgown...my 2nd this season. Flannel is wonderful feeling and a nice weight. Ordered large as like my nightwear loose & comfortable and always afraid of shrinkage on cotton, but this washed well. Love the pockets.

THE STYLE OF THIS NIGHT GOWN HAS EVERYTHING! IT IS BEAUTIFULLY WARM AND ULTRA SOFT WITH LONG SLEEVE BUTTON CUFFS, AN ADJUSTABLE BUTTON NECK PLACKET, ANKLE LENGTH AND, YES, DEEP SIDE SEAM POCKETS. IT IS FULL ENOUGH THAT I DON'T GET TANGLED WHEN ROLLING OVER. THE GOWN EVEN HOLDS IN SOME OVERNIGHT WARMTH WHILE I GET INTO WOOL SOX AND START THE COFFEE. LL BEAN YOU READ MY DREAMS! THIS REVIEW CAME UP WITH A WATCH PLAID PHOTO, WHICH I HAVE ON BACK ORDER. I'M CURRENTLY RAVING ABOUT THE SALE PLAID WHICH I RECEIVED LAST WEEK. I WENT AHEAD WITH THE OUT-OF-SEASON SECOND ORDER TO BE SURE I DON'T MISS OUT. THE QUALITY OF THE GOWN IS SUCH THAT TWO WILL LAST MY LIFETIME (I'M 79). I recently had abdominal surgery and all my pajamas have pants, needed something that didn't irritate my incision. Love the night gown, was very soft right out of the box. Comfortable and warm.

Purchased this for my sister in Christ. She had hip surgery and needed a warm comfortable nightgown. She was more than pleased. It was perfect! Happy and satisfied!

Great nighty. I bought the blue plaid but I was tempted by the other colors available. Maybe my next purchase will be the red plaid. This would make a nice gift for Christmas. I bought my mother one at the same time. She was happy with hers as well.

I absolutely LOVE the LLBean nightgowns: cozy, warm, true to size, long lasting flannel. BUT! I exchanged my latest nightgown for a set of flannel PJs which are a toasty comfort on cooler nights.

Love this nightgown. I have worn one out, bought another one about 2 years ago (still in good shape) then decided to buy another since they are so comfortable and such good quality.

I'd wear this everywhere if that was allowed.

Warm and cozy, as expected but I missed that there are pockets. Not sure why they are needed in a night gown but they're nice.

Warm, soft and big so comfortable for sleeping. Would buy another if there were a second dark color print option.

I like my nightgowns loose so ordered the Medium since I was between sizes on the chart (small-med). I have a very average frame and the medium gown has lots of extra room (but not "over the top/send it back"). I probably would have been OK with the small size and still had enough extra room. Washed it inside out before wearing: now it's keeping me toasty as I write this review. Colors are deep & rich and the tailoring well done. The high quality flannel feels soft and cuddleworthy and the deep pockets are a most welcome feature. The overall length falls at my lower ankle; shoulders fit nicely, and sleeves are totally comfortable (armhole, wrist, and length: covers the wrist). I anticipate enjoying wearing this nightgown for MANY years!

Loved the new flannel nightgowns, longer length, and it has pockets. I was replacing three LL Bean nightgowns that I bought over 30 years ago. That are still in great condition.

I like this gown because it has pockets. The length of the gown goes to my ankles, providing good coverage of legs both between the covers and when I need to get up during the night. Sleeves likewise are long enough, even when they get pushed up when rolling in bed. I like that it doesn't have a collar because I have long hair and don't need a collar. Weight of fabric is good. I bought 2 because of these factors, particularly the collar design. One thing however -- I usually need to order a size larger in sleepwear because clothing in general is designed to be tight, but not with this gown. The XL swallowed me. My normal size (L in street clothes) was also correct for this gown. Very happy with it once I got the correct size for my body.

Two gowns were purchased for gifts to sisters. They love the gowns! The style, fabric, fit & quality exceed other gowns.

Wonderful nightgown, especially as we have 3 new inches of snow today.

I waited until I'd washed this nightgown to review it. As I hoped, the washing and drying caused the flannel to "full up" a bit, so it's now nice and soft and thick. This is made of a midweight cotton flannel brushed/napped on both sides. The tartan/plaid is woven, not printed, which I appreciate. XL is probably too large for me at this point, but my weight varies and I wanted something that wouldn't be too small even if it shrunk. It did shrink a little but it's still pretty big; I could have gone with a Large. I LOVE that it has pockets and button cuffs that let me roll up the sleeves. Good for sleeping and lounging; pretty much everything I want in a winter nightgown.

Good thick flannel, nice and warm.
