It's 100% cotton and will go with my blue jeans or red pants. It is just long enough and should be a good top to wear while taking a walk.

I'm in love with this flannel!! Soft, warm comfortable with rich colors. For me the fit is that of a regular
length shirt, not a tunic. Thanks LL Bean!

I can usually get a P and have it fit w/no issues. For some reason, this P the sleeves seemed shorter then what I've previously gotten. I loved the green color, but back it goes. I Feared washing this and having the sleeves shrink up even more as I've had this happen w/some P shirts I've gotten...
Quality is A-1 on this. Color green is vibrant. Too bad it didn't fit......

The material was medium/heavy and very very soft flannel. After washing, I noticed the sleeve length had shrunk! I don't have long arms, but to make this work, I now have to fold the sleeves to 3/4 length. I wear it around the house, so it's ok...

I bought this in a handsome blue/red/oatmeal plaid. I like the heavyweight flannel. Manufacturers no longer try to make the plaids match up on the underarm side seams so I took off a star. But I very much enjoy wearing this in cold weather.

It's a beautiful shirt, but the size Large was too wide in the shoulders, thereby making the arms too long for me.

Took me a few tries to find the correct size. Ended up with a petite XS and the regular small was absolutely swimming on me. I wanted it to be a bit big, but it was crazy huge and not flattering at all. Petite size much better. I have the blue and white checked and it sold out fast. So happy I grabbed one! Very comfy and cute!

I received this for Christmas and really love it! Its so soft and comfortable. It is a bit longer in the back, so it covers your rear, which I prefer. Nice weight- not thin, but not too heavy either, just right. I bought a couple of mock neck turtle necks to wear under it on the really cold days. I gave it a 4 rating instead of a 5 because I haven't washed it yet to see if it will shrink.

I love the softness of this shirt. It's perfect to wear over tees or turtlenecks. It is warm and comfortable. I live in FL so it's perfect for chilly days and nights. I bought the large checked shirt but was VERY disappointed that the checks at the side seams did not match up! To me, that shows the quality of the product. It's the first thing I look at when NOT purchasing online. I expected better because this is not a cheap item. In all fairness, this is the first striped/checked item I have purchased from LLBean that didn't line up. I did keep because of the other qualities but would not do so again.

I got one size smaller based on other reviews, and that worked great. Good fit and length in this shirt, can be open jacket or buttoned. Great quality, warm flannel. Brown plastic buttons on black and white shirt are cheap and awful, otherwise five star.

This is the thickest of the Bean flannels I ordered. I like to have different weight flannels for different weather/activities. This is soft and think. Nice cut, not too boxy - doesn't look like you borrowed your husbands shirt. Would like sleeves an inch or two longer. Wish plaids matched front to back so if that is important to you, either try to go to an actual store to find one that matches or expect to do several returns hoping to get lucky.

I really like the softness and color but did not like the stripes going prominently around my not svelt body! If they had been vertically oriented, for me I would have given the shirt 5 stars. Just a personal preference. Anyway I wouldn't have been comfortable wearing it, so reluctantly I returned it. As I said, the fabric and style are wonderful.

I have a lot of flannel from LLB. This fabric is super soft and a very nice weight. It's yard-dyed (of course) and looks terrific. I wish the side seams matched, but that's not a deal buster for me. The shirt is just really, really big. I guess LLB means it when they say "generous fit." I ordered my regular Bean size and was swimming in it. It was poofy all over...I almost felt like I was wearing a maternity top. Fabric, fabric everywhere! I did like the longer length although I wouldn't call it tunic length (it covered my behind, not hips). I returned it because I felt like a hot air balloon wearing it.

This is the first flannel shirt I've ever bought from LL Bean and I was surprised by how thick it was! I initially bought it to layer with a pullover, but I don't think it's going to ever get cool enough here in Alabama for both. It is a very soft material and a good length on me, although I wouldn't necessarily categorize it as tunic length. Exceeded my expectations!

Earlier I bought a Stewart-Victoria Scotch Plaid flannel shirt. I ordered a medium & returned it for a small (better fit for me). Loved it so much I decided I'd like another plaid shirt so I ordered the cream plaid shirt. (Plaid=Light reds/blue/yellow-gold) These shirts are great to take the chill off on cool days or to layer on colder days. The cream shirt seems to wrinkle just a bit more than the Stewart-Victoria after wearing but not bad enough to be undesirable. I love these shirts & next year I hope to buy the red plaid that sold out this year. When I checked "too large" I'm just saying that I'd usually take a medium but I didn't want it to be that loose of a fit. So I ordered a small. Someone else may like it a bit larger. I can wear a light mock turtleneck comfortably with the small-size shirt. The "wrinkling" is why I didn't give it 5 stars but I think wrinkling is the nature of flannel. No way they can make flannel perma press. ;-)

Really love the fabric. It is soft, warm and comfortable. The colors-Bright Blue Plaid and Dark Indigo- are just gorgeous!! With that being said, the problem with these is the cut. They are listed as "Relaxed Fit" yet fit almost too snugly in the upper arm area. The Bright Navy is cut smaller than the Dark Indigo, which indicates a lack of consistency in the cutting of the fabric. The body is not too bad but not as relaxed as they should be. L.L. Bean seems to be catering more to the thinner crowd with their fits and ignoring us larger ladies, at least in the last several years. I have clothes purchased from them years ago that fit very well, and when I ordered more of the same style the fit had been changed. I AM NOT "SLIGHTY FITTED" anywhere and don't appreciate a company catering to one demographic over another. I for one have shopped L.L. Bean for years because of their quality, classic well-fitting clothes that are "my style". Lately I have not been able to find nearly as many styles I am able to wear, even when I love the style, due to the change in cuts. Bean, bring back real fits for real women!!! Overall I like the shirts and wear them, and I do recommend them, just be aware of the fit problems.

This flannel is what I think all flannel should be like....soft and heavy and warm. I bought this thinking it could be worn with leggings but sadly it isn't any longer than my other flannel shirts. It doesn't quite cover my butt-tocks. The plaids don't match but to me that isn't a big deal. It definitely takes less fabric that way but not a classy look. My biggest grip with this shirt (not tunic) is the boldness of the plaid. I am slim but the stripes going around the shirt make me look like a barrel....not especially attractive. The plaid seems just a tad masculine for my taste....I have the red and black plaid...

I really love my new flannel but the only drawback is that it's not as thick as I thought it would be. I still layer with it, which works well and I really like the colors. I can dress it up with work pants or dress it down with jeans and both look great. I'll buy more.

Shirt is cozy and warm, primary reason for ordering it. I have purchased two flannel shirts from L L Bean this winter, and they are slightly different from one I purchased in-store last year. The one I purchased last year was not quite as fuzzy, but when washed did not require ironing. These two, I feel, need to be ironed after washing/drying before wearing--the only con of this shirt. I purchased medium hoping it would be large enough to layer, which it is. Colors are very pretty.

Love the fabric of this. Very soft and thick. Washed well. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it is miss named. LLBean calls it a tunic. It is not long enough for that designation. It is a flannel shirt. Tunics come to mid-thigh on me. This shirt barely reaches the top of my thigh.

Just received this today and I like it overall but wish it were a couple inches longer to wear with leggings etc. I was expecting something that was called a "tunic" to be a little longer...and I'm on the short side.

This flannel is super soft, feels wonderful against the skin. Fits well.To me, the best looking option was the blue plaid, but I own 2 blue/white lg buffalo plaid shirts, and didn't want a 3rd. I tried the emerald plaid bc I own 2 pr of dark green jeans that I don't own many tops that look good with them. I was dubious bc I wasn't wowed by this shirt's online appearance, but I hoped it would look better in person. Both green shades in the plaid are fine on their own, esp the darker green, but not attractive together in this plaid. This is such a nice shirt, Hope it is offered in more attractive colors/patterns next year. I'd recommend to someone who likes the color options.

The fabric of this shirt is a little different than Bean's other flannel shirts, but in a good way. It's soft and warm and just loose enough. No need to size up or down with this product; the fit is great! The sleeves are a tad shorter on this particular model, but it wasn't a problem for me in the long run. I've gotten many compliments on it so far.
