This has become my go to shirt. It is soft and warm and just looks great. It's cold here and this perfect.

I ordered this because it's organic cotton. Perhaps llBean could take a lead in offering organic clothing? It has a lovely fit. I'm small but I like plenty of room, so medium is perfect for me.

I have worn this shirt several times and really do like it. It is a relaxed fit with plenty of room to wear a pullover or Henley underneath. I think because it does run a little large that it could double as a jacket. The shirt is very warm and soft. I purchased the striped tunic as well. The 'bright navy' is approximately an inch shorter in the front and two inches shorter in the back in comparison to the striped tunic.

I chose the shirt because of the color which is great. The comfort and coziness are its best features for me. It washes very well and many times I hang it to dry as I do not use my dryer very much. It does not need ironing. I am very pleased with this shirt.

The fabric in this tunic is so thick, soft and warm. It'll keep me warm all winter. I got the fig color, which I love (although I've no idea why it's called fig, since it's a jewel-tone plaid with blue, turquoise, burgundy, and navy).

I bought the fig color, and LOVE the colors! I've had many compliments on how vibrant and great the colors are. (I wish Bean would have more bright, beautiful colors like this!) Yes, the shirt does run pretty large (I bought a medium --- usually buy large in an all-cotton "over shirt") but it has shrunk in the wash a little and now fits just right! It's a little heavier than most Bean flannels, which is good for "usually too cold" lady. Great purchase!

There are many kinds of flannel on the market, but this is my perfect flannel. Extremely soft and with some thickness for winter with corduroy or fleece leggings. The blue plaid is very pretty.

Found by accident, bought on a spree! Wore it for 3 days running. Real comfort with a turtleneck, but fine buttoned up. I keep it handy on cool mornings and evenings. Love the great blue blocks. Fabric is unique-- much lighter than it looks. A wardrobe winner in Massachusetts.

Love this shirt--so soft and thick and warm and love the navy blue buffalo check. I'm 5'5", 125 pounds, and the small is perfect. Definitely not a fitted look but a bit looser for total comfort. It was back ordered when I ordered it but didn't take very long to arrive. I've worn it several times and am so happy with my purchase.

Beautiful flannel. High quality, heavier then average flannel, very soft with a relaxed cut. The cut makes a relaxed and comfortable fit allowing for a thermal or long sleeve tee underneath in colder weather. Love it.

Soft, cozy, substantial LL Bean-quality flannel in a flattering shape and fit that is not mannish or overly feminine. Will be living in it all season.

Posting this review for the taller ladies. Does this shirt run a bit big? Yes, but it's meant to be a casual, classic flannel in a bit of an elevated style, heavier weight and longer length. I would say stick with your true size if you can't compromise on length especially sleeve length. If you want a shirt that is slimmer in the body I would not reccomend this one. This skirt looks great with a front tuck or left long on top of a skinnier pant. Personally I prefer this fabrication over the traditional bean flannel because I think the weight and the weave is more sophisticated. Own the blue and purchasing the green next.

I ordered a Petite XL and probably should have ordered a Petite L as it runs large.

I love this plaid shirt and another Scotch plaid shirt from L.L. Bean. It fits perfectly and the fabric is a beefy flannel, nice and warm. This is a high-quality flannel shirt.

This is the softest flannel I've ever had. Fits perfectly. Just love wearing it.

I'm very pleased with this flannel shirt. It has a wonderful feel, soft and inviting, and very "cuddly." And at last, our weather is turning cool enough to wear it - with a turtleneck underneath (just received) or without.

I love this flannel - the material is so soft and broken in feeling. I have the green & black colorway and love it. Great length too - not overly long even with the 'tunic' length.

This shirt fits true to size, is soft, and beautiful color...love it !

I have ultimately purchased every color in this shirt, even purchased two in the Fig, I love the color so much! The shirt is sized perfectly both in length, which comes to top of thighs, but also in the arms, which are actually NOT too short and the body is relaxed enough to wear another layer underneath without feeling snug. I am on the top end of 2X and most times have to "settle" for short sleeves or short body when I buy shirts from various vendors. This shirt is soft but substantial enough for cold weather. Quality product and good construction.

I have worn this flannel shirt three times. It is true to size, very soft, warm and comfortable. It has also been washed and dried four times and it did not shrink at all and still feels fabulous. I am very happy with it and am planning on getting another.

I love this shirt. It is a medium weight, soft, and comfy. I am 5' 9" and the shirt is a great length. I normally wear a small and the small fits perfectly, including the length of the sleeves. It looks just like the picture.

I ordered a size medium (usually wear a large) and it fit perfect. The flannel is incredibly soft, and thick. A high quality flannel for sure.
