This are very heavy sweatpants, great for colder weather. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but will keep for really cold days.

Wanted to love these but nope. Not thick cotton like a classic sweat as expected. For the price, I assumed they'd be built to last - these were too thin. They also seemed sized on the small size so I had to return them.

I would definitely size down on these unless your waist is huge. As many have mentioned the drawstring is the only way to keep these up. I do like the softness of the material and the slimmer leg.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
This style is supposed to be for women but fits like men’s sweats. Not flattering.

I ordered an xs regular. I'm 5'2", 100lbs, 50 years old. They were slightly too long and felt overall a bit baggy and frumpy for me. I had to really cinch the drawstring in at the waist, making the waist feel bunchy. The waistband is kind of large/tall/bulky. The material is really soft and I liked the charcoal heather color. The cinch leg opening was somewhat loose. The pockets were large enough to hold my iPhone X. I searched the internet for sweatpants with pockets that would work for me and was hoping these would work, but they slightly missed the mark. Hrrrmph. Another $6.50 in return costs down the drain.

I bought these last spring. A pair in blue and a pair in dark grey. Both large in case they shrink. I tried them on and what a difference. The grey larges fit like skinny jeans and are super short. The blue ones are true to size. Disappointed. I'd like to buy another pair but I don't trust the sizing.

I loved the coziness and warmth of the fabric, but pants did not fit correctly thru the rise. Unfortunately, had to return. I did not experience this fit issue when I ordered sweat pants in the past in another style.

I ordered petite since I am 5'2" but they were too short whereas other brands in petite the length fits nicely.

These are well made sweat pants, quite thick for cold days. However the sizing was not right for me. I normally take a medium in most everything, and I ordered medium according to the sizing chart. But the mediums were too baggy especially at the hips where the pockets added unflattering bulk. I also find the waistband a bit too broad and stiff. I had to pay the return shipping fee to get size small, which fit much better, however they are too short (I'm 5'5" and do not have long legs). The length is ok when standing, but ride up to lower calf when sitting. I do not want to have to pay ANOTHER shipping fee to return them again or get a smaller size. LL Bean does not have enough stores to warrant a shipping fee if you can't try something on and it's not right.

I had been wearing a pair of men's sweatpants (sized small) for many years. They were beginning to wear out in spots so I thought I would treat myself to a new pair. My waist measurement is about 28" so I purchased a small. I was excited when they arrived as they appeared to be very well made and the fabric was soft and smooth. I was shocked when I tried them on to find they were larger than the man's small sized pants I already had. I'm not going to try shrinking in the wash as they are 60 cotton/40 poly. I will have to go through the hassle of returning and hoping an XS will fit.

It's so hard to find cotton rich fabrics and these have a wonderful soft and cozy feel. I also love the oatmeal color, a nice change from endless grey. I'd have given these 5 stars but someone skimped on fabric and cut these 3" too short.

These pants are very relaxed fit and look too big. Good for activity but not fashion.

Feel great but the pockets are a bit short. I measured the depth against my old sweat pants and the pockets are a full inch shorter. So far nothing important has fallen out, but I avoid putting anything important in the short pockets.

The waist drawstring does not go completely around the waist. As a result, it cannot be tightened for a small waist. It's a shortcut for show, it has little function. Otherwise the pants are a what I look for in swestpants.

I returned these as the size Large was HUGE! Seemed like nice sweats but even on sale not worth it.

These sweatpants were great in all ways except one: the waist was huge on me! I like the material, pockets, length, and fit, but I don't think I can keep them due to the large waist size; they will just fall down. The drawstring is of no use to tighten up the waist either..there's just too much material to go around. Darn.

The petite length is very short. I'm 5'1" and they end at top of my ankle. Waist is comfy, tie works well. Material on thinner side but soft & seems durable. Washes well in cold water & dried in low heat - no shrinkage. Size small fits with plenty of room in seat & legs.

It's a gift. For the money, should have ankle trim, not elastic.

This is a light sweat pant. Perfect for the 40's and high 30's. I've purchased heavier sweat pants from LLBean before that are more suited to New England winters. The pockets are not as deep, if you have a larger smartphone, it could fall out. The fuzzy lining of the pants began to shed after the first wash and continue to fall off. Fit was good and snug.

I really liked these sweatpants; soft, comfortable but, unfortunately, they were a bit too small in the waist. I went by other reviews that said they ran a little large, so I ordered a medium hoping they would fit. They are fine everywhere except in the waist. A large will probably be too big overall, so I will be returning these.

These are okay but calling them "1912 sweatpants" is a real stretch. They are NOT really thick and cozy like old style all-cotton (or nearly all) sweats. These are lighter weight and the brushed mixed poly-cotton (40% poly!) is not nearly as comfortable, and I doubt they will hold up as well.
They were a bit long and also big in the waist as well as in the elastic around the ankles so I washed (cold) and put in dryer. They shrunk quite a bit and are quite fitted now (a bit too much) and just barely long enough so I hope they don't shrink anymore).
I so wish Bean would bring back sweatpants with more cotton. Seems so many of the old reliable products are changing but not for the better, and I am having to send way too many things back (never used to, but that was years ago; quality has been going downhil the last few years, very disappointing). I had always been willing to pay more for Bean products due to the quality but these days it's often not better than much cheaper products elsewhere. The customer service is still great though, so I keep ordering (though not nearly as much as before) and put up with sending back what I need to.

Had hoped these would be the same as the last sweatpants I purchased form LLBean - 1 or 2 years ago.
But ... no back pockets, smaller front pockets, elastic at bottom rather than ribbing - too loose.
Disappointed as it seems corners have been cut on these classic sweat pants.

I'm not sure how tight everyone likes to wear their sweatpants and if other "older" people like me actually like these low waisted styles of pants. I'm 5'3" and 109 pounds. That height and weight is well within the small size category. These sweat pants are too short, too tight everywhere, and too low waisted. Lately, it seems like I just send back everything I order for myself from LL Bean. These sweat pants were back in the delivery envelope within five minutes of the time I opened it. That's how uncomfortable these sweat pants are. It often seems like all Bean is now emphasizing quantity of items available as opposed to quality. I wish LL Bean would bring back classic quality, styles, and sizes.
