After a back injury, I cannot tolerate the elastic bands in the PJ's. They bunch up, not like sweat pants or regular pants. So I am removing the elastic band. So disappointing. I can't be alone in this problem with PJ bottoms.

I've been a Beaner for years and years! I order Sleepwear every year for myself and others. I count on comfort and good fit. Rarely, if ever do I find women's sleepwear on sale.
Trust me, I don't need one more item to sleep in. This pair of cute PJ's were on the daily markdown. I just had to have.
My first complaint is that in order to submit a review I have to click on a circle "How did it fit" ? There is no circle for Lousy. The top is too small and the pants are too big! Gigantic. I ordered petite because my height keeps shrinking. The length was perfect. I am not a fashion icon but seriously. . .
The petite top should have shorter length arms and length and it did. Two points in favor. I am a large on top in Bean clothing. The top was not roomy at all. One out of two clothing items are returned. Something's gone wrong at LLBean. I almost wish the markdowns were not motivations for my purchases. These are going back. That makes two in a row. Should I go for three?

Okay. Inside of flannel pants uncomfortable. No pockets.Top comfortable. Pay the extra money for the extremely comfortable PJ that LLBean sells

The pants was too long for me, I had to hem it up about 4". I didn't like that the pants was tapered in at the bottom, I prefer it straight cut so I can hem up the pant easier without easing it in to hem.

The bottoms are really stiff. I have washed them several times and they have hardly softened. I am surprised since they are 100% cotton and everything I have purchased from llbean has been great.

I swim in the PJ's. I should have ordered Petite XL because I'm only 5ft..3in. I like a larger top and that's why I ordered the XL. It's too much of a hassle to return and I needed them now because the weather has turned so cold. I roll up the pant legs or I would trip and fall if I didn't. They certainly aren't worth a $59 price tag.

shirt fits fine, but reviews say it is going to shrink, and the pants won't shrink enough to make them wearable. they are just silly big and I am returning the set

The top fit ok, the bottoms were huge! Way to long, way to big around...I fit into one pant leg. My 5'11'' 170lb husband tried the bottoms; he had room to spare around waist and seat, and leg came to his ankle.

The S size fits even though normally I wear a medium. I'm a B cup and the top fits okay but wouldn't if I were bigger. I bought in light blue and it's a pretty blue. Like others' comments, the top seems smaller sized than the pants. Though a small, the pants are roomy on me. My dislike of this set is the flannel bottoms. The flannel is rough and stiff, not soft, even after I washed them. The top is a soft cotton knit. I wouldn't buy a second pair of these pajamas because of the rough flannel.

I'm so happy to find PJs with long enough legs, but, in truth, these are too long, although a needle and thread will take care of that. I find the bottoms overall too large, and I sure wish they had pockets! I washed the PJs in cold water the first time, so before hemming the bottoms, I'm going to give them a run in hot water. The bottoms are a thick flannel (printed, not woven), and rather stiff feeling. I'm hoping they will soften with multiple washings. The top is a nice weight knit, but it is much more fitted than the bottoms. It is also navy blue. I was expecting something more on the purple side to go with the lavender plaid. Overall, I'm sure I will wear and enjoy these PJs for several winters to come, but they are definitely not one of those things that I am loving on day one!

I like the PJs, and the top fit great (I'm a size 20). However, the pants were HUGE and the legs were like balloons. I just spent 2 hours altering the width and shortening the legs (I usually wear 30" inseam). Won't be purchasing any more as I don't need another job!

They washed up okay and look decent. I am disappointed that they are not a soft flannel but did not notice any shrinkage on moderate settings. I have to admit to buying a couple pair of pj's from Target that are soft and awesome and half the price. Softness, or lack of it in this product was a major decision to check other sources.

The top is very nice but the flannel pants are still stiff after many washings. Flannel should be soft.

Purchased next size larger than normal due to dryer shrinkage. Now fit fine. Disappointed in quality for the price, bottoms were made of thin, printed material rather than having a woven design. Top very comfortable. Felt it was way overpriced for value received. Would not order again.

Warm and very soft but pants huge, kept riding up the legs a night, chilly
Also sleeves stretched after a few washings,,,,, i tape them closed now so they dont come up to elbows.... I usually love LL Bean but these were not worth the cost.
Bought a pair of Alfani and they fit great... much better

Good quality, but the top was too small and the bottoms were really really baggy. At least a size too big.

these pajamas are hefty and appear sturdy. The flannel used in the bottoms and as trim on the top is very scratchy, though. Not a cosy set of pajamas, and not up to LL Bean's usual standards.

Love the top, but the pants are ridiculously huge. Like the set was made for two different people. I was able to adjust them by taking 4" off the width of each pant leg and they're still very roomy. I didn't want to exchange for a smaller size because the top fit perfectly.
Unfortunately, if you don't sew (or don't want to pay $55 and have to rebuild the pants), I can't recommend these. Too bad, because they're nice otherwise. And what a huge waste of fabric.

I love the colors and the top fits perfectly. The bottoms on the other hand are so big in the legs the look like clown pants

Material not as soft as expected. Fit: size small fit me more like Xsmall. Plan to return and decided to try pj bottoms that I will use with various tops on hand.

Ordered a petite fit for my wife as a Christmas present. Nice cozy feel, but the top was a bit short, while the pants were way long for a petite fit person. Perhaps the wrong pants were coupled with the set? Pants looked to fit somebody in the 5'8" range. So unfortunately the set has to go back.

I ordered an XL as I normally would. The pants were pretty good but the top was significantly too small. I reordered the 1X, the top was OK (hopefully it won't shrink) and the pants were quite large (as I expected) but not in proportion to the top! They were HUGE. oh well, my fault.

Bought these PJ's to lounge around in...I thought the material would be a lot softer...the top was a bit snug...I bought XL so it would be roomy and comfy....these PJ's did not meet my satisfaction, therefore I returned them
