I ordered a size S for my (size small daughter). I then read more of the reviews and saw that many people said they ran large, so I also ordered size XS so I'd hopefully have something appropriate for Christmas. Even the XS was HUGE on her, so they are both going back. The XS had a waist size of at least 28 inches un-stretched, which is not what the size chart says.

I bought these flannel pants to keep my legs warm, and they do the job well. My complaint is the cut of them. They ride up in the crotch in the back and are uncomfortable to wear.

Pros: Cute pattern Cons: Fabric wasn't as soft and warm as I would have liked for PJs, no "give" to the fabric for lounging on the couch, and the pockets were placed so far back that it felt awkward to use them (sewing pattern error?). Ended up returning.

I ordered the navy flannel pj pants in the size that I wear for all flannel pants. They were much too large so I ordered a smaller size which was fine. Unfortunately, I had to pay the return fee for the first pair even though I ordered a total of 4 items & returned 1. Also, the navy color bleeds - A LOT. Beware. I love the LL Bean shirts that I have, but unfortunately because of this experience I will not order any type of item that I don't know for certain will fit.

These pajamas pants are not soft at all. They are also not very warm - not at all what I expected of flannel pajama pants. The design is adorable, but not the quality I expected. I ended up returning them.

I have these loungers in white with red dogs. The fabric is completely different. The blue one are very stiff, even after several washings. They also are lint magnets. So disappointed. Not usual Bean standard.

I like my clothes soft and loose. These pants are not soft no matter how often or how much I wash them. They are also cut too wide at the hips and too long in the leg. Do not like and would not recommend these sleep pants. I would recommend sleep pants Item: TA503257 instead. Softer material, lighter weight, slimmer fit, brushed flannel inside and out.

Material is so stiff, even after washing. Just not cozy at all.

I got these for Christmas (7 months ago) from my husband and I have washed them about 20+ times and they still won't soften up. They are stiff and scratchy. I have only worn them one time and I don't think that I can ever wear them again due to them being so uncomfortable. I have many other pairs of LL Bean flannel pj's that I love but these are made differently. Sad that these are not the same quality.

I've bought LLBean flannel pj's for years and been very happy. These are not the same quality. I washed these 3 times and still they were itchy. Need new management because the management must be cutting corners for profit!

Was surprised when I felt the material...usually a safe buy, but these were just too itchy. Had to return. It was true to size.

These were too small and they are really thick fabric. The sheets wad up around them. I'm returning them.

I bought two pairs of these pajama pants...one royal red and one night sky fair isle. The royal red was generously sized, as if it were one size too big, and the night sky fair isle was extremely tight, as if it were one size too small. Both were petite XL. Just beware that there is a lack of quality in terms of consistent sizing...disappointing.

I bought this product in the navy blue dog print, hoping that I would like it as much as I love my red and black plaid flannel pajama pants; but that wasn't to be. This pair is thinner, not as relaxed fitting, but most importantly they are a bit scratchy. And for an individual with fibromyalgia, the scratchy feeling cloth isn't comfortable at all. I'm considering returning them because of these cons as well.

Bought the cute trees pattern which I like, but am really disappointed with the flannel, it is too thin. Was expecting a thicker, warmer weight for what I paid.

I bought the flannel pj bottoms, size petite small (I'm 5'1") and they were still too long and very baggy. The flannel was soft but way too large fit.

These pants run very large

I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the "cardboard" flannel in the red snowflake pajama pants. I thought they would soften up after washing but they did not. Not what I expect as a very long time Bean shopper. I returned them for credit. I own the red buffalo check and they are nice and soft as we want our pajamas to be.

I was very excited for these, especially with so many great reviews, but I found these flannel pants to be extremely odd in sizing. I am 5'1" and 140lbs (not exactly slender!) but the Medium Petite and Small Petite were both comically enormous on me. I finally purchased the XS Petite, but will have to send these back too unfortunately. The legs are extremely short (I've never had petite length pants stop above my ankles before--I'm quite short) and the "seat" part of the pants is enormous. Even if I yank the waistband up above my bellybutton, the inseam starts several inches down my thigh. Very strange. Too bad, I was excited for these. However, if you can find a size that works for you, the dog print is absolutely adorable and I was pleasantly surprised that the white is truly opaque.

I purchased both the bottoms and the top. The top does not fit at all, not true to size. After washing a couple of times the pants have shrunk in length and are way above my ankles, major bagginess in the crotch area and are still stiff. However I will say that they are very warm. Very Disappointed after spending $100.00 on pajamas, was a treat for myself. Was really looking forward to something comfy and they are anything but. I will not be purchasing anything like this from LL Bean again!

Flannel isn't soft and heavy feeling very disappointed. Regular size always fits but too long which I can live with but poor quality flannel. So much money for an uncomfortable pajama bottom.

Ordered on 12/05 (in stock then) for delivery on 12/12 -- when checking on line order status on the 12th it said order COMPLETE. Did the on-line chat thing and got disconnected. Then called Customer Service and found out the whole style options are not in stock. So now with nothing available and delivery options minimal I have LOST a gift option. Terrible communication.

Women's medium says it is for pant sizes 8-10, which is what I wear. This women's medium fit my 6'2" husband perfectly and hung off my 5'4" frame like nobody's business. super bummed!
