I am very pleased with this product. The fit was great, not too tight. I felt that it would suit my needs as a light windbreaker, rain jacket. I think that it will last for a good while.

I had a LLBean anorak that's about 40 years old and I loved it.!! Unfortunately the elastic around the wrist and some seams were tearing, all from normal wear and 40 years!! I was on the hunt for a replacement. My daughter got me this for Christmas. Only con was the color selections were"typical." My last anorak was a pretty blue color. I purchased a man's L because of availability and I got it in navy. I like it a bit loose to wear a sweater when needed. I am looking forward to many years of use.

I am a female and bought a men's medium for room to wear over layers when we cross county ski and hike. My husband and I have worn these anoraks (except once when LL Bean changed the design, since have gone back to the original) for over 20 some years now. These are perfect for us as we use the kangaroo pockets like a little fanny pack and do not need then to carry packs; they are great outdoors with good layers underneath and keep fairly dry unless it is a downpour. We will continue to buy these as they wear out or the zippers go! Love it, love it , love it!

Great layer for hiking (or walking the dog). Works really well as a wind shell, alone, or over my poly-fill jacket or vest. As others have noted, hood is a little large, but works for me as I'm always wearing a cap. The fabric is soft to the touch, and pockets still accessible when my pack (with waist belt), is on. The cut allows for a great range of motion when I'm scrambling over rocks. The deep zipper helps vent when things warm up, and it's easy on and off. Good piece of gear.

We're having a cold winter here in Central Florida, I mean its gotten down into the 40's here a couple of times already. This is the perfect jacket for this kind of weather. Light strong and looks great. I have been looking for a new anorak for a couple of years and this is the one. I have worn it almost every day.

Much lighter than I expected...in a good way. The fabric is soft & supple. Feels like cotton, though it is nylon...or supplex? Packs down small, but looks great when you pull it out. So stylish. You have to be into pull overs to really appreciate this. If zip on jackets are your thing, you might find this cumbersome to put on & off. But if style & form of function are your bag, this is for you. One tip. This works great with a light fleece & still has a fitted look. If you want to layer up with a heavy fleece, don't be afraid to size up. I'm getting another in XXL. Besides...now they have GREEN!

This jacket is prefect for cool mornings or nights. It's easy to pack and takes up little space. It's perfect for a fall walk in the woods or around town.

I bought the blue/gray combo in this jacket and it is so perfect. It is the perfect weight for fall days or chilly summer nights. I have the insulated one, too, and I wanted a similar jacket for layering for dog walks and paddling. I love the big pocket and I don't mind that it is a pullover. It is my go to for any outside activity that does not include snow. I wish it came in pretty plaids. But it is both cute and functional.

this is my second anorak, first one (close to 18 years old-still in great shape) comfortable, easy to put on, just the right material and warmth for cool mornings with walks with the dogs. Highly recommended

Have worn it a few times, I love it, it's better than I expected, I normally have an issue with how LL Bean fits me bc I am slim, but not this, perfect fit. Would recommend.

First off I ordered the XL long. Fit is true to size. This is a great lightweight windbreaker that is water resistant and is perfect for spring or fall hiking or when it looks like rain. Stores in its own pocket so it is small and fits easily in your pack. Love it.

I bought one maybe 20 yrs ago and it was awesome. It was perfect for most of winter in Texas and even the few times I took it with me to the Oregon coast. Only problem is I grew and it fit more snug but it was still in great condition last I wore it, with it being about 18 yrs old. Sadly I lost absolutely all my possessions when life got upside down and my prized anorak went with it :( but I WILL get another because nothing beats the comfort and use I enjoyed so much, and it lasted like a champ.

Light weight shell. Great kangaroo pocket and a generous zipped pouch pocket. Perfect for me and beach walks. Water repellent enough for fog drizzle and blocking the wind. Goes over a sweatshirt easily.

This "jacket" is perfect for Spring in SoCal, I like to keep it in the backseat or trunk of my car for those days with a light evening breeze.
10/10!

I've been looking all over for a windshirt/breaker that was light and durable as well. This seems like the perfect balance between the two. It repels some water and is completely windproof. I love the real hood for good coverage when you need it (why else use a hood??). If it gets in you eyes just wear a brimmed hat. The kelp green color is what initially attracted me to this jacket since I use it for hunting primarily and really like the earth tones over flash. It also makes a great camp pillow when its stuffed in its pocket pouch. I sure hope this color other earth tones are options for the future I seem to be seeing it less and less.

This is a great all around piece of outdoor equipment. I have an old one I purchased at an LL Bean Outlet. It's still great, but the color is a strange sort of pumpkin. I used it on two Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) trips. Perfect to cut the wind but still be breathable. I wouldn't be without it. Now, I have a black colored windshirt in tall; I don't have to look like "The Great Pumpkin" in public. This is a valued piece of equipment.

Not sure what else to say that hasn't been said. The fit for me is perfect, and it looks great. Functions great in the rain. One thing I didn't expect was the pocket space behind the big front pouch. My favorite rain jacket. I can see some people might not like that it's not a full zippered jacket but I love it. Would buy again for sure.
