I bought this for my son to replace the one that had been "lost/stolen" at college. My son loves his Anorak! It's perfect for any weather, even light rain. It's durable (it stands up to the life of a collegian!) and easily washed (by me, not sure if ever washes it - college life). I highly recommend this Anorak.

Love them I have 2. Black and green. Perfect for layering. I use them all four seasons with a light shirt, wool, or down.

This is the third Bean anorak I have bought in recent years. I am so glad I was able to get this green one before they ran out. I love them all, and look forward to wearing them regularly this winter (hiking, xc skiing, snowshoeing).
Only complaint... not too happy about the thin black elastic cord and the tiny clamps. Previous Bean anoraks, which I wore for many years, had a thicker black waist-strap with a larger and better designed clamping doodad. Today's little cord seems flimsy and hard to handle for someone with large hands, or someone wearing ski gloves.

Ordered a medium tall despite being 5'10, a 39 inch chest with 32/33 arms. I thought the fit on the model looked dorky so I opted for the longer length. I was nervous about how it would fit, but it's perfect. It fits well over a hoodie and looks fine with just a t-shirt underneath without looking sloppy/too baggy yet still allowing for full range of motion. The sleeves are a perfect length for 32/33 arms. The coat itself is 23inches pit to pit and 29.5 inches long.
Can't comment on the functionality yet, but it appears to be of good quality for a light outer layer. Hope this helps someone else grappling with sizing issues.

This is the third one of these I've owned going back to 1991. They are a perfect weight for spring and fall and last a LOOOOOOONG time.

Very handy for walking dog in light rain. The orange color is really nice. Plenty of pocket space, does well in light rain, have not had it on in heavy rain (think it would not be enough). Fairly breathable, so I don't overheat when wearing.

I used to have one many years ago that I had had for probably 10-15 years at least and was my goto for quite a number of years but I lost possession of it a few years back :(. In central Texas we don't get too terribly cold, although the 15" of snow total and almost 0 this past winter was the exception, but I've wanted another anorak and this fits the bill. I received this just in time for 50 temps and a cold rain, and it worked perfectly. Although I did realize I need something a bit more underneath probably. The one I used to have though seemed a bit heavier/thicker than this. This one seems to be pretty thin. I had used my old one last time I went to the Oregon Coast and it was perfect for late May when it can still be a tad on the nippy side. This one will due but I really wish I still had my old one. It was a medium and starting to fit tight, but the XL I got this time I was leary of ordering due to it possibly being too big but it seems I was wrong. There is some extra space in it for a hoodie or sweater just incase but otherwise I tend to prefer something that isn't snug. I want some breathing room and this has it.

Bought this jacket for my husband for his birthday and it is now his "go-to" jacket. He loves the front zipper pouch and comfortable fit! Swing and a home run!

This is a very nice jacket for fall. It is casually styled but fits well and looks good. The fabric is light weight but windproof. An added advantage is that it is available in Tall.

Very versatile. Light and handy for those circumstances when uncertain weather makes it tricky to decide if you should bring another layer along. Wind breaking is very helpful on breezy cool days.

I like the long zipper...and the front pocket with zipper. Not always a fan of hoods, but this seems comfortable. The fabric is perfect for wind/rain and light enough not to get overheated...with a heavy sweater under, could even use in winter!
