A good sturdy boot that has been fairly easy to break in. Going on a major hiking trip in 2 weeks. At first they were quite stiff, and except for one small heel blister, the boots performed well on a 13 mile AT hike. Will update after my trip.

Best boots ever! They are comfortable and supportive! I feel confident hiking in them! I have a broken in pair and a new pair!

I got the woman's size 6 wide and it fits great as I have small sorta wide feet. I usually wear youth size 5/woman's 6-6.5 shoes. (Crocs size 4 -6 if that helps). There doesn't seem to be a strong arch, and that works well for me. Awesome traction, I've been wearing them for 6 months and only slipped and fell once (and that was completely my own fault). I work as a steward outdoors, biking and walking a lot. The shores feel lightweight and tough. I used to wear an old hand me down pair of Asolo's that were amazing, but these are pretty great as well. Waterproof is still holding up. I've gone through a few downpours and puddles and the feet stayed dry. Expensive but worth it. I'd recommend trying them on in a store, as everyone's feet are different.

I was ecstatic when I tried these boots on, immediately I thought I would be a life-long Oboz customer. I tested them in the store and around my house, they were the most comfortable, supportive hiking boots that I have found. Little did I know that 3-4 miles into every single hike the boots would start rubbing and my feet would be in pain. I've tried a multitude of different socks, it doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm giving the boots one more chance and sadly I'll need to cut my losses if they still hurt my feet. It's unfortunate that I spent my hard-earned money on these expensive hiking boots. Super disappointed in Oboz customer service, they do not have a solution for me.

I was prepared to love them, but they don't stretch out at all, even after weeks of wearing. The ankle fits like a dream. I love it. But the wide is simply not wide enough. I had them stretched at REI today, but was warned that they may just retreat to their original size due to the nature of the material. The arch support is good, but so pronounced that it lifted my toes in to a position that is not relaxed. I was surprised that they hurt after only a mile of walking. There seems to be a little too much lift under the ball of the foot.
I just retired 10 year old Lowas and was hoping that the OBOZ would be a good replacement, but they aren't. I never thought I'd say there's too much arch support, but there is, and they're not wide enough in the toe box. I don't wear Keens anymore because they've gone so far down in quality. They fit like a shoe box now instead of a shoe but at least they understand what a wide tow box should be. Also, the waterproof OBOZ are HOT.

I had a pair of Oboz once before and loved them. Unfortunately these boots didn't fit my foot properly. Returning the boots was difficult because your website wasn't working when I tried to begin the process so I had to call., an investment in time I didn't appreciate. Then I needed to find a place to print the label. I realize that this return process might be a good one for your company as the multiple steps makes it more likely people won't return the boots. i financial loss for the customers and a money maker for you. Please go back to including the return address with the shipped items.

I had the older version of these boots and was OBSESSED with them. When I didn't see them on the site anymore I got nervous and held onto the older pair longer than I should have. Eventually I caved and tried these out and was just as impressed with them as I was with the first pair of Oboz boots I had. I have bunions and have struggled to hike more than four miles in any shoe without having to crawl back to the car and not move for the following 24 hours. Finding this pair of hiking boots changed the game! I can hike 10 miles a day and still be upright the next day. They have a wider toe box and slimmer ankle and I couldn't recommend them enough!

I lost my previous pair of Sawtooth X - they were the most perfect hiking boots I had ever owned. Light, waterproof, and a perfect fit. So comfortable This updated model feels tighter around the toe box, they run hotter, and they hit a little higher on the ankle, digging in as I hike on angles. After three days strenuous hiking in Yosemite I have decided to keep them, but I sure do miss the older model.

My walking consists mainly in walking daily in my high-desert neighborhood on gravel/dirt roads, and the occasional half-day hike on either high-desert or nearby mountain trails. My first pair of Oboz was a Sawtooth II waterproof. I loved it. There was plenty of toe room. They were a great compromise between stiff-stout/supportive and flexible. Though waterproof (resistant?), they were still breathable. The Sawtooth X waterproof is stiffer and less flexible as well as less breathable. I've been wearing it for about 6 months starting in the fall and it is still stiffer than I like. As soon as temperatures warmed up this spring, and the sun (it is very strong at 7000') started hitting the roads, my feet started getting hot on our daily walks, forcing me to consider buying a non-waterproof pair (I discovered that the Sawtooth II waterproof was considered just as breathable as the Sawtooth X non-waterproof!). I give the Sawtooth X waterproof 4 stars because of its poor breathability, and would if I could knock off another star point (not the whole star) for being so stiff.

...and I love dry feet. This winter in California we have seen record rainfall creating some of the most spectacular puddle fields along my dog walking route. While most stayed on the paved roads, I with my puddle seeking pup were able to head directly into the middle of the fun. My feet stayed dry thanks to my waterproof Sawtooths and my pup came out soaking wet, smiling.

So far I am loving my new hiking boots. I've been wearing them when I take my dog on walks on the trails around my house and they are very comfortable. I wore them in the rain the other day and my feet stayed 100% dry. My feet do get a little warm in them when I wear a thicker sock. The only thing I don't really care for is there's a spot where the shoe tongue and outside of the shoe come together makes an uncomfortable point sometimes. I do feel this will go away as I break them in more and more. Overall very happy with these boots and excited to go on a bigger hike in them soon!

Prior to the online purchase, of these Women's Sawtooth X Mid Waterproof Hiking Boots, I conducted a lot of research of other brands. I much prefer trying footwear on in the retail store vs. online to stand and walk in prior to purchase. Also, to avoid a costly return shipping fee. I decided to order these online and take my chances. I loved the style, the features and color choices. I decided to get the Charcoal Color. Lo and behold, the day these were delivered I opened and tried them on. They fit perfectly! They are also extremely comfortable and
I love the style...they look better than the photo. I consider these boots an investment in me. I admire the reputation of the company philosophy of planting a tree for every pair of OBOZ sold. Thank You OBOZ!

This Hiker Boot is extremely well made and it felt very comfortable when I tried it on. However, my deduction for one star was that it was too narrow and a struggle to get on even with thin weight stocks. I always wear socks appropriate for hiking boots and this boot would not have worked out. I returned to LL Bean for a full refund.

Shoes are fine. However I have nothing to say about a company that completely ignored several customer service questions I had before buying. I waited several days and weeks yet nothing but radio silence until after I had bought the shoes. Despicable and lazy!

The waterproof version of these boots seems to run a half size smaller than normal. Non-waterproof are true to size.

Well constructed sturdy boot. I wear an 8.5 and ordered 9.5. Even without socks they fit like an 8.0. After reading reviews I'm thinking they were mis-sized. Will have to try on in a store.

I really like the way OBOZ fit, secure in the heel but with lots of room in the toes. These boots provide excellent traction in any kind of weather conditions, and keep my feet dry.

Great support, no break in time - but do not breath. Very hot - would be hard to wear in the summer. Other than that, I love them!
