The blue is very blue. Runs half in not entire size larger plus it's wide. If you have a wide feet I think they could work. Light and quality seems good. Too large for me.

My problem bent toes felt slightly cramped on the outside edge, even with the wide toe box. Yet the shoe overall was probably wider than I needed. I also didn't care for the zero drop platform. I really was hoping these shoes would work for me, I love the color and design!
I'd also recommend:
Recommend Topo Athletic, for more accommodating toe box and 3mm heel to toe drop.

No longer buy Altra's although they used to be my favorite shoes.

Wearing these in the ER and Urgent Care clinic for 12 hrs, 5-6 days/week is great, but please design them to last longer given the price point.

Love the fit of these shoes, but I don't like how these shoes wear. I've had multiple pairs of lone peaks and all of them wear out on the top. Also, there are never any nice bright colors in wide. I can only order the ugly blue color. I want the bright oranges and reds, etc. but those won't fit my feet.

I suffered major injury to my ankle a few years back and I tried (through Amazon Prime) eight, no less! varieties of shoes that provided maximum cush. The Lone Peak (4.5 at the time) won hands down because they were, by leagues, the most comfortable! Not to mention they offered an all burgundy style so that I could have one pair for dress and one pair for the real dirty everyday! They are all I wear! They wore out and then I purchased the Lone Peak 6. They were even better! A little higher and therefore a bit more cushion! HOWEVER! I was hard pressed to select a style as Altra had removed a single color version and had reverted to the common clown style colors that, it seems, all the sports shoe companies have to offer! For those of us who wear them everyday for anything, a sports shoe with a white sole and an orange stripe or whatever is currently being offered DESTROYS a chic outfit! PLEASE offer an all one color (sole and shoe) dark muted color such as Teal, Burgundy or forest green so that those of us who wear sports shoes everyday everywhere can pair them with something other than sports clothes! It's simple too, if you watch the availability of sizes you can see the more garish ones are always in full supply and the muted ones sell out first! The shoe company that realizes they could add subtle downplayed shoes will reach an entire unfulfilled market, that is, the people who wear sports shoes everywhere1 That's money in the bank for you! And not black! Black tennis shoes are gross. It's a fact. Yep rich colors. Teal. Burgundy. Forest green.
I will say in the Lone peak's favor that everyday that I wear them I consciously think as I am walking along "God I love these shoes! They are like walking on clouds" and they stay that way, too!" But PLEASE! Stop with the ugly colored shoes and white soles!
I will also note the Altra 6 added these ridges on the protruding rear edges and the ridges do nothing as far as I can tell but collect dust and make the shoe look yucky, ie., not clean. There are also additional tiny air vents but then the toes also look dirty all the time as the tiny holes collect dirt! Also during the first snowfall I felt cold bits as the snow entered the shoe's holes/vents and then melted! Stream line please! Like 4.5's!
I hope to see all teal, all burgundy and or all forest green. If you don't offer something more tasteful and less clownlike (and why do women always get the MOST garish combos???) I am going to have to begin a new search for cush You are missing a huge market!
Blissed out by comfort but hate the colors so I guess that's a 3.

I've loved my Lone Peak 5's for years. They're the only wide width trail running shoes that satisfy my extremely high instep. But, they wear out eventually, hence the search for the newest model. But gray? GRAY? That's all we wide-footed people get? We can't get this new dope red with white footbed? Or the salmon peach? Or the turquoise? Why don't you love the wide-footed folk, Altra? Whatcha got against us? Why can't we be fashionable like the rest of your customers??? Please definitely reach out when you offer something in an actual color to your wide customers. I'll be eagerly waiting a purchasecuz I can't run trails without these! They rock!

I always wear an 8 in a sneaker or boot. The Altra Lone Peak 6 is larger than any other size 8 I've tried on. There is lots of room for the toes but not the sturdy toe cap that I want when hiking. Also, I ordered the green and it is bright.

Please PLEASE make a color besides navy in wide. Between these and the wide navy Torins I have just so many navy shoes. It's horrible!! Literally anything but navy, and I'll buy it!!! All of them! Other than that, great shoe. My wide feet feel good until I look down and see the navy.

I love Altras, I really do. The toe box and fit are phenomenal. But here's the problem, and it remains with the Lone Peak 6s: the inside lips, just above the last lace hole, tend to fray. And fast!
This is what happened with my 4s too. I've never had this happen with any other brand.
I'm honestly not even sure how it happens so quickly, but within a week of having the Lone Peak 6's, the inside lip on the right was coming completely frayed. Within a month, the lip on the left shoe was starting to do the same. It doesn't impede functionality but does look pretty bad.
The only other thing I can think to criticize is that the grip isn't the best on the market, but in terms of functionality it's a great shoe. I simply don't want to keep buying shoes that fray so fast.

I have the Lone Peak in the wide. Love the shoe but I wish you had more colors in wide. Will not be buying again until you add more colors with width choices. The only color available in wide is an ugly geriatric blue.

The construction and quality of the shoe are great. I love the grippy sole and the Altra foot shape. I was really excited to break these in on the trail. However, this shoe was causing me a lot of inwards pronation. I have a neutral gait and this shoe was making my ankles and feet pronate so far inward that my knees kept colliding when I walked. I wore them for a week and my knees were really hurting and I've never had knee problems before. I went back to my old Altras and everything felt better right away. I don't know if this is the standard design of this model and I should look into another trail shoe that has a more neutral pronation or if there was something wrong with my specific shoe.

I bought a pair of these Lone Peak 6's and a pair of Lone Peak 5's. The 6's are a bit too wide in the toe box, which wrinkles when you lace them. Also, the laces are too short. About the same other than that so far. The Lone Peak 5's were PERFECT - roomy but not loose in the toe box, laces the right length so you can tie them properly and they won't come loose while walking. Both have great cushioning and tread for dirt trails - haven't tried them on rocks/boulders yet. Bottom line - I prefer the 5's. I don't know why y'all changed them. Please go BACK to the way the Lone Peak 5's were made.

Love how these fit, I have bunions, and these are a life safer. The reason I wouldn't buy them again, is the sole wears out ridiculously fast. They are super grippy when then are new. I would love a version of these with a Vibram sole. Also the laces are super slippery.

My orthopedic doctor recommended the shoe. I needed a wide toe box for my bunion. The toe box was definitely wider than my Hoka Speedgoat 4. However it was too wide for my foot. The length was fine. I had to return it.

whenever I walk; my disappointment and maybe because I am not a runner, the weakness around the ankle; I wear a new balance that feels like a security around it; I rate it a 2 star but added one star for toe box is great

Needed to go at least a half size larger. Where the mesh part of the upper meets the leather part around the toes was going to be a problem with toenail catching on the seam. Sadly am sending back although they were stylish.

The shoes fit true to size. I wanted to like these shoes, I was very hopeful since all the reviews were positive. I have terrible plantar fascitis, and I'm on my feet for 8 hours plus with my job. I need good arch support and heel cushioning. The altra provides little in the way of heel support. After about 3 hours my heels felt like they were being jabbed repeatedly. The only positive is that the toe box is wide, which was nice.

Everyone said to order a half size up so I ordered an 8. Guess what? They were a half size too big! Returning these and getting my normal size. Hopefully they’ll fit because they are super cute and have potential.

These shoes are flimsy and terrible quality. They fail with minimal hiking within 6 months. Get Topos and save yourself from blisters and a very cheaply made poor quality shoe.

I wear a size 9.5 in the many, many Altra shoes I have worn since 2015, and a 9.5 in this Lone Peak is the right size. A larger size would be much too long. I rotate between about 8 pairs right now, depending on the surface and whether I am running or walking. Up until yesterday I had only walked in them a couple miles each time, and they were fine. Yesterday I ran and walked almost 6 miles on a single track bike trail. At the end my toes were extremely sore and tender, and remain that way today so much so that my Escalantes were uncomfortable to wear for my usual 4 mile run on Saturday morning. A ridge/rough edge can be felt inside the toe box right were your toes are and this rubbed against my toes causing the pain. My other Altras are smooth in this area so I don't know if this is a defective pair or typical for this version.
