Kept us dry during a severe thunderstorm, didn't have to worry about water getting in, plenty of space between the tent and the rain cover to store things while sleeping but they still were protected

I absolutely love this tent. So easy to setup; under 10 mins. The two person is perfect for me as a solo camper. Nice and roomy on the inside.
I used it last summer at Mesa Verde. One of the days I was there wait was really windy. I think we had gusts up to 40-50 mph and all day. Other tents did not fair very well; my tent didn't budge at all. It also rained all day on my last day and through the night. The tent stayed nice and dry. The footprint did its job because that was the only dry spot was under the tent.

Good Job North Face, you knocked it out of the park with the StormBreak series tents.
I purchased this tent after seeing a friend with it on a recent camping trip and decided to purchase my own since it was on sale. This tent may not be the lightest but it is extremely robust, easy to set up, and affordable. I especially like how roomy the inside is with ample headroom to sit up and stretch after a good nights sleep. The interior gear loops and pockets also make a great place to store gear and hang a light or two for night time visibility. The dual doors are a nice touch so you don't disturb your camping partner if they are sleeping. I would absolutely trust this tent in heavy rain/wind as it has plenty of guy lines and stake points to anchor it securely to the ground. Don't forget to protect your investment by purchasing the footprint as well.

this weekend I went out and camped in Joshua tree not knowing that there was going to be high winds the entire weekend and that tent stayed up and literally 20 mph winds I put extra steaks into the ground to keep it stable, but that tent did not budge and along with a sleeping med that kept me warm all night that tent was well stuck in the ground great tent great quality would recommend

Its a very well thought out design with lots of great features. I love everything about this tent except the weight. There is a bit of a learning curve with getting this tent setup and dialed in. To make the best use of the ventilation and/or prepare the tent for stronger winds, you're going to need more stakes than what is included. You will also need to purchase the ground sheet separately or provide your own. The poles that come with this tent are good but not indestructible. I've never had any problems, ever, but I have read some horror stories. My best advice regarding the poles is not to rush things and to follow the instructions for setting up the tent. If you do that, the poles should outlast the fabric. Don't overtighten anything, snug is all you need. Use some common sense and this tent should last a decade no matter how often you use it.

My 6 year old needed a small, heavy duty tent for his room. He loves to "play" camping but only with real gear. This doesn't seem like an appropriate test for durability, but trust me he has put the tent through its paces and it's held up. It's the perfect size for two folding memory foam pads and two tall adults fit comfortably and it's huge for kids.

I use the Stormbreak 2 in a variety of settings from ponderosa pine forests to the Sonoran Desert. It has held up in high winds and several days of continuous rain without any failures.

The Stormbreak 2 has held up amazingly well in high winds and rugged desert backcountry trips. We had two nights of rain and the interior stayed nice and dry. I have no regrets about purchasing the Stormbreak 2.

Tried it during a Florida storm, tried it in windy/38 degree weather and held up nicely. For recreational camping this is all you need. A nice, sturdy tent you can rely on in most weather conditions. Definitely recommend and would buy again.

Needed a good quality two person tent for all the bike races we go to and camping trips. This is perfect. Small enough to keep everyone inside warm yet big enough to sleep comfortably and have some extra gear/personal items in the tent. Highly recommend Northface does an amazing job of orienting their products. I have been using them for decades. We have not use this in the winter and I'm not sure we will so we cannot comment on that but in the colder temperatures for fall it's been perfect.

great tent, good weight, right price, easy to set up / take down and pack, waterproof, room enough for two, can stow some gear outside under rainfly doors. One thing I noticed was the cross bar pole ends seem to very tight to the rainfly and may cause some wear over time but we will see. We used it on a canoe back pack trip in the Adirondacks and it performed well. Would recommend for any three season trip with limited weight or space for packing.
