I took my grandson camping last week and he wore these, at first he was reluctant, but he soon warmed up because he experienced how much better he could maneuver terrain. They feel solid and well built.

My 8 year old hiked Mt Washington in the rain in these boots! His feet were dry even after stomping through streams on the trail! Very pleased and they will be taking him to more 4,000 footers this fall!!

I bought these for my daughter for our trip to a national park. She wore them all day long for several days with no complaints! There didn't seem to be a break-in period, they were fine from the start. She did trails, grass, and rocky coastline with no trouble. I will advise that you SIZE UP! Even with regular (not overly thick) socks, her usual size we could barely get her foot into, and then it was too short in the toe. I exchanged for a full size up and they were perfect. Overall an excellent boot!

Have a wide, small foot - women's 5.5 D - and this kid's Trail Model Hiker fit perfectly! Comfortable and supportive and just the right height. Purchased LL Bean wool socks to wear with them.a perfect duo!

Boot is super cute on my daughter. Bought the tan and navy version. Comfortable on my daughters foot without needing break-in time.

Bought these for my son for hiking and 4H outdoor activities. He normally wears a 4 but based on other reviews I ordered a size up and they fit great. He loves them!

Our son wore these for 9 straight days through 5 National Parks and 1 National Monument. Fantastic grip on slickrocks. He jumped confidently from rock to rock and had a blast in them. Great ankle support. I highly recommend them!

Great shoe, comfortable and saved us many time - it gives great stability. I would never consider buying other brands, just because the quality is so great and it durability, too (my child went from size 11 to 3 wearing the same shoes from LLBean in size 1, incredible).

Waterproof, comfortable, and extremely supportive. My 8 year old hiked marble, Esther, and whiteface in these after only wearing them for a walk around the neighborhood. Not a blister or rub to speak of. The laces are long, we had to tie them around the back of her boot a few times to prevent tripping when her laces got caught on rocks.

My 7 year old daughter said they were comfortable as soon as she put them on and we love the dark pink color. We had these same boots for her in the previous size and they held up wonderfully through hiking and camping both in snow and in summer.

My 5 year old son hiked trails daily for a week in Sedona Arizona and did not experience any discomfort! We tried on in store to make sure the fit was correct and staff was extremely helpful.

Bought these for my 5 year old after she rolled and fractured her ankle on a previous hike. These are comfortable and have great ankle support! She wears them all day and doesn't want to take them off.
