The hoodie is very nice, has a good cover to your face so you stay dry. It is very lightweight and I am 5'10 slim build and it fits well. I golf with it so it works for that, good layer or chilly weather. Comparing it to a brand like Arcteryx, don't think it will deflect water that well, but for light rain, it will be perfect. Nice jacket overall, black goes with everything.

What's great about this jacket is that you can wear it in any of weather. It insults heat in cold weather keeping you warm and light enough in sunny weather to keep you cool when you unzip it. It's perfect for me. Only downfall is that it only has 2 front pockets. They should have added at least another pocket on the inside.

Great jacket, I was expecting this jacket would have the armpit vents like the Venture did but other than that, they are pretty similar in make.

Have this same jacket in other colors and overall like the jacket but was disappointed this time with the wristband elastic. Is very loose as if it had been stretched out some how. The other jackets i have have a nice tight wrist area.

I've bought this item, and the color is not blackit is dark blue! It is different from all the images on the website and differs from all my other black TNF items. And, tbh, all items are different

The pockets are extremely high and awkwardly far from the front zipper. As an average height and weight, not sure the reason for this placement. Also, as compared to the older version, the hood brim is somewhat smaller so if you wear glasses they will get wet in rain.

The jacket would be better if there are pockets on the inside. More pockets needed.

I wish the hood had an option to keep it close to the face.

It seemed that, although I do wear medium, this jacket did not fit me. It was kind of tight. I would prefer a stretchable one but normally I fit medium on this. I would suggest if you're ordering get a large one step above your size I just didn't like the fit.

I live in South FL and got this javket with a vest for a quick trip to CT and it was the perfect combo! The pocket zipper broke right away (looks like i got a defective one, but NF took care of me). I didnt like that its sold as a warm jacket but this is just a rain jacket.

Good. The extended placket things on the pocket are kind of cool. Gives this thing more of a stylish look than a lot of other rain jackets. Hood could use more adjustability.

I thought I'd like this to replace an older shell raincoat. It works well, but I didn't care for the feeling of the mesh lining and the pockets felt a bit too high.

This was a replacement for a previous North Face jacket with defect. Sadly, the delivery, via FedEx, was the best part of the jacket. Poor design with this jacket. Felt as if they simply took an XL and put an XXL tag on it. Short sleeves, awkward pocket placement and non-adjustable sleeve closures. VERY loose elastic around sleeve openings.

I'm sure this jacket is great as a spring jacket. I thought it was a winter jacket when I bought it. I returned it two weeks ago and have yet to see my refund. TNF claims it hasn't been received by my tracking number states otherwise.

i use this as an everyday rain jacket. i find it's too wide in the body as i usually wear an xl in outerwear and this particular jacket fits extremely big. gets the job done when it comes to functionality however.

I am stuck with an orange jacket because of dishonest listing. Calling this color even remotely RED, is misleading.
