I purchased this for my daughter last year and am just about to order a new one for this year, and pass the old one onto her younger sister. I was initially disappointed when the 3-in-1 coat I had purchased the previous winter was no longer available, but this coat was great and I am happy to see it available again. It is very well-made and durable, and warm despite being fairly thin. She spends hours outside almost every day in all weather, and this kept her warm and dry. In my experience the zipper doesn't stick, but it is somewhat stiff and you do have to make sure that the material behind it is pushed back so it doesn't get caught as you close the zipper. The hood is large, but it is made to fit over a helmet. This is a little problematic when not wearing a helmet, but my daughter typically just wore a hat (when not wearing a helmet) and that was warm enough even in our cold New Hampshire winter. The cuffs are adjustable and the long length adds to the warmth and protection but didn't get in the way as she played. As an added bonus, the grey and pink color coordinates perfectly with pink snow pants, a pink hat, and grey boots which we already had from a different popular major retailer, and it resulted in a very pulled-together look.

Bought this jacket when visiting Maine this spring and there was so much rain and cold weather. Fit my five year old perfectly and kept her warm and dry.

Bought this coat 2 winters ago for my daughter and have loved it. The beginning of this winter a zipper tooth broke. Finally got around to sending it back to LLBean and even though we were out of the 1yr warranty they called and said while they couldn't fix the zipper they'd send us a new coat instead. Thank you LLBean! This is why my family continues to shop with you year after year

This is a lightweight winter jacket. It's not as heavy as I thought it would be so I guess it's good for layering.

I like my new waterproof ski jacket. Even though I am an 83 year old woman, the girls 14-16 fits me perfectly. It keeps me nice & warm

Jacket is well made, seems very durable. Its stiff in the beginning but once broken in fits nicely.

My daughter loves the print & style. It's a good, heavy shell. Has enough weight to it on moderately cold days; it's roomy for layering on very cold days. I would say this runs larger than other LL Bean jackets we've tried in the same size. The sleeves are pretty long (for my kid). But we cuffed the sleeve once & that works.

My kid absolutely loves this jacket! Warm, colourful and not so puffy. The hood can be folded back if they don't like it dropping on their face. Keeps them warm and so far no complaints. Winner!

Seems like it will be warm, even though it's not thick. Purchased to replace a size 4 Bean jacket in a discontinued model that was too small. Kid is 4, almost 5. On the taller side, but thin. 45 lbs. The 5-6 size is quite large and will probably not fit well until next year. Hopefully, it will fit for several years. It will get used this winter, but won't be car seat harness safe.

We ski 2 or 3 times a year so I decided to splurge on this jacket for my kids a couple years ago. They LOVE them! It's keeps them nice and warm on the mountain and it's easy to add layers under if needed. The longer length keeps the snow and moisture out and the hood fits over a ski helmet nicely! It does run slightly big, but that's helped it last and they are still in great shape! They will probably grow out of them this year and I'll be looking for something new next year. If I could change anything, thumb holes would be nice and being able to secure the bottom of the jacket to the pants like some other ski jackets allow for extra protection from the elements would be nice.
