The handle on my son's lunchbox broke in January. I see others have had the same problem. These are expensive, and I expect them to last the whole year, not break less than halfway through.

I was disappointed. This is the 3rd lunch box I have purchased through the years from LLBean. Loved the first two and used them for years. My recent purchase is 3/4 the size of the previous. It is monogramed, so I cannot return it. Was not happy.

Not happy at all! This is our second lunchbox of this type. The first one had to be replaced after two weeks of using it. The handle on the top came out of the stitching and began to unravel. Got it replaced and the second one has done the same thing!!! I've always thought LLBEAN had the best quality product but I'm beginning to question that!

I purchased this lunch box as a replacement to the one my kids have used for the last several years. The old one was slightly larger but you no longer seem to have it in stock. Even though it's the same shape as the old one, it is by no means comparable. I can't fit an ice pack and a water bottle in it, I need to choose one or the other. Please bring the "cooler" sized lunch box back.

Small & not quality

My old lunch box was from 2019 it held up good the inside was needing updated. I ordered a new one had it monogrammed to carry to office with my protein shakes and lunch. The handle started with in the first month. The quality is really bad on this. The color selection was not good, all the colors are depressing, they use to have bright colors. The light gray trim looks really bad and stains easily. Bring back the darker trim.

My son started using this lunch box in September and by the start of October, the handle had fully ripped off from one side. He is not particularly rough on his lunch boxes (a cheaper one from a big box store has a top handle that has held up for multiple years of use). I was doubly disappointed, both in the durability of the lunch box, and LLBean's response when I reached out. I was told I would need to mail the lunch box back for it to be evaluated and then, they *might* ship out a free replacement. I'm not sure what my son is supposed to do without a lunch box during that time I'll need to buy one anyway (and of course, I purchased his during a sale event, so even if I receive a refund after they evaluate the defective one, I'm still out extra money).

This has been my son's favorite lunch box; unfortunately, the handle broke. It almost lasted a full school year. I've never had a lunch box not last for many years. This is the first lunch box I bought from LL Bean.

Top strap broke quickly. Should have listened to the reviews. Quality is not there.

The handle came completely loose on one side the second week of school. We were not rough with it at all.

The handle broke first time it was used. We reported it and received another. Same thing happened again. My grandson now just has to carry it without a handle.

The lunch box handle detached the first day I used it.

My son has used his for 1.5 months and the handle broke this morning. I'm so disappointed. Now we have to pay shipping to send it back. Would not recommend.

I love the size of this lunch box but it only made it two days at school before the handle broke. It not only left us in need of a lunch box but also dreading having to call and attempt to get a new one. We have loved everything from llbean so I'm hoping this was just a one time thing and not representative of a change in quality.

The top handle of my son's lunchbox came apart at the seam after just the second day of use. This is the third L.L.Bean lunchbox I've bought in two years, but sets a record for breaking on the second day of use. Longtime customer of L.L. Bean for 30+ years and the quality of MANY items has taken a nosedive in the past 10 years. Prices have increased and quality is shameful. Very disappointing! L.L. Bean can't bank on its name anymore. Would love to see a return to core values and quality materials/manufacturing.

The handle fell off on day two of use. My son used it to pack a light lunch for school! Not typical LL bean quality. Will be taking back to store this week!

Horrible quality, did not even take my son two weeks through school.

I have always been a huge fan of LLBean backpacks. Ours have always lasted for years and years. I recently ordered my 7th grade son a LL Bean backpack and a lunch box. On the first day of school part of his lunchbox handle broke. On the second day of school the other side of his lunchbox handle broke. We were so disappointed!

My son used his new lunch bag for 3 days and the handle came off. It has been very gently used as is evident from the picture attached below. Very unhappy with the quality of the bag for the price. Need a replacement.

The same manufacturing defect on two lunchboxes caused the handle to fall off the first time my son took it to school. The handle came off on one side, my son is quite careful with his things and BOTH lunch boxes fell apart the first day. The first one came off before he got on the bus. Avoid these until they figure out what is going wrong.

This lunch box is too small! Nothing fits into it.

The top handle ripped off mid school year within first year of purchase. Won't be repurchasing.

I bought this for my son, and the handle ripped right off of the top after 2 days of carrying to school. Very disappointed, as i have purchased these in the past and they are still good.

Cutest lunch box for my toddler. Unfortunately, after his 2nd use, the handle broke. Can you please replace this item?
