Got the blue camo bag for my kindergartener- it's the perfect size for him to carry, it also fits his lunch box and folder. Love the side pocket for his waterbottle and we use the front pocket for extra masks. He LOVES the print and the embroidery came out beautiful.

I'm so glad to see that the quality of the classic back back has not changed, only improved styling! Lots of options from colors to embroidered text.

My 6 year old loves it! It is very sturdy and I expect it to last for many years. If I could suggest anything, it would be an elastic or some other way to tie up the loose ends of the shoulder straps. We have them tightened all the way and the excess dangles down about 9", which could be hazardous if they get stuck in a car or bus door. We just tied them in a slip knot, which works fine :). Thanks for an excellent product at a great price!

This backpack is easy to open, easy to keep organized (not too many pockets where things can get lost), has plenty of room, and is very lightweight. It's been perfect for my 4 year old, and while it's on the large size now, it's not too big and she'll get years of use out of it as she grows.

This backpack is well made, sturdy, and the perfect size for our 6y old. It fits a 3in binder, lunch box, shoes, and snow pants. We are very happy with this purchase!

My granddaughter carried this backpack last year in Kindergarten until March when the school lockdowns began,so it was ready to go when first grade began. She loves the flowers and her monogram and I also got her the matching lunch bag. They both still look brand new even after some rough treatment and I know she will enjoy using them both several more years. Seems pretty indestructible to me.

My first grader needed a bigger backpack because he's taking his remote classes at our YMCA and needed something big enough to carry all of his books and supplies in. This bag is perfect and now matches his shark lunchbox!

It's a good material.

My daughter picked this backpack for first grade. She selected the "rose" color for her monogram, which shows up nicely and complements the flower design. I do wish the actual monogram was bigger. The backpack looks great after a few weeks of use. I'm not surprised, as I had these bags growing up and they're all still in good shape. The bag itself is roomy. Her big water bottles easily slide in the secure side pocket and her lunch box fits with plenty of room for her laptop and folders. This is such an upgrade from the cheap character backpacks we used for preschool!

Kids are rough on backpacks. I bought one of these 2 years ago when my daughter started school, and just purchased one for my son as he prepares for kindergarten. The prints are adorable, they hold up well and are remarkably stain resistant.

My son loves it! The material is durable and it's the perfect size for him for school!

My stepson is 9 years old and he can't wait every year to pick out his bookbag from LL Bean. He loves the different patterns (he got the shark one this year). This pack is just the right size for younger kids just starting out in school. Not too heavy. Built with the same quality as their other back packs. Fun prints, too. My granddaughter loves it!

I purchased this backpack in teal lagoon houndstooth. It's such a fun and cheery color and the quality is exceptional. I buy these backpacks once a year during an annual backpack drive to donate to students in need. I can only imagine how excited a student will be to receive this backpack from LL Bean and to fill it with his/her supplies for the school year. They are beautifully constructed and the patterns and designs are so uplifting and fun.

The print is fun and whimsical yet not so childish that you will have to get a new one when the movies change. It is a sturdy constructed bag with plenty of pockets and places to put things. It is a great kids' bag for school,

This is the second L.L. Bean book pack we have bought. Our oldest is going into her third year using the same bag and I knew we would be getting my youngest the same bag. While my kids are still in preschool, I felt we needed a bag that would last many years rather than trying to buy a new bag every year. My kids love them so much, they fill them up with toys and wear them at home. Whenever we have to get a new bag, I plan on sticking with L.L. Bean.

As a teacher, I see many backpacks not survive the school year. I bought this for my son when he was in Kindergarten and he is still using it and now he is entering 4th grade! We will upgrade next school year for Middle School but I plan on him getting one last year out of it. So we already got 4 years use of it and the matching lunch box, and we are planning on 1 more school year so 5 years- Definitely worth it! I am hoping for more patterns so I can order for my youngest as he enters Kindergarten in 2 months! Shark in the smaller one would be great...if not will be getting the solid red one.

Always been a huge fan of these and the pattern is so colorful and bright! Very nice, sturdy, lots of pockets and fun places to keep things. My granddaughter loved it for school and purchased the matching lunch bag.

This is the best backpack I have ever had. It is advertised as a kids' backpack but it is more than large enough for an adult to carry. The size of the book pack is perfect for carrying anywhere I need to take multiple items. I bought the True Teal Floral Camo color and it looks great. I would highly recommend the L.L. Bean Original Book Pack!

This backpack is sturdy, stylish, comfortable, has ample storage space and fits the bill perfectly!

We love this backpack! Simple, great size for elementary school, durable material. Pattern and colors are bright and beautiful. Only problem - our teacher spilled gorilla glue all over it and we can't get it out.... zipper won't work now because of the glue. Wish we could replace it.
