My son picked this out for pre K and he loves it! I love that it will last through elementary school. He calls the design "origami baby t rexes."

I purchased for 9 year old girl and got the one with the big flowers on it. She loves it and I like the fact that it has some reflective material on it for those early mornings during the winter.

I ordered the shark print classmate book bag & was torn between whether I needed to get him one with a lap top "pocket" or not. Turns out this classic has a large mouth opening, extra padding in both the back wall AND the shoulder straps, AND a smaller front pocket perfect for pencils, crayons, calculators, or another other smaller tool. I was going to send it back and get the XL, but seeing how this one has all this room and padding, plus a durable feeling material & stitching, we decided to keep it. My son loves it!

Order the regular size backpack for my 1st grade daughter this year and she loves it, she said it was her favorite backpack she's ever owned great material and well worth the price

I have been buying these backpacks for my grand children for five years and wouldn't think of buying anything else. They are super durable, reflective in the dark, and they come in appealing colors for the kids.

Great, simple yet sturdy backpack. Got it for my kindergartner. I got it monogrammed locally because some people commented the monogramming was small.

I purchased this backpack for my daughters first year of preschool! We love the size because it will fit a folder and eventually a pair of snow pants (Minnesota), but doesn't look too huge on her back! We opted for LLBean so we can easily distinguish her backpack from her classmates. All I am seeing lately are the rainbow/unicorn/cartoon options. This seemed more her style! The quality seems great so I am hoping we won't have to purchase a new one for a few good years! Highly recommend to anyone in the market!

The shark print is fun and overall, the book bag seems to be well made. My son had the junior version for several years at day care and needed a larger size book bag for kindergarten. The recommended navy-blue thread for the monogram looked like it would be washed out against the shark print. I went with orange bold text for the monogram to really stand out against the busy print and I am happy I did. I wish the letters were bigger though. I know five-year-olds are tough on stuff, but my son scrapped a chunk off the reflective piece on the front pocket within the first week of school. I'm kind of annoyed about that considering this book bag was over $50 (with monogram), but oh well. Hopefully it will hold up for several more years.

My son is going into kindergarten and will let me know quick that paw patrol or Batman is baby-ish! Once I seen the shark backpack I had to show him! He loved it! I had it monogrammed with his name and will definitely be his backpack for the next few years!! (We all know kindergartners only bring home a folder a day lol, so it will hardly have any wear!)

We originally bought the junior edition of this back pack for our 5 year old starting kindergarten. It was too small so we exchanged it for this one. It's a little big but it'll last for years to come. Exchanging it was easy too. No issues so far.

The backpacks are sturdy - they last forever! My grandsons pick the print that they want & I buy them for them. They live in a different city from me, so it is a good way for me to wish them a good school year. This year, the older boy did not need a need one; the younger boy had outgrown his. I love the free monograms & the fact that you will ship them to our grandsons.

This pack is perfect for our 7 year old daughter. I like that it has a water bottle pocket on the outside. We've purchased all of our kids Junior packs and then upgraded to the classic and then deluxe as they grew even though they didn't physically need replaced. They're actually all in near new condition (even the one that's 8 years old) The zipper on one of our packs broke a year in and LL Bean replaced the bag after attempting to fix the zipper.

This is the second time I have purchased these backpacks, because I love the durability and the design. These last all year and beyond.

I bought this backpack in 4th grade and it lasted me until 12th grade. It is pretty beat up by now, but only because of heavy use. If you take care of it, it may be able to last you even longer. I would highly recommend for a long-lasting backpack.

Very durable and my son loves the space print. The bookbag is a good size for my k-4 son who is a lot taller than most kids his age.

The bag is beautiful and durable. Our daughter loves caring this to school. I love it because I feel the straps are very supportive and help save her shoulders. We also had hers monogrammed and it came out looking great. If we have to replace it we will buy another one!

Our kiddo is headed to school for first grade and needed a real back pack. It has plenty of space in the main compartment for school things (or summer adventure stuff) as well as a lunchbox, the smaller compartment has several useful pockets for keeping track of a pen or pencil, school ID, lunch money, you name it, and the smallest pocket is perfect for last minute additions on your way out the door. Zo likes to toss a breakfast bar in there just in case she needs a snack. As soon as we received her new bag she wanted to use it for everything :) She is rough and tumble and plays hard, gets dirty, and is famous in our family for putting things "to the test". We got her new pack mid July and by the end of July; it had been dropped in the swamp, left outside in the rain, it's been filled with sand at the beach, and... a banana had been mushed in the second smallest pocket. We've had to wash it twice but it's still going strong, no stains, no frays and leaving us with no worries. I grew up with L.L.Bean back packs and put them through the same types of abuse and I still have one of mine! I'm so proud to have my child sporting her first real backpack, and felt loving nostalgia when we looked through the L.L. Bean catalog just like I did with my mom. All in all I am as happy as I could be with my purchase!

Love these backpacks! So much room in them. The kids love all the pockets and compartments. They hold up so well and wash wonderfully. Bought them for my children. Now I am buying them for my Grandchildren.
